I have a 2017 sport 2.4 and it's ok. Gets you from point to point b, but it really sucks on gas. I get an average of 20 mpg with mostly city, but still, it's bad since my older jeep with a v6, 4x4 and big tires got me 15 bit with a lot more power and those 5 miles I gained don't justify the power. No problems, so it's reliable, but I would rather get a SUV or crossover.
Hüseyin Avni Şahin my 2015 Optima has the 2.0t and it has 274 hp and 269 tq I’ve beaten a lot of cars that I wasn’t expecting the 2.0t is more refined and quieter that that harsh 2.4
Trey Bae Yeah because all of them are used for people's test drive TH-cam channels... Just get it inspected and it's not all that risky. I got this same car with 35k miles on it for 12,000. For that value I'll take my chances!
I know this comment is old, but I had mine for 7 years just got rid of it, and wish I never got rid of it. It was an amazing car. I never had a single issue with mine. I've owned 7 cars and this was by far the best one I owned
The Sonata really shines on the freeways. Good acceleration, handles tight but not the least bit harsh. Great road trip car for two or three adults.
now that's a manly review. all review. no talk.
Wonderful..grateful...beautiful..fantastic car....
GDI- Gasoline Direct Injektion?
I miss the venetian red color on the Sonata. It was a beautiful color, and far superior to the ugly red that replaced it.

get your car to the dealership, I have 2016 limited and it has 36/25/28 mpg (highway, city, combined).
Dude fr! I just got a 2017 Sonata 2.4 and cant seem to get better than 21.4 mpg... Smh i thought it would get better but still sucks!
this is madness without turbo
+Hüseyin Avni Şahin yes, and there is 2.0T too, with over 240 HP
+TEST DRIVE FREAK but less tork than others isnt it

What's the top Engine option for the 2016 Sonata Sport?
2.0 T
Is the engine of the car very quiet
Speed limited to 115 mph/185 km/h. A lot of American and American specification cars are equipped with a speed limiter.
austprodriver I just rented one 2016 and I was shocked when the sucker hit 130 mph.
Sonata sports is good.
why you shouldn't buy a rental car

What I'm hearing, it's like this car doesn't have a quiet engine
