San Diego Sports fishing Charter Rockfish 600ft (vessel new Seaforth)

On October 23rd, 2024, joined by my Nino, we took a half day fishing trip with the Sports fishing Charter the New Seaforth. This was a half day trip that targeted Rockfish at depths of 600ft or more. Before this trip, we had never fished such depths and had no clue what we were getting into. Lucky the guys with the character took got good care of us. From the the guys who rented us pole to the one who sold us squid and a heavier weight of 20oz . Fishing with a heavier weight ment we get to the bottom fastest and will midigat line drift. The most surprising thing was how much work it took to reel a fish up from such depths. It would take some time up 7 minutes of continuous reeling. It was working but was well worth it . In the end, we caught a ton of fish and got to go home with great stories to tell and a big bag of great tasting fish . Mission success. Huge thanks to staff and Charter would strongly recommend !
