If I were fortunate to come across a sand beige 1992 Jeep Wrangler Sahara that someone wanted to sell at a fair, reasonable price, I would definitely buy it, take it off of their hands, and convert it into my very own film-accurate replica of the Jurassic Park jeep down to the last detail and replace the old radio with a CD player to play the Jurassic Park soundtrack and drive it to a Halloween costume party dressed up as a dinosaur handler and enter it in a car show.
Gary Lowe My dad claims that the fastest he's ever gone on land was 108mph in a ragged out jeep, and it was the most horrifying car ride he's ever experienced.
Gary Lowe ive gone 70 in an open top one, bone stock other than larger tires, you can scream at the top of your lungs and you still cant even hear yourself the wind is so bad
I live not too far from a huge dinosaur protected area in Drumheller AB, Canada. Where lots of dinosaur bones come from (conditionally, there is also a town called Vulcan close by) . I'd love to have this jeep to drive around there.
•Finn• It's obviously registered, otherwise he would have got a ticket no matter what. I presume he just has the legit license plate in the glove compartment and shows it if he gets pulled over.
and if he ever happens to be in an accident or caught speeding: He won´t get fare in such a unique car. I kind of see why the cops don´t bother to much with the plates. Still, it is a bit scary that the policy is not even asking kindly to put on the plates as long as he is on public streets and insight of the cops...
sarowie Exactly. "A guy pulled a hit and run on me!" "What was his license plate?" "He didn't have one!" "This might be a difficult case" "Well the car was done up as a Jurassic Park Jeep" "Oh, THAT idiot... We'll go pick him up"
caddilacbob Because it's in the same franchise - it's supposed to be a Jurassic Park film? For example it's generally accepted Terminator 2 far surpassed Terminator 1. With Jurassic World, it made a fortune due to the popularity of the existing franchise, but was critically panned.
JurassicCollectables I was not a fan of Jurassic World. I felt like a lot of the acting was poor (especially the children), there were too many illogical scenes, dumb scenarios that could have easily been avoided, just all-around not an impressive movie IMO. The last 30 min were the only entertaining bits for me, the rest of it was a huge disappointment.
I'd love to see a video on the Ford Explorer build too if you guys ever get the chance! I love the jeeps but that's the vehicle I'd want to convert if I ever owned one....
A lot of you guys complaining about his plate. Get over it. What's he going to do, rob places with a vehicle that will blend right in and get away with it because of his plates? Grow up. In Michigan I legally own my wife's hair (err I mean MY hair on my wife's head) and I don't complain when she gets it cut. As long as he isn't hurting anyone lay off. Cool project, glad I got to see it.
Would it be possible to wrap a wrangler to look like that? I want to get a wrangler and do this, but the only ones I can find in my price range aren’t the right color
I'm not a huge Jeep fan, but this is cool. I always liked the Exploder paint job in the movie. I always wondered how that pain scheme would have looked had they gone that route. Either way, fun stuff.
One very curious thing about the people who make these recreations I've noticed people rarely talk about is the engine, as an example within the original movie they make a very specific note that all the cars used in the park are either on-rails (the show cars) or gas jeeps. How many of the recreations have been made to actually fit an LNG (or similar gas) engine into the car for maximum accuracy? I would imagine it would cause problems of course, even in america the fueling stations that sell gas for your car are not all common.
I'm looking to buy a jeep right now to do this. I like the JP explorer better, but after owning several fords, I told myself I would never buy another ford.
Yeah when I heard that too I was like yeah dream on. If you got it for that it would probably be super rusted out. I have a 1994 Jeep Sahara I bought for $5800 no rust really.
MegapiemanPHD this jeep is up... er down there. it depends on the car mostly. delorians are prety rare, trans amms are common and cheap but making them look like kitt would be a little pricey. almost all bond cars are hella expensive. herbie would be cheap. the van from A-team would be pretty modestly priced, as would a mystery machine.
kenrick encinas The A-team van is not that cheap, it's not just a wing and paint job. You need custom side mirrors and rims/tires. The wider side skirts require you to change the way the side door opens etc...
MegapiemanPHD Christine... post car crusher. Just go to the scrap yard, pick out a compacted cube that looks reasonably close, chop a hole into it and install a working radio and voila! :-P
ronjon83 Not totally obsessively detailed and accurate ≠ half-assed. He clearly wants something he can use day to day including off-road and presumably that doesn't cost the earth. He still put a lot of effort into it and plans to do more (like the upholstery), and to the casual observer it looks damn good as it is.
ronjon83 keep in mind he knows what its supposed to have and explained every time why it is different. Besides ..its his, he can do what he wants and enjoy it. Why trash a guy for enjoying something and sharing it.
chad johnson True, he can do whatever he wants with it, but that's more of a 'tribute'... I think it would be neater to interview someone that did a true replica.
It's a shame they used the YJ in those movies. They crap Jeeps. Easily distinguished by the square headlights. Good news for collectors wanting a Jurassic Park Jeep, YJ's are really cheap due to the fact that Jeep enthusiasts don't want them.
+Major Agitator You obviously have never owned a Jeep. YJ Jeeps are garbage, true Jeep enthusiasts want CJs and TJs. The only reason anyone would want a YJ is for an accurate Jurassic Park Jeep, or because they are cheaper than superior Jeeps. But kudos to you for being able to do a simple internet search and finding bad information.
not myname "Can be made in a couple of weekends." You painted some of a car tan, bolted on new wheels and stuck on some vinyl stickers. I guess you could do that in a couple weekends.
***** If I were him I'd run the plates he is, but I'd have the CA plates somewhere on the vehicle, maybe on the spare tire or even just have them inside and if he gets pulled show them to the cop.
There are so many better JP Jeeps to do videos about. Check out the Jurassic Park Motorpool or The Aficionauto for more accurate Jeeps, Explorers, and currently they're restoring the motor home from The Lost World.
Let's just go with the fact that it's a "project" and is infact nowhere near finished. The paint (ignoring the number) and the aftermarket sahara parts seem to be the only researched and accurate elements.
tested... please don't feed the scofflaw. it's not quite so awesome that he flouts the law because he likely knows that improper licensing isn't a point and isn't a big attention grabber with the police as it's technically just a fix-it ticket. his failure to display proper license plates and tags is douchey at best and his cavalier attitude about it made me want to wash my hands.
He spared no expense...
Aakash Kalaria love the sarcasm
😂😂😂😂😂😂

Love that design! Such an iconic art style! Would love to see a detailed video about the other green car too!
Love the T-shirt. UP reference.
+POVadventure it's on TeePublic. I sent him the link when I saw it
I really would not want to do 88mph in a jeep. Mans got balls.
Gary Lowe Yeah, time travelling is scary.
Gary Lowe iv got mine up to 92 mph, down hill, was scary.
+Gary Lowe coefficient of friction of that thing must be like a million.
I live not too far from a huge dinosaur protected area in Drumheller AB, Canada. Where lots of dinosaur bones come from (conditionally, there is also a town called Vulcan close by) . I'd love to have this jeep to drive around there.
He drives around in a lifted, unregistered, kinda screen accurate JP Jeep?
•Finn• It's obviously registered, otherwise he would have got a ticket no matter what. I presume he just has the legit license plate in the glove compartment and shows it if he gets pulled over.

the criminals are mostly those who invents levies and fees for traveling in the country we all own together.

Ahh great work tested! You should review Jurassic World, I'd like to hear Adam compare it to the original movie
JurassicCollectables its not a remake, why would you try and draw comparisons.
caddilacbob Because it's in the same franchise - it's supposed to be a Jurassic Park film? For example it's generally accepted Terminator 2 far surpassed Terminator 1. With Jurassic World, it made a fortune due to the popularity of the existing franchise, but was critically panned.
JurassicCollectables Much (i mean MUCH) better than JP 2 and 3. The end.
JurassicCollectables I was not a fan of Jurassic World. I felt like a lot of the acting was poor (especially the children), there were too many illogical scenes, dumb scenarios that could have easily been avoided, just all-around not an impressive movie IMO. The last 30 min were the only entertaining bits for me, the rest of it was a huge disappointment.
vmiki888 Not a chance. JW was absolute tripe. The fact that anyone could say it's better than 2 astounds me.
I'd love to see a video on the Ford Explorer build too if you guys ever get the chance! I love the jeeps but that's the vehicle I'd want to convert if I ever owned one....
I'd rather see a video on a more legit looking explorer though. The one in this video isn't even the correct bodystyle.
I love how he takes certain liberties in being not entirely screen accurate for the sake of prcticality but refuses to put a proper plate on it. :)

Norm is just getting better and better with his interviews, onya Norm great job
I'm not a huge Jeep fan, but this is cool. I always liked the Exploder paint job in the movie. I always wondered how that pain scheme would have looked had they gone that route. Either way, fun stuff.
What's up with the dslr on the ground behind them?
That White Land Rover Discovery In The Beginning Tho 😍
Love Jeeps SO much but never owned one and only road in an open one once as a teen. Damn thats sad. That one is a beauty. Love the red stripe.
Coolest thing I’ve ever seen!
One very curious thing about the people who make these recreations I've noticed people rarely talk about is the engine, as an example within the original movie they make a very specific note that all the cars used in the park are either on-rails (the show cars) or gas jeeps. I know your comment is 5 years old, but I'm surprised nobody responded ... "Gas" is simply referring to "gasoline". 🙂
I wonder if my 2000 Sahara would look good like this.
I really hope this is building up to a review of Adam's Keep!
Jeep?
No, I meant his castle
That dude is "all in."
Awesome...love it.
Holy shit, is that an AW11 MR2 in the background?
I love modifications like this!
How many of these Jeeps did Universal Studios commission?
I'm looking to buy a jeep right now to do this. I like the JP explorer better, but after owning several fords, I told myself I would never buy another ford.
So you and the explorer guy are Jurassic park ricers? I really want to see the sweet front winch vinyl...
Totally going on Craigslist to look for a used jeep now.
Argonaut Arcade same
Great video again; you guys always do a great job. One question, Norm, were did you get that awesome Predator t-shirt? Keep up the great work.
A used 95/92 Jeep for a "couple thousand bucks"? I wish :/
more like 6 for one w/o rust
Yeah when I heard that too I was like yeah dream on. If you got it for that it would probably be super rusted out. I have a 1994 Jeep Sahara I bought for $5800 no rust really.
Where did you find the doors?
anyone else notice in 2020 that at 4:55 he has a screw coming loose in the side of his step?
'93 Sahara daily driver for over twenty years.
until you get the glass roof on the explorer you can't even try to claim replica status. and good luck at figuring out a way to do that.
That's also the wrong bodystyle for the explorer, even if he has everything else right it's still way off
should have talked about the explorer.
Yeah the explorer that's not even remotely accurate lol
Anyone else notice the dslr just sitting on the ground 4:30
What size is the door sticker
Best job ever!
I wonder what the cheapest iconic movie car is to make.
MegapiemanPHD I'd imagine something like Herbie.
MegapiemanPHD Turn a 1984 ford econoline van into a sheepdog :D
kenrick encinas The A-team van is not that cheap, it's not just a wing and paint job. You need custom side mirrors and rims/tires. The wider side skirts require you to change the way the side door opens etc...

Norm doesn't fit with cars, he's too nerdy..
That shirt is amazing! I want.
+Threshold One it's on TeePublic. I sent him the link when I saw it
I've had a yj before I just really don't like the square headlights so I decided to stay with my 3 cjs
I built the ford explorer and got a video of it on my channel , I tried to keep it as cheap as possible
What rims are those?
loved his t-shirt.
+demonicusrex it's on TeePublic. I sent him the link when I saw it
To Adam,
I love your model making videos but I have noticed there are very few. Please make some more videos about models.
Sincerely,
Conrad Heil
Seems quite half-assed, to be honest. He says, multiple times, "It's supposed to have this -- but I have this instead..."
ronjon83 He's not sacrificing practicality for perfect accuracy.
ronjon83 Not totally obsessively detailed and accurate ≠ half-assed.
He clearly wants something he can use day to day including off-road and presumably that doesn't cost the earth. He still put a lot of effort into it and plans to do more (like the upholstery), and to the casual observer it looks damn good as it is.
It's quite bad as far as JP Jeeps go, tbh
ronjon83 keep in mind he knows what its supposed to have and explained every time why it is different. Besides ..its his, he can do what he wants and enjoy it. Why trash a guy for enjoying something and sharing it.
chad johnson True, he can do whatever he wants with it, but that's more of a 'tribute'... I think it would be neater to interview someone that did a true replica.
Geez I wonder why he went with Jeep number 88 wow that’s A high number I don’t think I’ve seen one over #20
It's 8 yrs ago?
It's a shame they used the YJ in those movies. They crap Jeeps. Easily distinguished by the square headlights. Good news for collectors wanting a Jurassic Park Jeep, YJ's are really cheap due to the fact that Jeep enthusiasts don't want them.

What's so bad about yj's?
Is it an accident that guy looks just like Chris Pratt?
That Ford explorer is the wrong year
always loved the Jurassic park jeeps sad this was a 1995
i love how he has the endgame insignia on the gas compartment
ever detail down to the "teeth" he said. "norm" does it have this? "no" what about this? No. Lol
not myname "Can be made in a couple of weekends." You painted some of a car tan, bolted on new wheels and stuck on some vinyl stickers. I guess you could do that in a couple weekends.
So he goes off road daily?
yes Norm dont spoil a 20 year old movie, its not like people had time to watch it.
Hmmmm you know that he was talking about the new movie, right?
NautyEskimo I had no idea June was 20 years ago already.
i would like to see a nissan fairlady 280z-t made up to look like prowl from the g1 transformers cartoon
hoost?
i actually have seen multiple in new hampshire
Some guy in my city has one of these
I wascin the navy with that guy
Awesome !!
No joke I saw one of these today
woa actually watching 2mins after upload when does that happen??
Normally about 2 mins after upload. 😀😀
I like you
I'd love to do this to my jeep
wtf, doesnt even have plates for the car. very unprofessional.
*****
and tested thinks illegal shit is "awesome"
***** If I were him I'd run the plates he is, but I'd have the CA plates somewhere on the vehicle, maybe on the spare tire or even just have them inside and if he gets pulled show them to the cop.
Jack Begley I don't think he would get out of trouble with that .. You need them ON the car.
***** Plates on not commercial cars are just a big scam to begin with. We put them on cause lawyers are expensive and we're chickens
Veikra non commercial vehicles can still commit crimes, hence number plates are required for identification
why is there a #endgame logo on there?!
Dries I'll let you guess why ;) Ingress is pretty big here in SoCal.
Thought they were Rubicons, not Saharas
He evens cosplay Chris Pratt :)
I would love to drive a cool movie car everyday.
TBH the tan is the wrong color(i have a 93 Sahara) still looks good tho
I will build another one one day...
My dream car
Who saw the Endgame logo on the back?
That's cool
really cool;-).
Hey I know this guy haha
I want to do this on my tj
I want one
omg i have seen these in the streets
Badass
There are so many better JP Jeeps to do videos about. Check out the Jurassic Park Motorpool or The Aficionauto for more accurate Jeeps, Explorers, and currently they're restoring the motor home from The Lost World.
Goals
mcgyver conversion would have been cooler
End Game
it looks like it says joop
At least its not a vw bug with a herbie paint job.
Babalooza Which would have been adorable.
But I've seen them a million times....
meu deus
Let's just go with the fact that it's a "project" and is infact nowhere near finished. The paint (ignoring the number) and the aftermarket sahara parts seem to be the only researched and accurate elements.
It's completely inaccurate thanks for wasting my time.
AimlessMoto You waste more time by being rude, and commenting hate.
Yeah the jeep is not screen accurate at all
Looks better than the explorer
Jurassic world worst movie ever. Kids walking lobotomies.
Only idiots call wheels rims.
