She is a fifth generation member of a bonsai family. Bonsai was traditionally a male hobby and it still is. She wants to create a new style of bonsai that is more femine and more about small quite plants than about very old large trees. She calls it saika.
Her father Tomio is one of the most respected bonsai masters in Japan. She herself has a nice vision.
