I tried a Wired Prototype with the speed based sensor and it sucked and was downright dangerous. On the underpowered Himiway, it’s fine, on a 3200 watt bike that goes 42mph, it’s a rocket launching you to the set speed, really scary. The constant power is much more natural. After I tried it, I told Steve it sucked and he should switch to the power based.
Speed based systems feel like the bike takes you for a ride instead of you taking the bike for a ride. It’s so hard to ride them like a bicycle, might as well just use throttle instead of trying to pedal and stop every few rotations or constantly lower pedal assist level to prevent shooting to to whatever speed it’s set to. Your preference and thinking is so backwards to mine.
I have a Aventon Aventure and a Magicycle Ocelot Pro. I definitely like my Aventon more because it’s built better and has 8 gears so there is less ghost peddling. Looking at getting another ebike not decided on a Wired or ECells. Both have 52T chainrings how’s the ghost peddling on your Wired Cruiser
I love your video and how you explain everything so well. Don't take this wrong, but I noticed you and many other e-bike videos including Citizen Cycle seems to always run through the stop signs with out stopping. Is this state specific that it legal to do this. I am in Texas and I understand our laws that say bicycles have to follow the same rules as cars. Please don't think I am saying anything bad about it, I am just really wondering what the actual rules are elsewhere. Thanks.
It's illegal. Bicyclists are subject to the same laws as any other vehicle on the road. That includes lane splitting. But people will do whatever they want and if they don't ever get caught, good for them. But it will have a long term influence on regulation and regulation is coming.
You might be surprised to learn that citizen cycle makes $300 for each wired E bike sold using his affiliate link. That’s why you’ll never hear an honest opinion out of the dude. At least not regarding any wired e-bike! You’ll also never see him mentioning e-cells, even though they make the superior bike, and e-cells is ran by much better people too! He won’t even gaslight you or flip out on you if you unfortunately need to return one of his bikes!
E cells is literally run by a former mobile home salesman who spent 12 years in prison and started e cells while on parole. He blatantly copied Wired and has been trolling and slandering Wired like a scum bag. E cells has a F rating from the BBB. Wired has 1000 more watts, is 5mph faster and has a tru axle fork and is much less $$$.
Love the white spokes!
Great video....nice to know wired comes with visco 70 installed
My derailleur was also bent in shipping, as was my 2023 Freedom. That makes 5 that I know of. Wired really needs to protect it better.
love these kinds of vids they just so chill and relaxed specially wit e bikes 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Glad you got your cruiser . Mine was to be delivered yesterday but was delayed due to weather. Lol. Monday is now the day. Be safe.
Dam that sucks your going to love it though
That Citizen Cycle kit will be insane.

Ok well that's good to know i guess it would take alot more tuning to fix it like i want like i said its not bad i can always grab the throttle
Yep I prefer the power based assist on this bike. Also I set the throttle to follow the assist setting rather than always having full power on tap.
@@stevenpeavler959 how did you set throttle to follow assist? thanks
Awesome video dude

Are you in a hurry? You can't take the time to accelerate? You want instant response?
Not in a hurry i just wanted it to be like my himmway i can always grab the throttle
@@Ebikepowerlevel5 Got it. Thanks.
I cant make my cruiser wobble at any speed
Not to pick you, but it's "pedal assist".
Educate yourself and learn more about the bike... all those things you are talking about are adjustable
@Silverado2021 well please with your wisdom tell me how to adjust the twitch of the throttle
