I was born and raised in OKC, and had cousins that lived in Capitol Hill. Never knew or heard about the Oklahoma Opry. Have not lived in OKC since 1976, however, I get to visit 3 or 4 times a year. Very interesting story - thanks for producing it!
I sang there years ago on the gospel night back early 2000's. I rember being nervous my throat got scratchy so I went to concessions to get a drink to try and clear it and the sweet lady told me I got just the thing to clear your throat she poured me some pickle juice and it cleared right up and I've never forgot that trick. Glad to hear it's getting a new home. Blessings

I perform their during their gospel show about 20 years ago when I was stationed at tinker. What a good time I had! So sad to see it in ruins.
This is beautiful
Thank you Kurt! I’ve been excited about this one for a while.

Hey just wondering if you could provide a location or what it’s close to or any roads? Me and some buddies like Urbex exploring!
I mean, it’s technically not abandoned anymore. But the new owners run the resonant head next door. You’d have to get permission there.
16:21 Jerry F-ing Murphy was there!
Next, they'll be tearing down the iron dome. Lost Hotel Black and other historic buildings decades ago.
🤠👍
