I love my C24-1. I want to get more parts for it all ready. I messed with the shock springs and added a foam block under truck bed to give it a lift in back. Thing climbs anything stock not sure why people complain about tires. I think they are awesome. So in Love with WPL Rc's.... Thank You....
Ty so much for this video, I've been getting so frustrated trying to solder my capacitors to my dynamite 280 motor but the solder isn't sticking to the motor body. I didn't know I had to scratch the motor body , it makes total sense to me now. So I'm going to go do this on my motor and I'm sure it will work now ty for the video

i have a question. i recently got a 370 motor for my wpl d12. does it need the capacitors and why does it hesitate when reversing but is ok going forward both speeds. (no cap installed) at first i thought it was the drive system so i took it apart and made sure there was no binding. same thing happened. tried the motor without gearbox attached, same thing. what do i do to fix it?

Howdy! I have an old New Bright cheap RC boat I got when i was a kid that I am trying to make work again. Currently im trying to put in a new steering servo. Do you have any general tips that might help me in this process? Im pretty new to the electronics.
It works. Just did it. I had the petrol version and it was cutting out every 2 seconds or so. Now it's perfect. By the way I had the diesel version before and the sound was good without any capacitors on the motor.

Good tip, there is a difference in the noise after the mod?. It´s the same that ground the motor box and two capacitors in parallel.
To be clear, the difference in in electrical noise i.e. EMI (electro-magnetic interference), not audio noise.
The developer of this board recommends this method and yes it works

do i need to do this if im upgrading to res v3 without installing the speaker? i have 370 for my d12 and want the resv3 for the extra power to the 370 that the original board cannot supply. but i wont be installing the speaker that comes with it
then you dont need to install the caps. these caps is to solve the interference to the sound of RES-V3 :-)
I installed RES-V3 to 370 motor on the D12. no issue

Hello, im upgrade my mn45 motor to 370, i wanna ask do i need to change the esc too? Because after upgrade, the motor not running some time, i have to wait a few seconds to continue running. Is it the esc problem?
ya the 370 motor pulls more current. you need a higher amp output esc

there is a red dot mark.. if you prefer to put red wire on red dot side then direct grounded should be on negative side and 2nd capacitor on the +ve side.. else, as tasosx said, doesnt matter
The red point marked terminal is the positive?

You said to your othrer video that thers no need to put capacitor if your using wpl 370 motor on RES V3 controller so I assemble it without the capacitor.It is hard to disassemble again to put this capacitor. I want to know if there will be a problem without the capacitor atouched to the motor?
You only need to put 370 caps if you have cutting out issue with the sound. If no issue then don't need to do anything

I thought the caps were only needed with "older" radio gear. Thought the 2.4 gig radios made interferance from motors long gone?
Not radio interference. This is about the electrical noise from the motor interfering with the simulated engine sound

in fact most of the time this is not needed too even with speaker attached. there are just rare cases of sound issue

I have a MN99s with a 370 motor and single speed gearbox. Sometimes the motor cuts out completely and have to reverse and will be able to go forward again. Happing when motor is a little under load. Would this fix this? @EdwardRC Car
No. This is not related. Either you try a different esc or motor to check which is the issue.
@@EdwardChew you were right. Essentially what was happening is as soon as the motor was under load (throttle) it would cut the power, and would have to reverse and then go forward again.
I replaced it with another 370 single speed gearbox module and it works wonders now. Could’ve just been a defect in the first motor

the grounding to the body mentioned earlier is grounding from the motor body to chassis frame, not from the motor terminals

@Dear Edward, thanks for the Video very informative but can u recommend a suitable capacitance value of the capacitor for noise reduction on a 24v/ 36v 775 motor? Can I use a 100uf 50v or 1000uf ceramic capacitor? Can I assume higher capacitance 1000uf come with better filtering on noise reduction of 775 DC motor?
you can only use ceramic capacitor in this case.
Those capacitors you mentioned have polarity. but your motor doesn't work one way only
