How do they choose the Firefighter medics for selection? Do the fire chiefs present the Police department with candidates or are the medics able to apply on their own? Also, what are you looking for when choosing these medics? Would further education such as a PA help at all? Thank you!

Nick, did you ever get a chance to try out for SWAT? Or is it heavily preferred to have military experience? Do any non veteran police officers get the opportunity? It seems like everyone in the SWAT VLOGs on your other channel are all ex marines. Thanks!
I know in some departments you can try out even if you don’t have military experience. Like here in sweden
Never fired a gun before I joined the police. I made it. Passed my course, went on and did my sniper course. It’s achievable.
