The Oakland A’s kick the San Francisco Giant’s butts big time, wasn’t even a match. Love Oakland A’S Teams always winning the World Series. The Oakland A’s the best team of the Bay Area”.

Throughout so much of this coverage-there's such a pro-San Francisco tilt to the broadcast-forgetting that Oakland's just across the Bay going through the same thing.

My Giants didn’t stand a chance against Mr. Dave Stewart. This game was over early.

Oakland threw out there two stud pitchers to take Games 1 and 2. Then the earthquake hit and they rested up to be back in Games 3 and 4. Back when God loved the A's.

It’s too bad Stevie Wonder pulled out for the National Anthem. He probably just had a scheduling conflict due to the earthquake. These games in San Fran were so different from the games in Oakland. It was 10-1, combined, there. Here, it was 22-13. I think this particular game set a new record for HRs in a WS game, right?

That it did. Billy Bathe became a trivia question hitting the last one of the night. Hendu literally just missed hitting 3 that night.

@@billny33 Yes. I have three different channels. One is baseball, one is space, one is historic news. After TH-cam deleted my old channel, I learned to diversify. Three different channels, three different email addresses. That way, if one gets zapped, the other two remain.
They never justified why they deleted the old channel. I got an automated explanation: "Spam and scams." Which, of course, was ridiculous. I tweeted them, but they gave me no explanation other than they investigated and confirmed I'd done "spam and scams." I've no idea what that's supposed to mean.

Did you make the right call? Batter interfered with the catcher on his follow through of his swing. It’s called backswing interference. Batter is never out. If runner is out on initial throw he’s out. Ball is live and in play. If runner is safe he must return.

The Giants' mediocre pitching staff had no chance against the A's. You could beat those Oakland teams with good pitching (Hershiser in '88, Rijo in '90), and they tended to fold when things started to go against them, but if you threw mediocre pitching out there against them you were going to get your brains beat in the way San Francisco did in this series.

Al Michaeles demonstrating he was already one of the great announcers, Tim McCarver, quite a bit less. One cornball or irelevant observation after another, Jim Palmer appropriately a amn of few words.

McQuire hit .231 in 1989. He was never a hitter.

The TRUTH is that Mark McGwire remains to this day one of the greatest overall hitters ever produced by state of California- among the likes of Barry Bonds and Ted Williams.
