People should also know following negative points of vespa:
1. Spare parts are not available in open market. You have to buy from authorized service center only. But he problem is that the authorised service center is also not having spare parts many times. Air filter, petrol cock also not available for days together.
2. MIleage is around 22 kmpl. High service cost. Needs service more frequently.
3. Vespa sales is very low. Many showroom and authorized service center already shut down due to poor sales. So if service center near you closes, you have to take your vespa to another city even for basic service.
4. Vespa is not premium but just an over-priced scooter. Just because its costly and good-looking, it does not mean it is premium. No features, poor after-sales experience. How can it be premium.
Remember, sales of vespa is very low. So the authorized service center will try its best to generate maximum revenue from the small number of customers. This means higher service cost, higher cost of spare parts, more frequent service, early wearing out of spare parts.
I have owned Vspa LX 125(BS4) for last 6 years and I do not recommend anybody to buy a vespa.
