I'm a Canadian and living in Yangon. It's not enjoyable, but........nothing like that. Great work, good luck and keep it up. Bless all of these wonderful people. They don't deserve this crap. None of us do.
Welcome to my hometown 😅. I hope everything is okay for you living there. Unfortunately, I was only born here but immigrated to the UK at age 5, so Yangoner turned Londoner.
This is very heartwarming! I can't imagine the difficulties Maung Maung and his community face. This conflict, so awful and unfair, has not broken their spirits, as they are finding solutions under oppressive circumstances. I hope their situation as a whole improves soon. You directly connecting with a community to help is incredible and it's great to see you using this platform in such an incredible way! I always enjoy watching your content. You bring a humble and down-to-earth voice to TH-cam. Thank you for your work Chai.
Thanks so much for your kind words. I’m having contact with Maung Maung on a regular basis even I’m outside of Myanmar now 🙏 still able to help out 😍 have a good day and night
Some can sit back and enjoy the beauty of a heavy rainfall from the comfort of their homes while others in inadequate shelter must suffer being exposed to it. It's sad and unfair. Thank you for doing what you can for these people.
Unfair it is. I only can help so much, but I feel grateful and strong knowing others wanna help too. Thanks as always Swampzoid 🏆 have a good day and night
Beautiful video & very heartwarming - hearing & seeing the family . We will possibly never understand or comprehend this situation . I share your feeling of sadness. We all hope that the videos you have shown can make a difference & sincerely hope the things improve soon ✌️🙏
Thank you and everyone who donated for helping those families in needs. 💗🍀 Now, many families in Myanmar are losing their homes and jobs due to the military coup.💔💔💔
As a Burma youth, I hat off your kindness and sympathy. In addition, I invite you to visit with your beloved when peace spreads throughout the country. Hoping things get well soon.
Watching this video brought tears to my eyes, you are very kind hearted Chai. Hopefully things will improve for the people of Myanmar in the near future ❤🙏
Hi Connie, I’ve had the same while editing. Luckily Maung Maung and I have regularly contact at the moment and we’re slowly working on his house and community 😊❤️ thanks again for all your support 🙏
Thanks again 🙏 I understand as people hear bombings and shootings especially during the night time. At the moment it's only "safe" in the big cities like Yangon, Mandalay, and Naypyidaw. I hope the situation will be better soon.
Just want to say a massive thankyou for your Myanmar series . I have learn alot about the country where my dear late step grand father came from. I have many, many memories of the curries and rendangs he cooked for me as a young child. Seeing the food you ate , really brought back those memories and smells. All Burmese are wonderful genuine kind hearted people and don't deserve what is going on. Thankyou. Greetings from Perth Western Australia. Safe travels!
The Kind, hospitable and generous people of Myanmar don't deserve all of that injustice and oppression. May peace and prosperity be revealed soon and thank you, Chai, for your great help.

Hey Chai. I was hoping for a video about you leaving just like the one you first came to here. This playlist felt like a journey . I hope you will come back here someday!!
I enjoyed all of your Myanmar related videos. I’ve been away from home for quite some time and it made me feel nostalgic watching your videos (especially the ones in Mandalay and Bagan). I appreciate you a lot for visiting Myanmar, helping people and even letting the world know what’s happening there. Thanks a lot.
Goodbye Mr. Chai. Thank you for visiting our country and helping our people. Most of our people are in trouble in current situation. Country's economy is decreasing. Your help for Maung Maung and his community is very useful for them. I appreciate so much what you done for them. I hope you come back to our country in sometime.

Great work! I watched all the videos of your stay in Myanmar. I can't understand the owner who told you to leave while you were taking cover from the rain. Anyways, thanks for helping as much as you could. :) I subscribed to your channel.
Thanks you for your kindness brother. I haven't watch the whole series yet but did you eat Moh Hin Gha(like fish soup ramen with tempura in it)? Most ppl consider it as myanmar's one of the best food to try but I prefer it from cultural cities instead yangon, they are totally different. When you come visit again to Myanmar after the war done, you can contact me, I can at least show you around my City(it's just beside of Mandaly) I want to show you the one of biggest bell in the world and some real deal burmese foods.
Will be donating tomorrow. Btw if you are in BKK on Sat, feel free to join on a bicycle/boat ride me and a small group of friends often do. Hit me up if you’re interested.
Thanks Armand. Any help is useful 😊🙏 I’m up in Chiang Mai at the moment. Thanks for the invitation though! I’d love to go back to visit Bangkok soon again 🤩 cheers!
I like you are helping. I am really thankful for that but he is invading other people's land. You already knew that the community stopped them to repair their house because it is squat land and you keep discussing to repair their house in that area?!! That is not healthy. If you really want to help them you should encourage them to find some land to allow them live legally and combine all of the neighbors to live in that land.
I agree with you 100%. I just feel bad for Chai that he’s helping so, I didn’t want to say anything at first but I thought Maung Maung is living in an illegal land while watching this video too. Ik inflation is so high in Myanmar right now but I’m sure $160 will definitely be enough to repair at least his floor and roof.
I understand what your saying but it's not as easy you might think. Those people live on squatted land, like millions and millions of people in Myanmar. "I should encourage them"... You think they are in a situation at the moment to move somewhere legally? If there was a better way of helping them I would but, I do not see a better way than this.
He can give light not as much as the moon, but as much as the stars .Please take it seriously , it is difficult because the system is not good in Myanmar.
just to point out. you go to the poorest people in Myanmar. It is like, going to American homeless people and show what it is like in this country. I m not mad or something. just pointing out the fact. and that place they are living, it is illegal to live there, I m sure that they get place for them to move but they don't move coz it is inconvenient for them to move to the new place. I m not saying Myanmar is safe and nice. We are all human, we have our ups and downs. Just don't judge us by looking at what's lowest in here.
Unfortunately the poorest are the majority of the population in Myanmar. I hope it will get the right leadership so people can live in better conditions
Sounds strange I understand but, due to the exchange rate and after going to two second hand timber stores before, I know that 650.000 Kyat is going a long way.
