- This is a quick review of the new UV glue that is becoming very popular with modellers across the globe. An extremely helpful item to have on your workbench, massive thumbs up from me :)
This was first aired in May's News Show.....
We've been using UV cure resins in aerospace manufacturing and repair for a over a decade. It is now widely used in "finger nail" sculpting. A much cheaper source would be the "UV cure nail enamels". The small UV lamps used in nail shops are also cheaper. You'll love this working with it...it has so many applications!
+Rick Barton Do such nail enamels cure to a hard material? I imagine that they have to be easy to take off later.
Good to see this tool/material moreso available to the everyday public retail & not being charged crazy money in the process. There are many industries that have used this UV curing 'technology' for a couple of decades or so, the Dental industry is a common one that immediately springs to mind as far as laminate solutions that coat & create protective films on organic & synthetic substrates or the acrylic polymer based putties (white fillings anyone?). Nice one, thanks for showing!
Cheers for the info :)
What is the consistency of the cured glue? Is it stiff and brittle or has it a little bit of flexibility to it?
Interesting stuff! :)
Absolutely amazing!!!!

Seems like it would be a great replacement for CA. More work time to get parts into place and no risk of gluing yourself to something.
Only problem with is that you can't get the light under any parts you want to glue. It works for canopies as they're clear....
I need something like this for a tea kettle handle and I wonder about heat-
What sorcery is this?! I want!
