Who else also screamed in pain when the rear stem snapped at the glass, Twice? Thank you for teaching us how to do, I needed this video

Loved this. The owners manual explained the process is a confusing and complicated way. You demonstrate how it's done and show what parts are easiest to use. Way to go!

So glad you explained the issue with the rear wiper replacement. Many of the aftermarket wipers do not have an adapter that fit the windshield wiper arm. Sometimes it's better just to go with OEM parts.

Thank you so much. This made quick work of my 2am wiper change during a road trip. My version of the RainX had a converter for the rear, rather than an insert - though with your help I was ready for either contingency 🙏

Hi, thanks for showing how to do this. Because of this video I ordered the Rain-X Latitude wipers in both passenger side 21" and also in shorter 20" because you said that you had side edge contact interference issues on the passenger wiper using the 21" wipers. I also ordered a 26" Drivers side wiper / 16" Rear wiper combo which will not arrive for 4 more days. I installed the 21" wiper on the passenger side and I have no side interference with the blade at all in my vehicle. So as far as that interference is concerned, it's not an issue for me. So it must be something to do with the manufacturing tolerances of the RX350. I noticed that the rubber wall sidepiece where the interference occurs is "formable" and can be "dented" inward to produce more clearance, even though I didn't need it.
Again, thanks for the video and your time.

Thank you a bunch. I read the directions in the manual for the front and that was ok. For the back it said to go to Lexus. Big crock. Followed your explanation and did it myself. I also have a 2017 FSport. Nice ride.

Absolutely AMAZING oversight...that the Lexus wiper engineer allows only the front wipers to be placed in a fixed vertical service mode position using the control lever, but not the rear wiper! AFAIK, this peculiar condition still exists in even the current model year Lexus'.

Great video! Thank you! I was struggling with getting the rear wiper. I used the same technique you did, turning off the car as the wiper is working, but couldn't figure out how to get the wiper blade out. To be clear, we don't want the engine running, just the car turned on and then off. Love the trick about the stalk for the fronts. I changed the wipers in the parked position, but I'll use this trick next time.

Thank you! Crazy that Lexus made it so hard to change wiper blades. Where did you get just the replacement blade for the rear? I got the entire arm at an autoparts store and it looks super cheap. Definitely saving the original arm and just replacing the blade itself next time. Your video saved me a lot of frustration - thanks!

All you have to do too put it in service mode is start car turn car off then flip up the wiper arm. You don't need the first 2 buttons sequences. Also when you want to park the car for the night and put it in service mode as to not let your wipers freeze all you have to do is shut the car off and then lift up the wiper arm and it will go into service mode.

FYI - this issue is both a problem with RainX and Lexus for defining proper fitting passenger side blade. Specs call for 21in blade. However, exact length of 2017 RX 350 OEM blade is between 20 3/4 & 20 7/8in, not a full 21in. RainX 21in Latitude blade, as purchased twice from 2 different Walmart stores (hoping it was simply a Mfg defect), is actually (tip to tip) 21 1/8in plus. Result - passenger blade outside end continually slaps hard against rubber gasket for windshield, causing multiple rubber streaks across glass and marks on gasket material. I am also contacting Lexus to let them know. Because I like RainX Latitude blades, I switched to 20in blade, which works fine.

Hey thanks for the video, I tried the same method using the same rain-x wipers. However, the 21 in on my passenger side had a little problem. Its little longer than the OEM or other brand's 21 inch. which causes a strike on the side silicon on the car when turning it on. Just wondering if you have the same problem or any recommendation on how to fix this issue. Thanks!
