Every member sings so beautifully but LISOO's parts hits us straight to our hearts! The happiest girl is my no.1 song for me! then tally, typa girl, shutdown and so on!
I don't know about you, but hearing Jisoo cuss in English makes me enjoy life again. And is worth the price of the album by itself.
The fact that Jisoo is the member with the darkest vocal colour but has this beautiful light Falsetto is impressive. I always knew her voice was very good but in this album she really shined along with Lisa.

have you noticed how Jisoo's voice is making the other girls's so bright? In Happiest Girl, Jennie's lines were so powerful because of the contrast with Jisoo's.
Same with Tally. At the end, you can really appreciate how beautiful Lisa's voice is because it comes after Jisoo's singing.
I can't quite explain why but Jisoo singing "fuck it" just destroyed me.
The album that is expensive, makes it worth it because of Chu cursing on the song...

Lisa and Jisoo hit me hard in the feels in THG!! The fragility in their voices, Lisa especially (omg I want to hear her lower register more!!), was sooo good!!

Everytime Jennie amazed me.Jennie is like a story teller .God damn the power she holds.Her voice is so powerful and how soulful when she sings.Imagine she trained as a rapper but the vocals that she serves us is so powerful ,what more she can give. Jisoo and Lisa is so good too and ofcourse Rose is always good.These girls never failed to amazed us.

I love that comment you made about female empowerment in Tally! I feel like this is not a topic I’ve seen a lot of people talking about when it comes to this song but to me it’s one of the things that makes me love it so much. Jennie saying “sometimes I like to go play dirty, just like all the fuckboys do” calling out the double standard, and then “it’s my choice and there’s no one I’m hurting, but it’s not girly”, the whole song is lyrically genius but I can’t help but think of the importance of Jennie saying this when she’s one of the most hated idols in kpop and is someone who is constantly slutshamed by haters, everytime people spread rumors and create a dating scandal hordes of people bully her online (while the backlash the guy receives is minimal in comparison) for “sleeping with everybody” for “using her body to get where she is” and just a lot of really really awful comments. She’s had people spreading rumors like this ever since she was a trainee and a teenager, saying she slept with YG to become YG’s princess, saying she’s been with this guy and that other guy, It’s just so unfair, like this is the girl who got a scene taken down from lovesick girls music video because people sexualized her (or said she looked sexual while wearing a normal, down to the knee dress). All the girls have gone through this at some point and it’s terrible, but I wanted to talk about this since she’s getting so much hate now after a new round of dating rumors, I just hope she’s okay. Anyways thank you Caitlin for the video! I really missed your reactions so I’m really glad you are back😊
Well... She is literally strongest girl I have seen. Sad thing is that... She still facing those rumors . Imagine.. Just imagine getting leak private thing.. Getting invaded privacy by some random delusional fans. It's becoming worse and and company isn't doing anything. If you don't know happening it's good. The less people know the issue it's more good. But I hope she stay strong and fight for it. I hope she's just don't see anything that's happening

Appreciate your honesty always, Caitlin. The more popularity one has the more critique and scrutiny they are under, like a freaking microscope. This is also a group of women with this popularity, and we all know women get more scrutiny from the public. Sometimes, I listen to people dissect their music and what they felt the music "did wrong", and I wonder if BP can do anything right by these people. I'm happy that they do what they want. That it feels like the company doesn't listen to all that noise. YG has their issues and for sure they aren't saints, but I'm glad that they stick to their guns on the creative direction they have for this group. These girls killed it. I'm saying that as a music fan, not just a BP fan.
I literally cried while listening to 'hard to love' and 'happiest girl'. I cried like a baby, I was so emotional and when Jisoo came in I lost it. Never was crying and sobbing so much for a long time ❤️❤️❤️❤️😩

The Happiest Girl is one of the best songs of this year! It has everything and even more. I can't stop crying everytime I listen to it. It contains a pain that only girls/women can truly understand.
Born Pink is a masterpiece. All of them shines and their skills improved drastically. Blackpink indeed is the Standard and the Revolution.

Rosé voice really is like an angel singing. I'm not fan of her when i started listening to their song, but hearing that voice live in their concert in manila, she really make me feel like i'm inside a church. It's so good that its like a lullaby.

Everyone did amazing in this album that's for real. Jennie and Rosé did amazing as always. Tho I just gotta say again and again, the versatility of Lisa and Jisoo in this album is just insane. Their vocals so beautiful and everything else is on point. They really slayed this album. For me, Born Pink is LiSoo era.

Blackpink members grow with every album and we can see it but I'll never not be shocked by Jennie how can someone change their tones depending on the songs she's really talented and ppl tend to paint her as "a princess" when she gets so much amount of hate esp these days
I hope she's doing okay and let's not forget to give the other girls credit Lisa's rap and vocals are amazing rosè as well proving why she's one of the best main vocalist in kpop JISOO!! this is her IT era her stage presence her dancing her vocals were fantastic she's getting the registration she finally deserved.
I love the reaction!! And I feel that Jisoo took that album, she rap, and the singing she hit the high notes. Before its felt like she was a back up in the first album.
You hit it on the nail. Like you said there is so much toxic fandoms out there that just hate the girls for no reason at all. If they just go and watch their documentary on Netflix they will understand the hardship that they had endured during their training days just like any other groups. That's why the "Shut Down " song is them referencing their past music and that they shutting it down the past. The part where there in the elevator going up is them moving on to newer music. i just wanna a say a big thank you for appreciating tally and speaking on its message. this is such an important song, and for a kpop girl group to have the balls to put it out there?? it's literally insane. they tackled double standards, sexism, slut shaming, haters, freedom of choice, breaking stereotypes, bodily autonomy - in this one song. it's criminal how underappreciated this song is; it's obviously more than okay for someone to not like it, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. but to not appreciate its message and the way its literally paving the way for the entire kpop scene is insane. by kpop standards it's a huge milestone, and by western standards it's still incredibly relevant and powerful.

You hit the nail head on Caitlin, we are seeing the begining of a new and improved Blackpink. "Shut Down" has a dual meaning which most missed, the first is shutting down the haters which most understood, the second and most important is when they are shutting down there past when close the door on all there old music sets and props and take the elevator up at the end signifying that they are moving on to newer and better things.

Out of all the 8 songs, Tally tops my list. It’s such a bop and an anthem. Ignoring those people who wants you to be someone according to their standards, when in fact it should be not. It gives so much power that levels up my confidence and love to one’s self. Tally is the queen 🫶🏼
I love Tally as the girls sang with their real emotions/thoughts. I think Jennie stood out for me in the song, especially she is getting tons of bad rumors with boys. I once read that 'Hate' is a reflection of one's inner demon. Instead of us responding with the same hatred, why don't we sympathise with their poor souls having to going through almost everyday. 😄
Love this album but what makes it extra special is that it sounds personal and tells their story of where the pinks are right now and where they’re heading.
These girls have a sound that made them the most beloved girl group ever with charisma, style, beats, and a dichotomy not seen before. And most of the Blinks still love those sounds, like Pink Venom. But also a lot of Blinks said is there more and of course the haters said one trick ponies and prove you can sing. So they give us Pink Venom with visuals and awesomness and beat drops and they fed us. Then they drop these songs and showed and told world, "what, you didn't think we could do this too?" They have given us hip hop, EDM, love ballads, 80's montage music, ultimate flex songs.. There is no group ever who has drawn fans from country, to rap, to metal, to pop, from every corner of the globe, who listen and react and LOVE what these modern day Greek Sirens put out. It's mindblowing!

We have the same top 3 songs on this album but the difference are the ranking. My first pick is Tally then The Happiest Girl and then Hard To Love. All my blink friends are very satisfied with this album coz it's very different on the last album they put out. And I think Blackpink really wanted to show us who they really are on this album hence the album name Born Pink. I hope on their next project they will include all member's solo or if not even just units, it will be mind blowing. One thing I regret with this album tho is that I will keep wanting more from them coz it is just too good. 😭😂

The Album has a great big new side of our QUEENS ... All songs are so impactful, have their own meanings and messages. But still, my top 3 favs would be The happiest girl, typa girl and tally 🔥💗. I wish we all grow stronger and kinder as days passes by.

Rosé has my heart and Hard To Love is my absolute fave. The Happiest Girl is next, all of them stood out vocally in that song, I’m really happy to hear Lisa’s voice more she really sang amazingly. Jisoo’s falesetto just gave so much color to it too, her lines were heartbreaking lyrically. Jennie really set the tone of this too at the start, you can tell this was going to be heartbreaking.. and Rosé, my gosh, her voice really gets me, Jennie and her last chorus with the higher tone is my fave part of the song.

I love how their voices improved for two years. You can clearly hear the difference between The Album to Born Pink. And I think you are right this is a new era for them I think that's what the Shutdown is trying to say.
They have been through a lot regardless if it is about their careers or personal lives. I'm so proud of them. This is why even if they were on hiatus for two years (music-wise) it is still worth it every time they come back. ❤
