  • I got a late start driving the Model A this year for some fall color footage but was able to make this video before getting ready for some major repairs during the winter. I have several irons in the fire with regard to future content that I will be creating during the winter months ahead. Some of those I mention in this video and some I do not. Be sure to subscribe to the channel so you don't miss anything.
The video was made driving the Model A Ford on secondary roads in Jonesborough and Telford in Washington County which is located in East Tennessee. I used several different action cameras including a GoPro Hero 10 as well as an Akaso V50X.
When I am not making images for my normal (if there is such a thing) bodies of work as a photographer, I make plenty of fun videos for my Model A or other related videos from that time period that you can find on this channel too. Be sure to check them out.
As to gear, I shoot a variety of full frame Nikon cameras and lenses. Most everything is shot on a tripod to produce the sharpest images possible.
You can see more about me and my photography at my website here www.kensmithgallery.com/
Please consider a donation or becoming a member and here is why. I would love to upgrade our video and microphone system to incorporate better quality audio and sound as well as multiple cameras and drone footage in the future. Quality gear is not cheap. For example, just making the actual footage for this video took well over three hours of driving and moving two cameras around to create a more interesting experience for you, the viewer. I am wanting to add at least 5 more cameras to really expand on the driving aspect of future videos and I cannot do it alone. I really need your financial support. You can donate with the PayPal link on my channel or become a member with that link provided.
My 1930 Ford Town Sedan has eyebrow fenders and still has the original interior. It's certainly worn but it still is functional. I have rebuilt the driveline, suspension, and tie rods, installed a modernized Model A motor with oversized intake valves, insert bearings, and a high compression head. I also have a lightened flywheel and V8 clutch. The car comfortably cruises at 50MPH but I've had it up to 60MPH. I have also insulated and installed sound deadener which has made the car enjoyable to be in even at 90 degrees.

    Hello Ken,
    Enjoyed as always your TH-cam.
May be by the time you read my message, I noticed that the passenger side stone guard bracket seems to be lose, but was hanging there!
That I could observe when the GoPro camera on that pass side was filming.
Hope you did not loose the bracket.
    Further beautiful scenery!
    Best regards
    Myron

You are correct about the bracket, The weld broke of the stone guard so I have it help in place with a tie strap. One of those other winter projects!

I have been! I honestly don't know how in the world I managed to crank them out as fast as I did. It's required a lot of dedication to sit down and edit, but I have enjoyed it tremendously and I've been truly encouraged to keep at it! Lots on the drafting table planned for sure!

You've definitely had your hands full from what I've seen. All great topics, great interviews, and unique videos. Our snow melded so we still can get out at least for another week. From what i can tell.. 27° this AM, bit cold. Looking forward to some repairs on ours this winter.Im needing tires, what type tires do you have, and how are they wareing? We have gone 7800 miles in 2 years and I've wiped them out. Thanks Ken ,be safe and enjoy.

I have radials on mine but I think I will get about the same. I've picked up some 35 16" rims and will put those on for next year.
