Star Citizen isn’t a game though, it’s a marketplace for idiots to buy digital assets for real money so they can lose it all when the servers shut down. At least when SWG went down nobody lost 10k ships. Can’t wait to see the day c;
i am not sure people are idiots for spending money on something its a free world, and 50 bucks for hours of fun seems fare, i did that on swg for years. i have been playing star citizen since yesterday on there free fly thingy and from what i have seem its amazing i think well worth 50 bucks i dont think ill spend any more but i am having a blast and its all thanks to this video :)
Dude I love SWG, it was my first MMO but you're wrong, Even with the few private servers out there SWG STILL to this day has the very same bugs it always had, for example if you have someone in the copilot seat when you land at Avatar Platform that person spawns in the bottom of the map that bug is older then my niece. It could vote, that bug could fight in a war and die.
I love this tribute style video to a game I loved for many many years. I always compare any game to SWG. Because it was the pinnacle of a sand box game.
There are several private servers that are live now if you're interested in playing the game again. There is a server from about every era there was. I highly recommend legends.
i am a little confused Star Wars Galaxies is a dead game it closed its servers over 10 years ago, and star citizen is not even a game. what are you comparing Star Wars Galaxies to what has been and what could be ? don't get me wrong i loved Star Wars Galaxies it was amazing i loved the crafting, but from what i have seen of star citizen it looks amazing and the stuff they are doing with ships and servers is insane and its not finished yet mind blowing, i have heard it may never finish lol and in that way i think Star Wars Galaxies defo wins :P if your saying they are similar games i may have to get star citizen because i do miss Star Wars Galaxies.
Private servers still have the game alive at different eras of its development. I highly recommend swg legends if your looking to get back into the game. Your not wrong SC does look amazing. The new water physics are kind of mind blowing. If it all ever gets ironed out functionality wise, it will be an amazing game.
Yup but you're comparing an alpha game with features that are going to be there when it's released to an old game that was released years ago i'm not sure what you're trying to do here ?
I mean SC has been in dev so long the kids born when it started will get their license in two years. I think its had enough time to bring something real to the table.
