My idea of “high heels” is a 2 to 2.5 inch block heel. I never could wear high ones (defined as 3 inches or higher) and I haven’t seen a woman actually wear them here (San Francisco) for forty years, only in Insta photos. One of the very few good things to come out of the pandemic is that comfortable, lower-heel shoes are now much more widely available, cute ones, too!
Of all the bloggers I follow (quite a few) you are the most beautiful. And also as important, you are relatable, showing us fashion which is affordable.

Funny enough, same story with sambas here. I usually wear Vejas and was resenting to buy sambas, yet my daughter asked me to order purple ones for her.... and since I was ordering ones for her I decided to get a pair for me too 😂 jumped on the wagon too 👍

I love my two pairs of Sambas. They are sleek, look great on my size nine foot and are very comfortable. I don’t care if people like them or not.

For me Zara has the best and most comfy flat slide sandals. I have the black ones you mentioned and also in other different colours. They are amazing and fit so well 👌🫶

Funny, the opposite happened with me regarding the Sambas. When I first saw them when they first came out (last year??), I wanted them but wanted to wait to see if they'd go on sale. Since then, every other person has them, and because of their extreme popularity, I'm turned off of them.

Nice spring shoe review, thanks. We’re already wearing only open shoes like sandals here in California, the temps have been in the 90s-100sF and up! I wear a lot of white and light neutrals and colors, so light-colored shoes are a great option. Even bright white ones work well with my wardrobe, as well as nude and ivory/cream. I love the 60s-70s retro look of white leather sandals, and brilliant white is the Pantone light neutral of the year, replacing last year’s ivory, but of course, it depends on the outfit and personal preference. I was a girl/teen in those decades and that’s what all the cool university gals wore! I still have a soft spot for 70s looks, especially, like wide-leg or flared jeans with a blazer or similar jacket. A turtleneck is the coolest look with this classic outfit, but of course, not for this time of year. Our high temps will be in the 80s-90s, at least, until November or so (San Francisco Bay Area), so I’m wearing clothes from only my summer linen capsule.❤
Ugh don’t make us Northern Europeans jealous 😂 We are still waiting for spring to push through properly and in the meantime it’s already June and spring is already almost over 😭 Even summers over here are unpredictable as f#. Could be hot and humid as hell but also be raining days in a row (like what happened a lot this spring)
I was completely against getting Sambas. And I’m not a trend follower unless I really like what’s trending. I jumped on the Sambas bandwagon as they looked so good on everyone. And I actually loved them once I put them on. The other one you couldn’t think of are the Gazelles which now I want one of those 😩
Also, I love how you’re an influencer getting influenced (with the sambas and ballet flats). You’re one of us now 😂

I agree with you on wearing lower heels. Do you have suggestions for a tan pair of wedges that is lower platform but still stylish for evening?

Sandals without a back strap are very bad for the feet, I prefer gladiator-style sandals, timeless and beautiful, the ones you showed are trendy but really, my grandad's slippers were classier, these are really awful, sorry! You are an elegant lady but I find your style the same as that of so many others influencers. I wish you added an original twist to your outfits, I have seen similar ones on so many other channels, a bit more originality please and less blandness. I like simple chic but not bland. Add a scarf or other accessory to make your outfit unique. But then I see that your home is a similar style, bland. Your baby will soon get to work on all those white clothes, sofas and chairs! Please don't be offended, I really don't mean to put you down, you are a charming beautiful lady but I don't see much of your personality in your outfits or surroundings, they seem a bit cliche.
