TMNT is a lifelong Special Interest of mine, and even tho I’m not a weirdo fan, I’ve been called that a few times, and it’s seriously pissed me off

Where is the rest of the original cast ? :( Like I get it nobody has Beast or Angel as their favorite, but Iceman,... This guy has been the goat through both the early comics and the films.
I remembered that my favorite character was Colossus and locked it in before the video, and now I’m just sitting here reliving childhood trauma and coming to grips w/ the fact that I’m probably part Russian
My Top 5 X-Men in order: 1. Storm -The best X-Men. The main character for a majority of the Claremont run. SHE IS THE BEST CHARACTER and they constantly misuse her and her powers in almost every X-Men adaption. She’s a goddess! She’s finally starting to receive a bit of a renaissance! And I love how they’ve been portraying her with Natural hair in the comics lately. 2. Jean Grey- She mostly goes by no code name. She’s gone back to Marvel Girl a few times but right now she’s Phoenix. She finally accepted that she basically created the darn thing and it was her all along. She’s also quite the self righteous b**ch which is always fun! She and Storm also consider each other sisters and a piece of media outside of the comics (X-Men ‘97) finally acknowledges that! 3. Emma Frost - Stylish, a very strong telepath who had to work for what she has, hardly wears clothes. Need I say more? She’s amazing and her interactions with Jean are always fun. 4. Monet - A rich black Muslim mutant whose powers are literally super strength and perfection! I need her in these movies stat. The only representation she has outside of comics is that weird 90s Generation X movie that made Jubilee white. 5. Sunspot - Another hog rich black mutant but this time he’s from Brazil! They need to do more with his character. Hopefully X-Men ‘97 treats him better in the second season because I love him in the comics. He’s another character outside of the source material who’s been misused quite a number of times.
I honestly could not stand him in most movies, I wanted to, but he just annoyed me so much. I liked his iteration in X-men Evolution a lot though, I don't know what they did but I instantly liked him which was very surprising to me. For the first time I found myself cheering for his relationship with Jean and just loved his dynamic with Kurt and the other kids. Happy to say I finally like Cyclops and I also feel for him bc his powers would be so fucking annoying to have irl
Preach. OG Cyclops fan for life. And yes, I loved him even when written and portrayed poorly. Now everyone loves him because they get a glimpse of the awesomeness that I've been reading about since a kid. But they're bigger fans. 😅 And he was right. The bs writing of that storyline woke me up to the agenda pushed into comics. His struggle at that time is a stark reminder to anyone thinking differently than the loudest amongst us. He was right in soo many ways.
It really was fucking hilarious that they just kept trying to paint Cyclops poorly but they did such a poor job at it that it just kept making him look better and those opposing him look worse
1:39 so there’s this comic where wolverine explains that what’s worse than being stabbed, shot, ect, is when you heal from it. Having nerves killed when you’re damaged is one thing, but having those nerves flare back up is worse
5:05 TL;DR- For a time, it was either that or Phoenix that she went under. The attitude was that Marvel Girl represented her younger superhero years and she grew out of it. Marvel did try to bring it back during the Krakoan Era, but fans hated it. Longer Explanation: It was Marvel Girl from the 60’s to the 80’s. It became Phoenix in the 70’s, but was retconned to be a doppleganger. By the early 90’s, she dropped Marvel Girl and just went by Jean Grey. Then, in the late-90’s, her daughter from the future dies and Jean takes back the name Phoenix in her honor. Then Jean dies and is irrelevant for over a decade. Then, she finally comes back again and goes back to just Jean Grey for a brief time. Then, she goes back to Marvel Girl by the time the Krakoan Era starts. She becomes Phoenix again at the end of the Krakoan Era and the beginning of the new From the Ashes Era……. So, as a Jean Grey fan, I can tell you that her fandom accept her being called Jean or Phoenix, but hate Marvel Girl. Edit: Also, there is the secret other option for any male character in comics of being a fan because gay’s love hot guys. Just sayin’.
No lie, watching Hugh Jackman as a kid really set the tone for the kind of men I find attractive, and his age is doing nothing to slow down my attraction to him.😅

6:24 I really don’t know why people hate this line, it’s an intentional letdown that alludes to her seriousness and initial lack of humor in that movie, which paradoxically makes it funny. It’s like what you’d expect when a German person tells a joke
I saw this comment once that said the line was meant to embarrass toad because he and the brotherhood believe they are better than everyone else, and she’s telling him he’s just like everyone else.
Deadpool and Nightcrawler are my favorites, and about that Dp section I have no choice but to agree, his "fans" would get absolutely CLOWNED ON by him, because all they know is his movie version so they can laugh at the crude humor and dick jokes, when he has a shit ton of depth and is a tragic clown archetype in the comics. Still love the movies tho, can't deny XD
getting attack at the start of the video and getting it very much accurate, that hurts man (a wolverine's fan) anyway joke over, it was so funny, loved it lmao
I loved Cyclops from the original X-Men trilogy but I was in the trenches when I met other X-Men fans and they hated him. To this day, he's still my favorite X-Man and one of my favorite superheroes. Also, X-Men '97 and X-Men Evolution were my favorite iterations of him.
If we’re talking about the movies, it’s Wolverine. If we’re talking about comics, it’s probably a tie between Nightcrawler and Iceman. I like the smack-talkers who still know when to be serious like Iceman (definitely not deadpool, man’s only KIND OF serious when it’s his crew in danger.) Kurt is such a nice guy with his friends, he’s a religious guy, and he’d be more than happy to help anyone in need regardless of the situation.
Rogue and Gambit are tied as my favorite I can't choose which one I like more, and the reason is as you'd probably guess because I grew up watching X-Men The Animated Series 😆
I thought he would go through and name a lot more people not just the main core members, I was really hoping to see someone like sunspot or even longshot but they’re always overshadowed and sunspot especially is barely even known
tbh, Jean Grey's superhero name was indeed Marvel Girl, but it officially changed to Phoenix when Claremont took over the X-Men comics. in the comics the characters including her, quite literally say she is now Phoenix and no longer Marvel Girl. glad i could help (plus, no im not a Jean fan, im actually a Storm fan 🫡)

I just think deadpool funny. Yes im a Deadpool fan, No I don’t touch women, yes we exist 👍
Yeah, it sucks that parts of the fandom are so bad it ruins it for everyone else
I think the movies are entertaining, and the books can be pretty funny too and I can say laughing at the jokes hasn't made me want to assault anyone, same as how watching Jackass as a kid didn't make me want to prank anyone or do dangerous stunts, you can enjoy something and not want to use imitating it as an excuse to be a dumb ass
@@Werewolf914 Exactly man
@@NarrodJeech-f3qyeah exactly! What he said abt Deadpool fans really annoyed me as a huge Deadpool fan myself- it’s legit one of my biggest hyperfixations and maybe Special Interests, but I’m nothing like how he described in the video. Every fandom has weirdos that unfortunately more often than not make people incorrectly and hurtfully stereotype said fandom. Take Furries or even TMNT for example. TMNT is a lifelong Special Interest of mine, and even tho I’m not a weirdo fan, I’ve been called that a few times, and it’s seriously pissed me off
Likewise, love the sarcasm
As a life long Cyclops fan that has had to defend his opinion on the matter for his entire life, I wholeheartedly agree with that whole Cyclops segment lmaooo
Rogue having a nice butt is canonical, because every X character is fucking beautiful
Kitty Pryde fans where you at?
Heyyy
My favorite is Colossus. But that is because of his sound effect when activating his mutant power in the arcade game.
2:02 Ryan Gosling
He’s just standing there menacingly😭
Thank you. 🙏🏽
I've been a Cyclops fan since the first X-Men cartoon.
And though Marvel trying their hardest to make him a villain. Cyclops was right is far more true than Mangeto was right.
lol Yeah it’s funny because they tried their “hardest” but definitely not their “best”. They just kept inadvertently making him look good and those against him look bad
They did Cyclops, Angel,Ice man, Rogue, and Gambit pourky but maybe they'll get it better this go round.
As a Deadpool fan the community around him scares the hell out of me. I really enjoy the themes used in his story. Sure he’s silly, but I relate to him a lot. I enjoy his story, his character. Seeing his flaws. I’m only partway into Joe Kelly’s series for him, but I appreciate that he has emotions and struggles, and I hate that everyone just percieves him as memey. I’d like to say I don’t have a stick up my ass, but I’m also not a 12 year old stinky boy. I still enjoy his silly shit and I don’t whine and complain about the Deadpool game, I’d LOVE to play it honestly. I can still like him being treated unseriously as well as his serious aspects, and genuinely appreciate the banger storylines he has.
5:15 as deadpool fan...I literally have literally nothing to comment on, this was hilarious 😂😂😂
i was Patiently waiting for Quicksilver
Where is the rest of the original cast ? :(
Like I get it nobody has Beast or Angel as their favorite, but Iceman,... This guy has been the goat through both the early comics and the films.
I remembered that my favorite character was Colossus and locked it in before the video, and now I’m just sitting here reliving childhood trauma and coming to grips w/ the fact that I’m probably part Russian
My Top 5 X-Men in order:
The way you were dead on with Collossus for me 💀
Wolverine can also talk to animals, I think that’s pretty cool.
I love Cyclops. Like, a lot before XMen 97.
Mainly because of the optic blasts. I love eye lasers.
not lasers
optic blast!
And he was right.
I love these 3 the most.
3. Storm
2. Nightcrawler
1. Gambit
I love colossus because hes just cool as shit.

5:05 TL;DR- For a time, it was either that or Phoenix that she went under. The attitude was that Marvel Girl represented her younger superhero years and she grew out of it. Marvel did try to bring it back during the Krakoan Era, but fans hated it.
Longer Explanation:
It was Marvel Girl from the 60’s to the 80’s.
Just sayin’.
holy yap
as a deadpool fan, i don't say that i'm a deadpool fan much, i love this character but he's the rick and morty of marvel lmao, the fanbase is foul
Kitty Pryde? Laura? Magma? Ice Man? Forge? Bishop? Cable? Any of these ring any bells?
Gambit fan from the 90's who's feeling well fed outside of this video.
Great vid though man, I laughed a few times!
Jean Grey seems to almost just not have a codename in most adaptations now?
I just want to say that the Fox movies did Cyclops dirty
I liked Cyclops from X-Men Evolution.
The Wolverine thing is pretty accurate as a young woman who’s been loving Wolverine ever since I was a kid 😂 especially the Wolverine powers thing
No lie, watching Hugh Jackman as a kid really set the tone for the kind of men I find attractive, and his age is doing nothing to slow down my attraction to him.😅
@@cocojlly1375 exactly!!! I totally agree with you 😭 I just watched a clip of him when he was in the kitchen with Bobby in X2 and said, “he start my love for men in tank tops like that” ☠️ I’ll always love Hugh

Nightcrawler unproblematic king!!
I’m a simple man and Nightcrawler has a sword and a good attitude.
As a night crawler fan another reason for me personally is i think hes one of the best religious characters in media. His episode in the 90s cartoon is my favorite episode of the marvel fox cartoons. Hes a wholesome boi :)
Angel fans means never getting any representation in these sorts of lists despite being a founding xmen member
the cyclops one is so accurate 😂
“Whose power do you want?”
I want the powers of the guy who is miserable in every single adaptation!
5:50 find it funny how he theatened to kill me that was silly
Where’s quick silver
Definitely never wrung the weasel to the X2 opening scene, but it IS the reason Nightcrawler became my favorite superhero.
Saw no one here say Jubilee was their favorite so i’ll be the first one to say it.
