As someone who gets so much dill from Santal 33 and similar sandalwoods, I appreciate this video! Also a big lover of This is Her! I wore it alot immediately post partum and it reminds me of that time!
I’ve had sandalwood journey and till today I’m in love with Santal Blush from Tom Ford and Lutens Santal Majuscule (both older bottles, haven’t tried new ones). Lumiere Blanche is my ‘safe and cozy space’ and can’t be without it; also agree with Nothing but Sea & Sky. Some of the others are Chloe Santalum, Kilian Sacred Wood, Diptyque Tam Dao (edt), Atelier Materi Santal Blond. I love sandalwood oil, the one used in temples. Whenever I have a chance I get it from India. It helped me a lot when I needed grounding, just a drop or two. It really is a sacred wood. Now I’m in hunt with good palo santo, no luck with this one. If anyone have suggestion - grateful will I be. Like master Yoda. 😅
Hi Yana. Funny, Santal 33 was my oldest daughter's favorite, until everyone started using it. Now she's over it. Bois sounds incredible. Commodity makes great scents. This is Her sounds beautiful. You mentioned gourmand. I have the Santal Majuscule. It's a bit overpowering for me, but I like the way it smells on my husband more. Thanks Yana! ❤❤
Santal Majuscule has always been an addictive scent for me. I'm like those disney characters floating on wafts from a pie on the window sill. 🌫😶🌫 Remember those? 😂 Incidentally, I recently found my decant of Sandalo from Acqua di Parma and reaffirmed my approval of that scent. Falls right in with Geo F. Trumper's Sandalwood Cologne which is still a gentleman's staple. Might be something to look into for the hubby if he's into the old timey vibe.
I still love FDB Santal Complet! I just received a decant of Piano Santal by L'orchestre Parfums and that's beautiful too. Sandalwood is tricky on me, but those are the ones that I know I love.
Henry Rose Queens and Monsters is my favorite sandalwood fragrance. The zesty opening of petigrain mixed with a creamy sandalwood and coco musk is intoxicating. I specifically get compliments from men when I wear this. Hidden gem at Sephora for sure.
@@TheScented I’d love to hear your thought some day. I’ve had my bottle for a few years and the juice has darkened and it’s so strong (in a good way). Now that Sephora carries it I won’t have to savor every last drop!
Been wanting to try Nothing But Sea and Sky! Do you still wear Piano Santal? I got a decant of it from your decant shop and it’s nice but I never understood what people were smelling when they said they would get dill in sandalwood fragrances until I tried that one. I’ve really been on a Chanel kick - would love to see the Les Exclusif line in your shop. I want so bad to sample Coromandel
Santal dan sha and Santal Blond are my sandalwood + cardamom choices. Also I will add Santal Austral, Santal Blanc, Santal Vanille and Piano Santal (they are not that original with the names😅)
Thank you! I can't stand the dill! It's not even a "my chemistry" thing. An acquaintance was surprised when we met up and I immediately asked if she was wearing it.
Serge Lutens *Santal Majuscule, TF *Santal Blush and VC&A *Santal Blanc. Also lately..Salt&Stone *Santal Vetiver and The Maker *Lover. I also cannot stand Santal33 it makes me sick.
I like hearing your husband’s opinions because my partner doesn’t like sandalwood either. I love Santal Majascule and my boyfriend never complains when I wear it. But when I wear one spray of Tam Dao EDT my boyfriend throws his hands up and asks what smells like diapers.
0:03 I don't think it is our skin. It is just Santal 33. It smells like dill pickles on me, and everyone I have smelled it. I have sandalwood incense sticks; it smells sweet, powdery, woody, creamy, soft, and floral. It made me think of Chanel. And that's how I thought Santal 33.... Was I wrong, it almost put me away from sandalwood forever. The good sandalwood it's very Chanel like.... Like Blu de Chanel, Platinum Egoiste, PDM Percival, and A&F Fierce.... smells sweet, powdery, woody, creamy, soft, and floral. And the affordable identical sandalwood profiles.... Afnan 9 AM Deep Dive, and Kaaf by Ahmed Al Maghribi. Santal 33..... Disgusting dill pickle juice.
Santal Wood is not my favourite note… but I really like Samsara by Guerlain 🤍 (eau de parfum). If you know this fragrance, what do you think about it ? 😊

@katarinasurac3695 Cannot beat a pure sandalwood oil.
I prefer a good EO of Mysore Sandalwood from Nature's Gift or Santalum from House of Nocturne Alchemy or Arabesque EDP or oil from Alkemia.
Ooh, I love sandalwood. I think the sandlewood in victoria 's Secret Bare is good.
Santal Complet, Diptyque Tam Dao, Santal Majascule are all favorites.

I love basically two sandalwood dominant fragrances. Guerlain Samsara EdT and Granado Époque Tropical
I have Milk+ and Book+ from Commodity. 🌹
yeah for Santal Majuscule - also have it in my collection
Kayali silk santal 😍 haven’t really explored other scents with sandalwood but love that one

Two of my most favs are Milky Musc by Parle-moi-de-parfum and Santal Calling by Ex Nihilo 🥰
But Santal Majuscule is also really beautiful.

I just got my hands on it 🥰 but haven't had a chance to wear it yet

Thank You! I've been wanting to add a Sandalwood scent to my collection but I too have experienced the dill effect. ❤

Samsara from Guerlain for me and Peau Santal from Miller Harris.
Sandalo by aqua di parma is a lovely smooth sandlewood
Santal dan sha and Santal Blond are my sandalwood + cardamom choices. Also I will add Santal Austral, Santal Blanc, Santal Vanille and Piano Santal (they are not that original with the names😅)
Thank you for this video. Was wondering if you already did review of peachy fragrances? Looking for one to fill scent memory.
As always, you look beautiful!! ❤

Bahahaha same girl same on Santal 33.
Nothing but Sea and Sky is gorgeous, I have to stop myself from grabbing that every day. Makes me happy ❤
One I would like to sample is Affinessence Santal - Basmati. Anyone here tried it?
Does anyone get the alcohol smell in zadig this is her?

Hahah. I came here bc I came here NOT to see Santal 33. 😂
You came to the right place 😆
