I recently came across Tim Wise’s discourses. This is so eye-opening to me. We’re all being manipulated like puppets by the greedy few 😢🌿✨ Is human nature this cruel?
How about 1. fully acknowledging the foundations of this country (stolen land via genocide, centuries of human trafficking, and chattel slavery, continued broken treaties w/ Indigenous people, and a continued occupation of N. America by the USA and Canada, and the continuation of government officials killing innocent Black people etc...) 2. Truth and Conciliation (look up truth and reconciling in S. Africa and Canada) 3. Stop doing harm 4. Some thoughtful form of reparations that would be designed to actually make a difference. I'm sure there is more, but that might take this country to ground zero and put it in a place where it could start to scratch the surface just a little.
