A Plague Tale Requiem is a masterpiece. Coming from someone who loved the first game so much, they improved almost everything in the sequel. The story, the characters, the combat, the visuals, the pacing and the voice-acting. Not to mention the ending was gut-wrenching. Amicia and Hugo are, hands down, the best depiction of a sibling relationship of all time in video games.
@@gurnish9741 It is the case in most of the world. Because young boys when they grow up usually suddenly get a much deeper voice, so it is easier to have a woman do a kid's voice from the beginning.
I hope Charlotte will be considered for some awards for this. Especially in the later chapters she really makes Amicia's going through this hell very believable. There is a moment from one of the souvenirs late in the game, when Amicia has a short breakdown while being alone for a moment .. that was just so powerful and really got to me.
it was the last souvenir of the game, called ‘mess’ and was alone whilst lucas was tryna help hugo start speaking to them as he was just dormant. loved every moment of that, the ending aswell made requiem one of if not the only game where your stuck on the main menu after credits unable to speak or think after the experience
I just want to say thank you for a wonderful experience with this world and these siblings I lost my sister a while back and this makes me feel closer to her
I got to admit, this voice actress does an amazing job in a Plague Tale. She really sells the character extremely well. And the boy actor just speaks so well and he makes you feel for the character. Overall, an amazing set of voice talent ALL around. Also, I bought the first game because it was different & seemed intriguing. And I loved it. Looking forward to this sequel, I just wish I could afford a PS5 or series X.
I have an older Xbox One S so Game Pass told me I couldn’t install this game. I played it over Cloud Gaming with a network cable from my modem to my Xbox. I think it crashed maybe 3 times in total? All in all worked really well and very content I got to experience this sequel.

God of War is basically the same type of game just with different gameplay mechanics. It has a story, it has great graphics, and like God of War it is VERY CINEMATIC. I highly doubt any of the voice actors can top the performances done in this game. God of War will probably win game of the Year, but mostly because of politics. But the GAME that is most deserving this year is ELDEN RING, hands down. Now that's a REAL game.
Finished this masterpiece an hour ago. Still getting chills all over. The voice cast is absolutely insane from Lucas to Sophia and Arnaud... and ESPECIALLY Charlotte McBurney and Logan Hannan as Amicia and Hugo.

Charlotte as Amicia is one of the best voice acting performances I have ever heard. Gut-wrenching, raw emotions. I felt everything they wanted us to feel.

This game causes clinical depression on purpose, idk what the devs were thinking. Forgetting with time will help, or if you reapproach with some distance (seeing as it is: a video game - for example, watching Charlotte playing the game, which btw worth it in itself), but then again, what's the purpose if you forcefully deprive yourself from the immersion? Most people are blinded by the otherwise undisputably stellar performance in every aspect, but I'm with the 0.1% thinking the story is sick and screwed up. I still love Innocence though. My favourite game without breaking a sweat. A 20+ years gamer.
I like how she said that was one of her favorite parts to film because she got to scream as much as she wanted lol. Makes the deaths less horrible sounding when I think of her having fun lol.
Amazing. The ending was cripplingly sad, but the perfect (apparent) conclusion to Amicia and Hugo's journey through both games. Left me just sat there watching the credits roll feeling bloody empty. Sensational story and I'll always go back to both games to experience it again, if only for Amicia's character.

He could have left when things started getting rough but he stuck it out with them as much as he could. What a hero.
The Soundtrack of this game is just something else. It' starts off so calm, human and then it progressively gets more intense and emotional to the point where it suddenly plunges you into this epic wave of indescribable feelings, I immediately get goosebumps... This is art on another level, really. Thank you to everyone involved in this. Composer, musicians, sound engineers etc. and of course the Studio that provided a setting which the music/soundtrack can accompany.

This game has really moved me, I really loved Harry as Arnaud. Arnaud was a surprising favourite of mine. When Arnaud went through all of his character growth it made me really emotional. I got attached really quick. I love all the actors for this game, so beautiful and moving.

They left a huge opening for A Plague Tale 3. Hopefully, this one will be in Modern times given the ending and I would love to see how the Macula affects Modern Day society.
She did an amazing job! Amicia was such a refreshing character, and Charlotte's portrayal of her through her pain, anger and anguish shot right through the heart. She is currently one of my favorite fictional characters of all time.

This is no ordinary game, this is art at its finest, the music, the landscapes, the story, the voice acting, the mechanics of the game etc such an original concept and you just merge that together and you have a true work of art, this is by far the true game of the year. What a journey!

I am playing games about 20 years but it was first time when I cried at the end of requiem 😭😭😭 masterpiece. Loved Luca, hope they will gave him bigger part in the next game as young adult maybe 😊
Only recently watched a playthrough of Requiem on TH-cam and I gotta say, Amicia's voice actress blew me away. It was already great in Innocence, but the way she voiced Amicia's despair, pain and grief was so freaking immersive and felt incredibly real and grounded. Hugo's voice actor is also really good, especially for his young age, but Amicia's voice actress delivered the best performance I have heard since I played Baldur's Gate 3.

I have been a gamer since Atari 2600. So that is a long time. I have never played a better game than Requiem. It is a masterpiece in every single way. The characters, the acting, the graphics, the gameplay, the music and atmosphere. But best of all is the incredible story. It is truly a game that comes out once in maybe 10 years.

I love Beatrice's voice ! It's so soothing and everytime we see her in the game we feel immensely reassured and safe, just as how children would feel around a mother. Lucy did a great job, just as everyone in the cast !

I loved this game. no the the two games. the music, the acting, the atmosphere, the emotions and so much more is Perfect for this game. The first story game that made me cry. I LOVED IT
to be honest, all of them did a splendid job in voice acting, and speaking of the game, its one of the master pieces that will be remembered for many years to come, attention to details and story is extra-ordinary.
VAs did really great job! Especially at the parts when Amicia got cornered by tides of soldiers then fought back relentless with unstoppable rage just like Kratos.
So I just finished this and I’m actually sad now. The game was so emotionally gripping that I started tearing up at the end. Fuck this is probably the best fucking story I’ve ever experienced in a game in my entire life. Thank you for this wonderful experience asobo studios and everybody else involved.

Plague tale requiem voice acting makes 95% of the story. Your performance has been amazing... I've cryed a lot at the ending, and the scene right after.
This team is to be congratulated, amazing game and amazing story the characters have charisma and personality. The soundtrack itself and very well done, the scenarios looks like a real dream so beautiful.
The best games make you feel something for its characters. For me, this hasn't happened often. These games are amazing. I loved innocence, and requiem is even better in every way. The end is pretty emotional and beautiful. Amicia and Hugo's voice actors deserve recognition for their amazing performances.
This is what happens when good game development, directing, writing, and casting converge; you get an excellent game like Plague Tale -- both Innocence and Requiem were fantastic --- Requiem really leveled up by clearly showing us how they learned from the first installment. At first, I couldn't handle Hugo's character, but as the game's world got darker, his bright little voice and innocence was noticed and welcomed and I found myself growing more fond of him. I truly hope they make a third installment as I think there is still an incredible amount more they can do with the gameplay aspect as they completely nailed the story telling aspect and there's a lot of material to go on to build the world and lore. Big congrats and thank you to all those that made the series!

The first game was good. The sequel is truly one of the greatest games ever made and I've been playing since the mid 80's! Thank you so much to everyone involved in the creation of both games
I just beat chapter 6 to the ending and man let me tell ya, it was perfect. The characters, world, gameplay all feel improved over the original. Without spoiling anything, by the ending I was almost about to cry. Elden Ring was incredible but this may or may not be my goty for 2022.

Except for the fact that this is game is so unoptimized on the PS5... It runs like shit with huge framerate drops... Not good enough.

One thing that’s unbelievable for me is the scream Alicia makes when she got eaten by the rats. Truly immersive!

i didnt know the production and effort to bring this game together was so extensive but it makes sense the visuals art and music is amazing

She did an amazing job! Amicia was such a refreshing character, and Charlotte's portrayal of her through her pain, anger and anguish shot right through the heart. She is currently one of my favorite fictional characters of all time.

I like how Charlotte matured along with Amicia since A Plague Tale: Innocence. You can say she grew up with her character.

Such an incredible game! Congratulations to all that have worked on this masterpiece. It was emotional 😭 I felt like it was an allegory for cancer in children. You desperately try to find cures and do anything for your little loved one. I was on the verge of tears at the very end.

This is no ordinary game, this is art at its finest, the music, the landscapes, the story, the voice acting, the mechanics of the game etc such an original concept and you just merge that together and you have a true work of art, this is by far the true game of the year. What a journey!

I am playing games about 20 years but it was first time when I cried at the end of requiem 😭😭😭 masterpiece. Loved Luca, hope they will gave him bigger part in the next game as young adult maybe 😊

Only recently watched a playthrough of Requiem on TH-cam and I gotta say, Amicia's voice actress blew me away. It was already great in Innocence, but the way she voiced Amicia's despair, pain and grief was so freaking immersive and felt incredibly real and grounded. Hugo's voice actor is also really good, especially for his young age, but Amicia's voice actress delivered the best performance I have heard since I played Baldur's Gate 3.

I have been a gamer since Atari 2600. So that is a long time. I have never played a better game than Requiem. It is a masterpiece in every single way. The characters, the acting, the graphics, the gameplay, the music and atmosphere. But best of all is the incredible story. It is truly a game that comes out once in maybe 10 years.

I love Beatrice's voice ! It's so soothing and everytime we see her in the game we feel immensely reassured and safe, just as how children would feel around a mother. Lucy did a great job, just as everyone in the cast !

VAs did really great job! Especially at the parts when Amicia got cornered by tides of soldiers then fought back relentless with unstoppable rage just like Kratos.

Plague tale requiem voice acting makes 95% of the story. Your performance has been amazing... I've cryed a lot at the ending, and the scene right after.

The best games make you feel something for its characters. For me, this hasn't happened often. These games are amazing. I loved innocence, and requiem is even better in every way. The end is pretty emotional and beautiful. Amicia and Hugo's voice actors deserve recognition for their amazing performances.
This is what happens when good game development, directing, writing, and casting converge; you get an excellent game like Plague Tale -- both Innocence and Requiem were fantastic --- Requiem really leveled up by clearly showing us how they learned from the first installment. At first, I couldn't handle Hugo's character, but as the game's world got darker, his bright little voice and innocence was noticed and welcomed and I found myself growing more fond of him.
I truly hope they make a third installment as I think there is still an incredible amount more they can do with the gameplay aspect as they completely nailed the story telling aspect and there's a lot of material to go on to build the world and lore. Big congrats and thank you to all those that made the series!

I just beat chapter 6 to the ending and man let me tell ya, it was perfect. The characters, world, gameplay all feel improved over the original. Without spoiling anything, by the ending I was almost about to cry. Elden Ring was incredible but this may or may not be my goty for 2022.
