rule#1: write a proposal to get people of calls instead of selling yourself.
rule#2: write it as project proposal, not as Job application.

In addition to his tips always keep an eye on Spelling mistakes and Grammar. This is super important. If you want to be professional then this should be at the top of your list.

Seriously though, I have some problems hearing so calls can be difficult. Not to mention Mush-Mouth tendencies.
Hmmm you can get away with chat since you may not have a choice, or solve it with some type of hearing tech.
Of course, if hearing is a physical unsolvable issue, go for chat (y)
@@AleksanderVitkin Yeah, it's weird. My hearing is decent, It's just muffled on a phone or with any background noise. I don't have the funds right now, but I would like to get noise-canceling headphones with a mic that I can Bluetooth to my phone.
Don't use bluetooth. Get a $40 usb gaming headset that is highest rated on amazon for noise cancellation, then amplify audio in windows to the maximum setting.

Yes please!
For entry level you need to build a portfolio. Make samples of the tye of service you provide. You can search here on TH-cam on how to create a portfolio for the skill you have.A portfolio is proof of your skills if you are entry level.

This is a really good video, but it's more focused on the logistic freelancers. I'd love to see tutorials like these but on video design :)
Works the same for non-"logistic" freelancers.

Unfortunately, a proposal will never be going to work if you don't have ratings, I tried the client side of Upwork, and usually, new or zero rating freelancers get filtered at the bottom. Most so LEGIT clients will only look for a freelancer with lots of jobs done and decent ratings. so if you are new to Upwork it would be challenging to even get a first client and most of them are scammers who are trying to scam you because you are new to the platform.
Some truth in this comment ..so let me ask is it easier to win jobs with atleast two people having rated your work?
@@sharonsang1213 still challenging but it is a bit better than having zero jobs done or no rating.
Read some of the other responses to this video of people with new accounts who got responses.
It is nice videos ,would help me in attaching sending sample of written proposal I have got difficulties as bignner in writing the proposal.

For example, for SEO projects i bid on behave of agency member A, and for Wordpress projects, I bid on behave of agency member B. I work with one agency in Australia that gets mid 5 figures of sales monthly from Australian clients. Upwork only.

You can find clients' name from their reviews. 90% of freelancers might have mentioned it somewhere there.

send 15 proposals per day 7 days a week AND SLOWLY IMPROVE AND OPTIMIZE don't juts do the same thing that doesn't work, it's a funnel like any other

You need to optimize it until it works. Nothing in this world that's worth doing "just works" right off the bat, you need to run your business properly, and your lead generation needs to be improved daily.

Easiest way to get banned on Upwork, trying to get clients to contact you via other means e.g CALLS. Do explain CLEARLY how to get them on call without RISKING ban.
You can make calls on UpWork itself.
