This is speed metal type for that song. You can hear they're playing a trashy stuff from "Break The Wall" or "Thunder Vengeance" Nice reaction 🙏 I agree with you when you say "They're Iron Maiden (women version) 😂 Crack 🔥🔥🔥
LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics : Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood People live in fear, covered in mud Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for sisters There is a thousand, a thousand of evils Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for brothers Shining blade and burning heart Into the Gates of Hell we march Immortal soul, let there be light Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun We are one for all and all for one forevermore Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall Reincarnation, wait for your call Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for sisters Morning star and dying moon Into the Gates of Hell we march Mighty soul, let there be hope Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight? These are more metal lyrics than some bands can write and this song was a team effort. Lyrics: Lovebites. Music: Mao. Arrangement: Mao, Lovebites. Most songs are written with following teams: Lyrics: Asami. Music: Miyako. Arrangement: Lovebites, Miyako Lyrics: Miho. Music: Miho, Mao. Arrangement: Mao, Lovebites. Miyako Guitars and Piano Former bands: 21 Grams (sometimes 21g), A Drop of Joker Miho, Founder and Bass and Haruna, Drums: Former band: Destrose (already listed in comments) Midori Guitars: Former Band: Gekijo Metalicche Asami: Vocals Former gigs: Backup singer (uncredited) for Vamps and Uverworld Mao was in a band called Light Bringer (2005-2014) playing keyboards. For Lovebites he is their programmer and does some keyboards.
Another great reaction! These ladies are really dynamic. What you would you want to hear next? More power metal?.....Raise some Hell, We the United. Some thrash metal?....Break the Wall, Thunder Vengeance. Power Ballad?....Empty Daydream, Epilogue (both of which Miyako, guitarist house right, showcases her concert piano skills). I'm just throwing out random ones that pop into my head. You'll get a lot of suggestions. You mentioned Iron Maiden. They list Iron Maiden as one of their main influences. It's certainly there! Asami is a female Bruce Dickinson if I ever heard one!
great reaction and review, both are lead guitarist.. best duo after Judas Priest and Dragonforce their music was inspired from 80's heavy metal band(Iron Maiden, Helloween, Judas Priest, etc.) Miyako the black haired guitarist also play piano, check out their song called : Edge Of The World a little info, their album was mastered/mixing by the people who worked on Nightwish and Stratovarius
The members of Lovebites make it seem so effortless is because they are all such awesomely talented musicians as well as sophistictaed, well-educated women. It interesting to note that Chels didn't notice that, at the same time as looking like supermodels on the catwalk, all Lovebites' members,(except Haruna the drummer), performed a full 90 minute plus gig, playing their instruments, moving around the stage, headbanging and changing the pedals on their effects boards while wearing four inch high heels and do not even break sweat. They are definitely the real deal.
Well you just got your 1st dose of the LIVE FLAWLESS machine known as LOVEBITES. Insanely talented women who took all the glory of 80's metal (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, etc.) and elevated to a whole new level with a bluesy vocalist who sings in English. Haruna/drums and Miho/bass started this band after their Destrose days to have a more European metal sound. Then added the most dynamic duo of Midori/ESP and Miyako/Dean to the mix and finally Asami as the vocalist. 1st all female Japanese metal band to play Wacken and Bloodstock (those videos suffer from poor audio not the bands performance). Only been around from 2016 but already have made a hugh impact on the metal scene. Toured with Dragon Force and their LIVE show in Tokyo 2019 and 2020 are well worth your attention. They do Power, Thrash, Ballads and Classical piano (Miyako is a trained concert pianist and only started on the guitar at 18). Some more songs you might enjoy: Scream for Me LIVE (th-cam.com/video/9Og4gvSUmCo/w-d-xo.html) A taste of the Midori/Miyako duo in real flawless action. Raise Some Hell LIVE (th-cam.com/video/Qm-3zhCFghg/w-d-xo.html) Empty Daydream LIVE (th-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/w-d-xo.html) Great piano intro by Miyako and Asami's vocals before the usual power blast. Lovebites once bitten you are a member of the WOLF-PACK!!!
They also do thrash really well if you're into Slayer, Metallica, they are big fans of those bands and also Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween. Break the Wall, Scream For Me, Thunder Vengeance, Hammer of Wrath try those next, all Live. Stay safe!
So you’ve been Lovebitten too. Welcomed to the awesome world of Lovebites. Lovebites is (mostly) a power metal band but they have influences from Metallica, Iron Maiden, Helloween, Slayer, Dragon Force, Gary Moore, Whitesnake, etc., and they’re developing their own style. I recommend their live performances; they really shine live, especially their latest concert earlier this year “Zepp Divercity, Tokyo 2020”. Other recommended live performances are “Daughters of the dawn”, “Battle in the east”, “Wacken”. Avoid “Bloodstuck” (bad audio). My song suggestions: “When destinies align”, “Hammer of wrath”, “Shadowmaker”, “Break the wall”, “Rising”, “Signs of deliverance”, “Swan song” (with classical piano), “Scream for me”, “Raise some hell”, “Under the red sky”, and a special mention to “Liar”, “Thunder vengeance” (mind blowing), “Dancing with the devil” (classic rock and bluesy vocals), “Empty daydream” (nice piano and vocals with catchy mid tempo), “Epilogue” (epic power ballad, great vocals, nice piano, scorching old school guitar solos) and “Edge of the world” (epic power ballad, nice vocals, nice guitar solos and song build up)
If you liked that I highly recommend you check out another Lovebites song called "Swan Song" (th-cam.com/video/QUGCQ1FTB0g/w-d-xo.html), which is also a live video.
All of their music, is based on the Iron Maiden structure,, bass driven, feed off Twin guitar attack, operatic vocals and theatrical/fantastical themes and Narratives. Miho and Haruna, in interviews specifically chose to ground, the band in that, and then Spin-Off from Their, but Not Change the Essential Structure. This May Be Why Miho has left, as may be other band members want to make changes
Finally!, i knew you guys were going to love this band ,pure skills. Now go for their thrashy songs ,"the hammer of wrath" or "thunder vengeance". There's also a great video clip from the song"when destinies align" that includes an amazing solos duo.
Yes! Lovebites is fantastic! Badass all female metal band! ALL songs from this concert in Tokyo are fabulous!!! Lovely reactions! Subscribed. See you next!
I can't verify this, but seems like I read somewhere that when they got together for the first time, they jammed on a cover of that song and everything just clicked. They felt so much chemistry together, they decided to name the band after that song.
Yeah guys they've got that effect on you when you see them for first time. Thanks for your reaction to them and welcome to the Lovebites club. Now the band is formed 2016 in Tokyo from ex Destrose band members Miho the bassist and composer ( she is the band leader) and Haruna the drummer ( the best female power metal drummer in the world at the moment). The other members are Asami the vocalist and songwriter ( before to join the band she was R&b and jazz singer she also composing ) Midori the lead guitarist and backing vocals( with the blonde hair one of the fastest female guitarists in the world at the moment) and Miyako the other lead guitarist, pianist and composer ( the main composer of the band same like Midori one of the best guitarists in the world at the moment). Lovebites are the winners of 2018 in category for best new metal band. Their last album Electric pentagram is nominated for one of the best 20 metal albums for 2020 year. The band is influenced by 80s metal. Miho the bassist and band leader mentioned once in interview- we are here to make something memorable. They want to step closer to their inspiration bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Halloween, Metallica and Slayer. So now you can check the song Thunder vengeance from the same concert Five of kind in Zepp Diversity Tokyo from this year. Enjoy it.
You don't have to exaggerate about their prowess. It is very impressive, but it's simply a choice that they play fast progressive music. As for other artists, there are many that can play like this in Japan alone; What Sets Them apart, is the quality of the writing.Particularly, With the drumming, there are many petite incredible heavy rock drummers that can play like Haruna
I get the Iron Maiden feel from them also as well as Judas Priests on some of the other songs. It is great that new bands come out with new music the takes me back to my youth. Another thing I feel is Opera vocals meets Power Metal.
I read somewhere that their outfits, much like Band-Maid's, is part of an old Japanese tradition they call 'The Gap', the gap between the look and the VERY heavy sound. I would recommend Swan Song, We the United and Epilogue for more melodic stuff. The trashy stuff is recommended by others. We the united is fun because it's a 1-minute + dual guitar solo, ended with a high5...
The band themselves say something different. They say they wear the white because they are all small, and often play on dark stages, so the white helps them stand out and be easier to see. Nothing to do with "the gap".
Anything from the two Zepp City shows (2019 and 2020) are guaranteed to blow your faces off.... I watched one video of theirs three weeks ago. Now I’m totally hooked. I haven’t played anything else recently. As you saw, their talent is off the charts, and though it’s fast, it’s excruciatingly melodic. Miyako (the “this is easy” guitarist) and Miho (bassist) are both big Maiden fans I believe. Miyako also admires Gary Moore and “Epilogue” live is a must see if you like Gary.
I know.. they are beasts live but try the musicvideo When Destinies Align and put in the subtitles, It is a breathtaking video! BUT stay away from Bloodstock videos.. bad sound on those!
Good one and if you like this you may also like Unlucky Morpheus - Black Pentagram, also japanese but not straight power metal, but also mixed with a bit of melodic death metal, some symphonic aswell
Miho the bass player says Steve Harris and Nikki Sixx are influences on her. Midori the guitar player with the ESP is influenced by Yngwie Malmsteen. Miyako the guitar player with the Dean is influenced by Gary Moore.
Hello Mat and Chels, great reaction. Lovebites are really versatile in their music. They play all sorts of metal. You should check out this killer thrash song called "Thunder Vengeance". Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/yWE7PqCpGi4/w-d-xo.html
Wow..great reaction to this amazing ( Power.-Thrash.-Heavy.-)Metalband "Lovebites" ! I really enjoy it !!! Perhaps you´ll check out " Edge of the World" live2020 ! thank´s and stay save !
What is truly amazing is that the guitarists (Midori and Miyako) started playing guitars relatively late at 20 and 16. They both started on other instruments, and have studied music most of their lives.
Power Metal's never been my thing, I find most of it to be kind of cheesy and unintentionally Spinal Tap-ish, but Lovebites are my favourite metal band of all-time aside from Motorhead, who it could be argued aren't even really "metal", at least Lemmy made that argument throughout their entire existence and I tend to agree with him. I think it's because even when Lovebites play their more power metal-type songs, they're thrashed out quite a bit. They are influenced just as much by 80s NWOBHM and European power metal bands like Iron Maiden and Helloween as they are by 80s thrash like Slayer and early Metallica, and a lot of their songs are pure thrash, but even the more power metal-type songs, like this one, have more of a crunch to them than what I'm used to hearing from bands who play a similar style. Good call on Maiden, by the way. So many (mostly younger) reactors hear a track like this and go, "female Dragonforce", and I cringe every time I read that. Nothing against DragonForce, but they have that Spinal Tap vibe I was talking about that a lot of power metal gives me, and Lovebites don't have that, and would sound exactly like Lovebites even if DragonForce had never existed because they draw their inspiration mainly from classic 80s metal.
The entire structure of the group is based on maiden, no one else. Miho and Haruna, were quite specific about that, when recruiting a twin guitar attack, to feed off Miho's bass drive and then recruited Asami for Dickinsonesque operatic sound and then choose fantastical and theatrical themes with English lyrics. Taking this into thrash and power metal genres, was an afterthought, but it still keeps the essential Structured. If the influence of thrash were a fundamental element, they would Certainly not have recruited Asami, but would have gone for someone more versatile, like Mayu(Nemophila), who is certainly more suited for thrash vocals, whilst still being able to cover heavy metal and more melodious songs in general
I have to respectfully disagree with you on this. Well, part of this. In early Lovebites interviews, Miho was pretty explicit about the sound they were trying to achieve, which she described in one interview as "power metal with other old school elements", and in another as, "original heavy metal, thrash metal, and a little rock". She frequently cited (along with Maiden/Steve Harris) Helloween and Anthrax as huge influences, and said that what she thought set Lovebites apart from other bands was that, "more than any other female band, we're influenced by classic American and European heavy metal". So at least according to Miho, who had the original concept for what Lovebites was going to be, power metal and thrash were never afterthoughts, they were always just as important and prominent elements to their sound as NWOBHM. It's also noteworthy that when it came time to putting the idea into practice, Miho wrote their absolute thrashiest songs like The Hammer of Wrath, Break the Wall, and M.D.O like they were statements of intent. She also mentioned that she has always loved beautiful female vocals contrasted with heavy aggressive metal music, which helps explain why she chose Asami and not a more "growly" singer. But still, the Maiden influence is the dominant one, at least in their earlier work, and it's not Dragonforce, it's old school metal. I hope I wrote this without coming across like a dick...
@@satomiwa No, that's fair enough. if you were there, in the early years. All of the bandss you mentioned are great bands. But she clearly has a soft spot for maiden and goes on about them, all the time, in the interviews, even recently. Also, listening to a number of their tracks and the structure all seem to be maidenesque, even though, as you say, they pass into the Hard Rock and thrash. I guess I must listen to more of their stuff, if you say the following structure. Bass driven, twin guittar feed off, both harmonising with both guitars and one guitar supporting the others shredding, because fantastical more than real world themes, and opperatic vocal style. Lastly, I would add that is very interestinng in her most recent interview that she indicates how she is diffeerent from most artists in Japan, from the point of view that she values, the synergy of the instruments for a Superior listing experience, rather than seelf-indulgence in prioritising prrowes in individual instrruments, e.g.shredding, is overrated. Clearly she distinguishes between true talent being able to write consisttently great sounding material, rather than having to focus on technical expertise. The bottom-line is that most professional artists can easily replicate technicaally advvanced material that their peers have written, but this is not so much the case, vice versa. I think she may be implying. In this that other members may be trying to move the direction in a more exclusively progressive direction, which she is not interested in and may lead to them fading into obscurity, with a far smaller audience.
@@Rowlph8888 I read into that exactly like you did. "Between the lines", as they say. I don't know if she was hinting at that intentionally, but maybe subliminally she sort of revealed how she's feeling. Like maybe to her, Miyako's taking the band in a more progressive/symphonic direction that that she isn't feeling so much, perhaps a bit too far away from her vision of Lovebites, with maybe some of the other members and/or management taking sides. Or something. I do feel like in the whole Lovebites hiatus drama, Miho felt hurt, and that saddens me, since Lovebites is her baby. But I don't know, it's just a feeling, and I'm certainly not going to assume or hold anything against anyone based on a feeling.
Proud member of The Wolf Pack since 2017, so honored to have been there from the beginning with their 1st release Don't Bite The Dust that knocked me to the floor, have bought everything they've released. The are the best metal band that has come along in 30 years since Maiden/Priest. They range from speed, power to thrash metal and are glorious in every single song they've ever done.
Oh I love thrashy Lovebites /,,/ Miyako the guitar sexy Empress! Me too not much of a power metal guy but loved speedy/thrashy power metal like this, they're also like the female version of Galneryus not just Maiden.
Lovebites Diver City Tokyo 2020 ≪set list≫ 1 Thunder Vengeance 2 Raise Some Hell 3 Break The Wall 4 Shadowmaker 5 Holy War 6 Addicted 7 Don't Bite The Dust 8 Rising 9 Swan Song 10 MIYAKO Keyboard Solo 11 Dancing With The Devil 12 Signs Of Deliverance 13 M.D.O. 14 Golden Destination 15 When Destinies Align 「Encore」 16 The Awakening 17 The Hammer of Wrath 18 Edge Of The World 19 We the United from Japan
Ok, here are a few bands you have not reacted to. These are also all female Japanese bands except for the first one on the list. It is female front singer., (Clinq Element ) Destiny , (Bridear) Thread Of The Light, (Trident) Voltage ,(Ganglion) Blackout , (Doll $ Boxx) Take My Chance.
nice reaction 😊 LOVE BITES ❤️ Other With BAND MAID BABY METAL Thank you for the reaction video of the Japanese band 🇯🇵😉 please next NEMOPHELA --RAITEI This band is also a Japanese girls band It ’s a wonderful band that is as good as BAND MAID and LOVE BITES. There are other recommended Japanese bands 🇯🇵 Unlucky Morpheus GALNERYUS NINGEN ISU WAGAKKI BAND DOLL $ BOXX .. .etc Be sure to check out the bands above of course BABY METAL BAND MAID Check out the other songs from LOVE BITES 😊 I'm using a Google translator, so I'm sorry if it's strange English 🙏
Power Metal is a fraction of what these fine ladies do. They also Thrash like Metallica should still be doing. "Thunder Vengeance live@ Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020" "Break The Walls live @Wacken 2018".
When i look at my first comment i see it does not look how i meant it, i am sorry. I dislike festival videos in reactions, its a wasted oportunity, allways recomend DVD
They are all petite ladies and they have said they white so they can be seen on the dark stages common with metal concerts. Miyako has a beautiful smile, but you have to go to her TH-cam channel to see her smile. Just wait until you have heard her play piano. Haruna (drummer) is known as the atomic powered drummer and she's 4'9". There is an excellent interview of them on the Duke TV's TH-cam channel.
Bandmaid and Babymetal are nice but didn't really cut it for me.... Lovebites are a different beast. Not replacing my beloved Nightwish but definitively adding them to my playlist. Great reaction.
Don't let the apparent lack of expression of Miyako (guitarplayer at the right with dark hairs) fool you: she loves what she do, and she actuazlly plays with much passion - but as a classically trained pianist she doesn't let it show often. She's also the band main composer, and a trully amazing pianist - check this link that will show you their thrash style, their classic Maiden and finally Miyako's fantastic piano playing th-cam.com/video/j5xVI7bBl2E/w-d-xo.html
Miyako the black haur guitarist the one you say makes it look so easy alot of people think she is the greatest guitarist to ever come out of japan and she is just as good at piano she has been playing guitar for only 12 years but been playing piano for 27 yrs if you want to see how good she is at piano react to Lovebites Swan Song with Chopin intro please let me know what you think
Midori is just as good, if not better, on guitar, that is.She also has a hell of a lot of sonngwriting credits, not that much fewer than Miyako. They really are a team, every single 1 of them has songwriting credits.did fact, they remind me of Iron Maiden, in so many ways. Not just the musical structure, but maiden have 4 world-class songwriters, and so do lovebites. The only member of maiden who writes no music at all, is the drummer Nicko.a Similarly, Haruna only writes 1 song per album, really.
@@Rowlph8888 im not knockin any member i think i think Asami, Haruna and Miho are in the top 3 in their craft in japan easily but in my opinion from what i like i think Miyako is just a tad better then Midori but if people think the other way that is awesome too because when i mean a tad i mean a tad
you guys should react to the lovebites songs Edge Of The World Five of a Kind, Swan Song w/ Chopin intro Five of a kind, Rising Live at Mynavi Blitz and Empty Daydreams live in tokyo 2019 for some of their slow stuff which is also amazing, and here is some ofmy favorite songs Scream For Me daughters of the dawn live tokyo 2019 which has 14 guitar solos in the song, We The United Zepp Diversity Tokyo 2020 and Burden of Time which Miyako does something amazing during the solos Metallica is my favorite metal band because i have been hearing them for 33 yrs since i was 6 however Lovebites is the most talented Metal band i have ever heard please let me know what you think
Japan can be a very strict conservative country so all of the pioneers of metal there had to go against the bias against metal. I think maybe it was easier to make money and garner fame as a pop musician but the metal musicians said the hell with that.
Japan is rather conservative, but things aren't that easy. I don't think there ever really was a bias against metal, at least not to a much bigger extent than in the West. Metal has been popular in Japan for decades. And there have been Japanese metal bands since the 80s. Loudness is a big one.
Ridiculous to say they are better.maiden have 3 times the material and 80% of it is the best music in heavy metal. They are the greatest ever Heavy metal band, no question.Other bands such as Metallica, have still Got filler tracks and average albums and have less variety. Maiden don't Love bites have incredible music of the same level as maiden, but as you say heavier.. The difference is that they need to keep doiing this for another 10 years, to Even the cuts come close to matching maiden. Don't forget that they have to be "better," because they wouldn't even be able to write this material without maidens influence. They really are a replica - as brilliant and varied, as their music is, the enntire structure is based on maiden, and no other band. Miho confirmed this, in several interviews and to her and Haruna, Nothing touches maidens catalogue As good as the music is, they do not have an album yet which touches the Greatest ever heavy metal album - "somewhere in Time".But I eagerly await to see if they can match that, at some point, and then maintain consistent high quality for longevity.
Well, you guys just hit the jack pot, once you get lovebitten you always want more blood. Awesome reaction I am new to your channel but an adamant follower and huge fan of Lovebites. I do have their entire collection but the new video they just put out awakening from Abyss live. I am sure that a lot of my buddies here have already informed you with a lot and suggestions and links. Get ready and put your seatbelt on your in for a rough ride of face melting mind blowing music that’s been missing for a very long time. You want to see Miyako and Midori go off a guitar battle you gotta check out Scream for me th-cam.com/video/9Og4gvSUmCo/w-d-xo.html Unlike band maid and baby metal who have gone way to poppy, Lovebites has been very consistent keeping it real. They don’t just do one genre of Rock/metal they range from rock hard rock thrash metal prog metal meta ballads to power metal influences from Iron Maiden Judas Priest to megadeth and slayer, plus there are a few song that I here influences of Micheal Schenker of UFO and his band MSG also some Gary Moore and Scorpions. If you are listening to Iron Maiden ir Judas Priest then you like power metal or heavy metal whatever you wanna call it it’s all the same, which comes from rock
You've done 2 Lovebites reactions and given your react to this one, why wouldn't you want to do another? They are insanely talented and it only gets better! Try Set The World On Fire live th-cam.com/video/2WEkVd5JrFI/w-d-xo.html thrashy AF, with slayer / testament vibes...some real dark guitar tones, brutal solos! Enjoy!! 🐺
So he got upset with her when she stopped Bandmaids guitar solo in Domination, but then he stopped in the middle of this guitar solo. The Guitar Gods say "stop it"!!! 🤣
You're being thrown off by them wearing white and looking elegant.. you're supposed to be thrown off! That's the point! They wear white and dresses for three reasons: 1. So they can be seen. I want to say that Midori (guitarist playing the purple ESP) is the tallest of the ladies, at 5'3", while Haryana (drummer) is 4'9"! If they wore black or jeans like every other band, you couldn't see them in stage, and they'd get swallowed up by everything else on stage. Wearing white helps them to stand out and be seen. 2. You don't have to dress like you just came off a construction site to play metal. They can be women, dress like women, and look elegant while playing just as good (and in a lot of people's opinions, BETTER) than other bands. They love to play hard, but like to walk around with a Louis Vuitton purse. 3. They are being against the norm for metal in Japan. If you want to see some "normal" metal in Japan, search for "visual kei". That's some metal there. LoveBites goes a completely different direction with how they look. They are Japan's metal anti-metal response to Japanese metal. They are really good. Also, all but one of their songs are in English. If you're going down this route, I'd suggest reacting to Thunder Vengeance or Breaking the Wall from this same show.
No, not really, There are absolutely no symphonic elements used in this song. Instead it’s heavy metal mixed with speed metal which in the end equals Power Metal.
Agree with Mat, I enjoy power metal, but for me in small doses and its GOT to be good. These women are good.
First time so short introduction
Lovebites the team of power metal godesses.
Asami R&B, jazz, soul, metal, rock singer, lirycs,

Welcome to the magic world of Lovebites.
Thanks good reaction.
You guys need to hear 《swan song》👌
This is speed metal type for that song. You can hear they're playing a trashy stuff from "Break The Wall" or "Thunder Vengeance"
Nice reaction 🙏 I agree with you when you say "They're Iron Maiden (women version) 😂

LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics
:
Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood
People live in fear, covered in mud
Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
There is a thousand, a thousand of evils
Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall
Reincarnation, wait for your call
Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
Morning star and dying moon
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Mighty soul, let there be hope
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and for one forevermore
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war
These are more metal lyrics than some bands can write and this song was a team effort. Lyrics: Lovebites. Music: Mao. Arrangement: Mao, Lovebites.
Most songs are written with following teams:
Lyrics: Asami. Music: Miyako. Arrangement: Lovebites, Miyako
Lyrics: Miho. Music: Miho, Mao. Arrangement: Mao, Lovebites.
Miyako Guitars and Piano
Former bands: 21 Grams (sometimes 21g), A Drop of Joker
Miho, Founder and Bass and Haruna, Drums:
Former band: Destrose (already listed in comments)
Midori Guitars:
Former Band: Gekijo Metalicche
Asami: Vocals
Former gigs: Backup singer (uncredited) for Vamps and Uverworld
Mao was in a band called Light Bringer (2005-2014) playing keyboards.
Asami is a female Bruce Dickinson if I ever heard one!
great reaction and review, both are lead guitarist.. best duo after Judas Priest and Dragonforce
their music was inspired from 80's heavy metal band(Iron Maiden, Helloween, Judas Priest, etc.)
Miyako the black haired guitarist also play piano, check out their song called : Edge Of The World
a little info, their album was mastered/mixing by the people who worked on Nightwish and Stratovarius
They are definitely the real deal.
in fact. because she is 5 month pregnant, Miyako doesn't wear high heels on this concert. safety of her baby is more important than high heels.
Some more songs you might enjoy:
Scream for Me LIVE (th-cam.com/video/9Og4gvSUmCo/w-d-xo.html) A taste of the Midori/Miyako duo in real flawless action.
Raise Some Hell LIVE (th-cam.com/video/Qm-3zhCFghg/w-d-xo.html)
Empty Daydream LIVE (th-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/w-d-xo.html) Great piano intro by Miyako and Asami's vocals before the usual power blast. Lovebites once bitten you are a member of the WOLF-PACK!!!
Hello Friends , Amazing Lovebites , amazing Miyako , greatings from Chile 🇨🇱 God bless you .
My song suggestions: “When destinies align”, “Hammer of wrath”, “Shadowmaker”, “Break the wall”, “Rising”, “Signs of deliverance”, “Swan song” (with classical piano), “Scream for me”, “Raise some hell”, “Under the red sky”, and a special mention to “Liar”, “Thunder vengeance” (mind blowing), “Dancing with the devil” (classic rock and bluesy vocals), “Empty daydream” (nice piano and vocals with catchy mid tempo), “Epilogue” (epic power ballad, great vocals, nice piano, scorching old school guitar solos) and “Edge of the world” (epic power ballad, nice vocals, nice guitar solos and song build up)
This band crushes and that t-shirt Mat's rocking is the shit!!
If you liked that I highly recommend you check out another Lovebites song called "Swan Song" (th-cam.com/video/QUGCQ1FTB0g/w-d-xo.html), which is also a live video.
MV for The Crusade really shows the Iron Maiden influence
Great shout. The Crusade is based on Maidens "Aces High" & I love the way LoveBites embrace their influences....then improve on them :)
Make sure to select correct version, NOT youtube version.
There's also a great video clip from the song"when destinies align" that includes an amazing solos duo.
yes, "The Hammer of Wrath" from Five of a Kind: th-cam.com/video/S3vjrVtAvzE/w-d-xo.html
And I forgot to mention "break the wall" , Slayer riff+Metallica chorus+Satrani solo Lol
Yes! Lovebites is fantastic! Badass all female metal band! ALL songs from this concert in Tokyo are fabulous!!!
Lovely reactions! Subscribed.
See you next!
Talented band and always good to watch and listen to. Scream For Me the live version is a track i think you would like
Fun fact: This band is a huge fan of the band, Halestorm. They named their band after Halestorm's song, "Love Bites (So Do I) :)
That is a fun fact!
@@MatandChelsReact And Lzzy brought Asami (vocalist) on stage to sing with them.
I can't verify this, but seems like I read somewhere that when they got together for the first time, they jammed on a cover of that song and everything just clicked. They felt so much chemistry together, they decided to name the band after that song.
:O I love Halestorm and that song. Didn't think of it.
Interesting - I know Lzzy is a big fan of The Warning too, be fun to see the three touring at some point...
Yeah, they intentionally harken back to older metal.
@@DShiflet01 Ok, misunderstood by me then. Thanks. It kind of makes sense too :-)
Anything from the two Zepp City shows (2019 and 2020) are guaranteed to blow your faces off....
Double leads, is the common term, and not many bands can do it or ever did it as well
Never seen this band, amazing! Thanks Mat & Chels for bringing me to this gem!
You are welcome! We love introducing you guys to new music 😊🤘 -Chels
DAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMNN !!!!
If you can find it, listen to Swan Song from the same concert. Unfortunately, it's seems to have been taken down by the official site.
Hello Mat and Chels, great reaction. Lovebites are really versatile in their music. They play all sorts of metal. You should check out this killer thrash song called "Thunder Vengeance". Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/yWE7PqCpGi4/w-d-xo.html
Listen to Swan Song, the guitar player plays the piano, world class mistress in both instruments, she is a cyborg!
React to Lovebites break the wall is thrash metal song
Wow..great reaction to this amazing ( Power.-Thrash.-Heavy.-)Metalband "Lovebites" ! I really enjoy it !!! Perhaps you´ll check out " Edge of the World" live2020 ! thank´s and stay save !
What is truly amazing is that the guitarists (Midori and Miyako) started playing guitars relatively late at 20 and 16. They both started on other instruments, and have studied music most of their lives.
Miyako is 30 dude, she was born in 1990.
@@jeffrielly Thanks for the correction!
Another all female metal band from Japan is Aldious. They go from speed metal to pop. For their harder side try Dominator, Re: Fire, or We Are
Power Metal's never been my thing, I find most of it to be kind of cheesy and unintentionally Spinal Tap-ish, but Lovebites are my favourite metal band of all-time aside from Motorhead, who it could be argued aren't even really "metal", at least Lemmy made that argument throughout their entire existence and I tend to agree with him.
I’ve heard some folks refer to Lovebites as “Power Thrash”. In my mind it fits just right.
Just simply check out everything Lovebites has to offer. They never disappoint.
As I know you like the heavier side of things,Hammer of Wrath live also a good choice
Set The World on Fire, and Break the Wall live from Zepp, both live performances are badass. 🤘
Oh I love thrashy Lovebites /,,/ Miyako the guitar sexy Empress! Me too not much of a power metal guy but loved speedy/thrashy power metal like this, they're also like the female version of Galneryus not just Maiden.
Their entire structure is based on maiden. Miho has been quite clear about that

If you both like some crazy dual guitar solo's watch they play Raise Some Hell and When Destiny Align live at Zepp Tokyo.
Power Metal is a fraction of what these fine ladies do. They also Thrash like Metallica should still be doing.
"Thunder Vengeance live@ Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020"
"Break The Walls live @Wacken 2018".
why the hell did you put wacken in there? are you mad? Break the Wall Zepp DIverCity!

Because festival sound sucks. its not rude, its shock

When i look at my first comment i see it does not look how i meant it, i am sorry. I dislike festival videos in reactions, its a wasted oportunity, allways recomend DVD
Plz react to 👉 "Swan Song {Frédéric Chopin Prologue}" 🎹🎸 You can see why there is a white grand piano on the stage :)
Hey guys, u outta check out a couple of new japanese female metal bands,
ALDIOUS We are. LIVE
BRIDEAR Ignite
Damn they also fkn jam
I fully agree.
This band is on my top 5 in present day. Awesome band, great tracks. Try epilogue, is a great ballad. Bring the tissues. 🤣
Lovebites are incredible.
Very impressive!!!!!!✌
Lovebites "burden of time" new live studio video. Miyako plays guitar and keyboard at the same time!
You guys should react to lovebites shadow maker it's awesome
Nice! More lovebites pls. 🤘🐺🖤
Now that you've done Band-Maid, Babymetal, and now Lovebites, you guys should *really* check out Unlucky Morpheus for another fantastic Japanese band.
If you want to see more of the bands personality, highly recommend Raise Some Hell from the same show. It’s so fun!
Next songs Hammer Of Wrath, Break The Wall, Scream For Me, watch their crazy solo's♪♪♪
Waiting for a new Lovebites reaction ;)
Check out Thunder Vengeance by them also.
love the fact they make it a point to show you can be badass and feminine still.
This song reminds me of Sonata Arctica
when destinies align (videoclip)
If you two liked this band then you will love Unlucky Morpheus. I highly recommend Unending Sorceress.
Reminds me more of early Helloween...Nice reaction..
Helloween is the drummer's favourite band.
they’re faster and heavier than Iron Maiden. not to mention more technical. overall better in my opinion.
they have maiden influence. but a lot faster and heavier. in my opinion, they are better and more technical.
Ridiculous to say they are better.maiden have 3 times the material and 80% of it is the best music in heavy metal. They are the greatest ever Heavy metal band, no question.Other bands such as Metallica, have still Got filler tracks and average albums and have less variety. Maiden don't
Love bites have incredible music of the same level as maiden, but as you say heavier.. Miho confirmed this, in several interviews and to her and Haruna, Nothing touches maidens catalogue
As good as the music is, they do not have an album yet which touches the Greatest ever heavy metal album - "somewhere in Time".But I eagerly await to see if they can match that, at some point, and then maintain consistent high quality for longevity.
Well, you guys just hit the jack pot, once you get lovebitten you always want more blood. Awesome reaction I am new to your channel but an adamant follower and huge fan of Lovebites. Unlike band maid and baby metal who have gone way to poppy, Lovebites has been very consistent keeping it real.

They wear white and dresses for three reasons:
If you're going down this route, I'd suggest reacting to Thunder Vengeance or Breaking the Wall from this same show.
suggest their anthem "WHEN DESTINIES ALIGN"
