Logan liked the Tom's move to fall for the Cruises in the previous episode. Something that Kendall did not. That's why while confused he called him son. This was what a son would have done in his mind.

Two old men making big decisions for the future of their company. Sounds familiar lmao. LOL the bit about interrupting women while saying they care about women was such a funny detail, this episode was priceless. Karl's "It'll be great if we could get the body up there" is one of my favorite lines.

It's interesting the names Logan calls out while delirious. They are probably unintentional, but also quite significant to me.
Tom = "son" the ideal servile subject who chose to take the fall for Logan, which his own sons refused
Shiv = "Marcia" a woman he genuinely loves but doesn't respect her with the business, shuts her out of important decisions
Kendall = "Frank" probably one of the closest people to him ever, but also his whipping post and the scapegoat. Also known for betraying him often. Someone Logan doesn't trust, who is weirdly dear to him.
I wish they did like a prequel series where we could see the prime whirlwind of Logan Roy that everyone talks about. Where he just always wins, everything, no matter what.

33:20 Logan, and all old people like him, are so fearful of fading into irrelevance that they will hold on to as much power as they can until their dying breath. It's not about making money (except in the sense of money being how people in that world keep score) -- it's about staying relevant to other people in positions of power.

Honestly, I don't get it. Of all the people, hating Connor the most is certainly a choice. He is not the smartest, yes. But he is actually the closest to a normal fucking human being. He enjoys his riches, doesn't look for his Dad's approval all the time, and is in a way better relationship than the others. Yes, Willa is in it for the money but so is Tom or any one of Roman's girls but as we have seen she actually cares.
@@slipperybone Are we discounting how he acted in ep 4 of season 1, the way he treated the workers, or the guy who was about to go and perform? Didn't he also talk about the idea of hoarding water if it starts to become finite? Connor is charming and funny as hell and I love him more than the siblings, but the reasons others would not are fair. The other siblings are more self aware and arguably closer "normal human beings" than most people would like to admit

I just meant that of all the siblings, Connor is the one who has done the least damage to anyone and was actually a good elder brother to the 3 growing up. The Normies completely looked past when Roman shared his only good childhood memory being with Connor.
You don't have to like him. You can hate him all you want. But to say he is the worst of the four is just wrong as far as I have watched and understood the show.

You guys really should react to some of Kurosawa’s works, like the 7 samurai. Though it’s a bit long, and it might not be everybody’s cup of tea, but it is worth getting into.

You should definitely check out society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that. If you do watch it I recommend the original language with subtitles, ,the acting was amazing.

Logan is a shark. He has to keep moving and doing what he does or he's dead. No vacations, no retirement, nothing else. His kids seem to never had a mom around to protect/support them, and here we are. As for their blind faith in him, something similar happened with me, my siblings, and our dad. He was driving and supposed to be going one place, but couldn't find his way (this was before GPS). My brother and sister saw he was in trouble, but I, the oldest, never stopped trusting him, until it got to a point where they convinced him to let them take over. It was a frightening, brutal, but unavoidable moment.

Ken wants to be front and center, he believes he’s Corporate Jesus, he’s doing the good thing the right thing but he also wants the validation and credit of being told he’s doing the right thing (Logan won’t give it to him).
The jury is out on whether Shiv made a good deal, it’s essentially the deal that was offered at the start of the episode so they went around in circles and came to the same conclusion; Shiv had a personal victory in that the extra board seat will be for her so she’s now legitimately a part of the company (not just the made-up role) but Sandy and Sandi and Stewy weren’t too keen on a vote either so you never know maybe Logan could have won the vote. Is it ever possible to make a deal and both parties think they got the A side of the deal? or is there always a party who got the better end of the deal (losing end is basically having to compromise).
I always wondered why the shareholders would choose Stewy and Sandy if Sandy is near paralyzed and they have no clear CEO or business plan.
