Hi Danny yet another great video diary - I tried that type of the queen bee catcher but didn't get on with it as it difficult to see what happening under the chamber, instead I got hold of push in ring type with a plastic mesh and it was really successful
Enjoyed that. Thanks for posting. Are you planning to do brood and a half on all your colonies, I know there are pros and cons. I guess you will give the swarm in the nuc some space soon, will you put then in a full sized box or add an extension to the nuc. Look forward to your updates😊
Ahh thank you for watching, yes I will do brood and a half on my hives and not so sure as it is a swarm so atm there is nothing other the. Empty frames, 21 days from the queen laying eggs so that’s most of July gone and forages dying mean wile so I was hoping I maybe able to do this as a winter nuc… I’ll have to see how it goes I may have to get extension to it if need be

Have you a stand to put the nuc onto to keep the airflow through mesh floor
