You are right, the traffic in Sri Lanka is really good. I have been to Colombo in 2010 and there I was amazed to see the discipline in which the city traffic was moving. India has to learn a lot from Lanka on this front. Nice vlog. Thanks for sharing.

SL is very clean. I visited in 2015. Also road sign are good. Very less traffic especially very less 2wheelers

What a beautiful country. Peaceful too (Sad it was mired in a war for more than 30 years)..I have been to Sri Lanka a few time.. The north has improved a lot. The Sinhalese a re a lovely lot. So are equally Tamils..very different from Indian society (in India one has to be very loud, by nature because of so many people and life was tough) ...
And also The Sinhalese are a very closed community and innocent and rarely knows about that there is a big world outside...
probably the Sri Lankan Political leaders have made them in to such a condition..

Everyone in the world lives and strives for more. China too. What happened to Sri Lanka is its own doing. They didn't calculate enough, the government put a blind eye to the corruption, they didn't see the broader picture. Same can be said for every country that blames china for the "debt trap". You are a whole nation. You have millions of people. Surely you have minds smart enough to tell you what is right and wrong. But what can one do when the main federal system is rotten down to the core? It is .. and it will sound shitty... Sri Lanka's own doing. Blaming china is absolute bs

Ashok Leyland is one major player in Sri Lanka's passenger and goods transportation follwed with the Japanese makers Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, Toyota Hino etc. And nice vlog! Cheers!
this type of body work used to be present in then DTC ashok leyland chassis (indraprastha bus service) and they were quite sturdy.

SL reminds me of my days in Tamilnadu 40 years ago.. straight good 2lane roads, no traffic. I remember chidambaram Cuddalore pondy and Kumbakonam , Thanjavur Trichy bus travel in similar speeds and comfort...

The system of ringing bells on buses was in BEST and CSTC buses since ages, in UPSRTC as well I have seen bells that dont work.... rest of the states also should have bells... long distance buses dont have bells

Ngl this is the one of the things I hate about my country. Bus drivers specially private bus drivers. They go at insane speed even in city roads and often this would cause accident and worse ppl died. Sadly gov at the moment afraid to do anything to change this

nice one.. but legal speed in sri lanka is 60kmph. but most of long distance bus drive around 90kmph.. hope you enjoy your visit in sri lanka. try to visit down south as well.
India Bangladesh and Pakistan are very indiscipline when it comes to road driving. Sri Lanka and Bhutan are the only South Asian countries that have very discipline traffic and Nepal is on the medium side. The only countries worse than the three are Nigeria Egypt Congo and some Arab countries.

SLTB makes life easy. But the private buses are not much disciplined. They waste time half way, and then speed up to catch up the time, or when an SLTB bus is behind them.
