I'm going straight away to check this out. This is exactly what I want for a Christmas/birthday gift, and I've been shopping around which is how I found you (looking for Bird Buddy reviews). I had one before, years ago when the technology wasn't as good, and it was ravaged by squirrels no matter what I did to detour them. I kept hoping Broome would develop one since that's the only brand of feeder that works for me (squirrel buster line). I really like the look of the bamboo one and am wondering how it might hold up in Florida climate. Additionally, we have to bring in feeders at night or we get rats.
The pole mounts worked fine but the pole I used was a little small. I really had to tighten it to get it to stay and sometimes it slid down. It stays up now but if I had to do it again I would get a larger pole
It appears you are the online SME for bird feeders! We enjoy your videos, keep up the great work. For the bamboo feeder the company recommends "To extend the lifespan of the bamboo housing of your Birdfy Feeder Bamboo while reducing the occurrence of mold or peeled varnish, it is recommended to apply a suitable sealer to the bamboo surface before use." They recommend doing this every 3 months, which seems to be a lot of maintenance for this feeder. Have you found this necessary to prevent the bamboo wood for getting mold or mildew over an extended period of time?
yez, very necessary to seal it, also the box where the camera is hidden in had like a nest of 200 earwigs in it when I removed the camera ofter one month. The perfect warm nest for them.

I was wondering where to purchase the bamboo perch extender? I’m debating on the plastic feeder vs the bamboo. I’m concerned the plastic won’t hold up to the strong north winds we get here. I do notice with the bamboo feeder the right side of the image is a bit skewed. Do you have experience with the sturdiness of the plastic? Is it more like the “little Tykes”. playhouse plastic, or like a Walmart bird feeder plastic? I just got the birdhouse (gift from My Son) and it is amazing. I look forward to your feedback.
@@MrGeekmeout it depends. If you’ve never had a feeder in your yard it will probably take a few days but if you already have feeders around they will probably check the new feeder out within a day.

@@hotcoff1 I didn’t do it to mine and it has gotten some mold and mildew so yes I would recommend it.
I set bamboo one up today, so thanks for tip as I shall do this.

What does anyone suggest to seal / protect the bird feeder with?
Thanks in advance

Not going ti lie I skipped through it, are the names popping of the birds the app or did you do that?
What you thinks of have one or two birdfeeder?
I think having variety is good! Maybe one platform (like this one) and one finch feeder. People go all out with tons of feeders though.
What is the position for the netvue bird feeder the back yard or the front yard?
You could really put it wherever you want. Just avoid having it be in direct sunlight (into the camera) and consider your neighbor’s privacy as well.
@@BadgerlandBirding how long it take to the bird comes to the new birdfeeder that I put?
