    I had this surgery 3 weeks ago. I decided after 2 years of cortisone shots didn’t work. Was sent home with a sling and a wrist brace. Was able to get rid of the sling after two weeks as well as the stitches. Still have the wrist brace on for 2 more weeks and then therapy will start. I can straighten my arm 90 percent without pain, but cannot bend my arm beyond 90°without pain as of now. I’m hopeful that after therapy I will be back to normal.

    Ηey man,i'm really glad you posted videos like these. I'm 23 years old and used to be a very active athlete and musician,but the last 1-1.5 years both my arms have medial and lateral epicondylitis,De Quarvain's tendonitis and wrist pain as well. Basically my whole arms are problematic. Physical therapy,supplements,excercises etc have worked to a degree,but i'm very far from ok. How well are you now after the surgery?Do you still do the activities you love without pain?(not overdoing it,but at least having a decent everyday life). I would really appreciate an update. I hope you have recovered well.

      You sound like me kind of. I have had both tennis elbow and golfers elbow in both arms and its misery. You are quite young to be dealing with that so bad though. Be very very careful with what careers you choose.

    • @anosful
      @anosful 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mikeekim1101 Yeah it definitely is. I have to make a contract with the devil every day,exchanging pain for daily lifestyle and it's rediculous. I could be pain free all day if i did no activities whatsoever,but i don't consider that a choice. I rested both my arms for 6 months straight and it didn't work well.

    • @claudioc3517
      @claudioc3517 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@anosful how are you right now brother? Read your comment above and felt very bad for you. Especially the sentence about making a contract with the devil everyday. Can relate to that, to some degree. How are you doing now?

    • @anosful
      @anosful 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@claudioc3517 Wow,it's been a long time since i made that comment. I am much better now,not perfect but definitely more than 50-60% improvement since i made that comment. I still haven't managed to reach a level of high activity,but what seems to have worked best for me was a long term medium activity plan,combined with a few physical therapy sessions,supplementation,strengthening excersises and good sleep/rest. The only way to recover from something that troublesome is to commit to long term changes,like having to grow your body back. First of all,you have to understand at what stage your tendonitis is. If you press on your muscles and tendons and they hurt and you feel like you are pushing something squishy and swollen,then it's probably quite bad since that means there is a lot of inflamation present. Your first step is to completely,or at least minimize as much as possible ALL repetitive movements. Chondroitin and glucosamine supplements and vitamin C helps the collagen proliferation process. When your tendons feel less painful and more like stiff on the touch and you hear crunchy sounds when you grind them,then that means you are ready to reform that collagen. That is when a good physical therapist comes in play. I was fortunate enough to find a professional that had great experience and knew how much internal scar tissue there was in my hands and was able to precisely guide me through the rehabilitation process. When your hands and arms start feeling smooth and relaxed and the collagen feels tight but still flexible,ONLY THEN it means you are able to start doing more repetitive movements without worrying too much for reinjury. Also,it is important to never stop the strengthening excersises,as without them it is just a matter of time before the small repetitive injuries accumulate again. The last part is what is tricky for me even today,as i'm still getting inflamation and pain some days,but at least it subsises in 1-2 days thanks to the good blood flow and the strong muscles i managed to build over that time.

    • @anosful
      @anosful 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eating a lot of protein is also essential,since vitamin c and the rest of the supplements can't work without the main "building blocks" in our body. I can't stress enough how important it is to get all the help you can get while solving this problem. The whole issue starts from bad nutrient flow due to too much scarring and inflamation,so that means you have to resolve that AND make the new collagen strong. If you only focus on 1 or 2 out of all those things,then the relief you get will most likely be temporary and you will have relapses very often,which used to be my case.

If anyone has any help for me please reach out and give me some scoop. I’ve had two PRP injections which didn’t help. Not much info on line and the info that is online is confusing.
