The engine shown is the 2.5l not a 4.0l. And the Jurassic Park Jeep is now featured in Forza Horizon 5 in their Universal Studios DLC (also featuring KITT and all 3 versions of the Back To The Future Delorean DMC-12 Time Machine).
I really liked the scene in Jurassic World when they rediscovered the Jeeps from the original movie. Now its even better knowing these were actual screen used ones from that film!
While not exclusive to the jeeps, the Jurassic Park logo was created by the toy designers at Kenner who were looking for some way to decorate the toys for the initial product review with Spielberg. He liked their design so much it was used for the in-world park and became the movie poster.
lots of cool facts here, thank you sir! My Grandpa was a Vietnam Veteran and was a Sargent who was a helicopter gunner in Vietnam, he absolutely loved jeeps and in his time of being here on Earth he owned several Jeeps, the ones I'm aware of since i was born in 1991, he owned a 1985 Jeep CJ, he owned a 1999 Jeep Wrangler Tj soft top and a 2018 Jeep JL. he passed away on May 28th 2023 and in his will he gave me the 1999 Jeep and my older sister got the 2018 Jeep. the jeep means a lot to me than simply being a 4x4, it reminds me every time i get in it of my grandpa, he was my Hero and the one i looked up to when i was growing up. I'm never selling my jeep, ever. since I've owned it I've taken good care of it, i put Jurassic Park Logos on the door, replaced the black soft top with a tan one made by Rough Country, i swapped out the stock bumper with a heavy duty aftermarket bumper with space to mount a Winch, it has built in LED fog Lights, i put a pair of Amber Spotlight AuxBeam Lights on the bumper and i put a pair of White Auxbeam Off road lights on the hood near the windscreen, i have the JP license plate from the movie on the grill and custom license plate holder frames, one in front says "Life, Uh, Finds a Way" and the Rear one Says "I spared No Expense" the rear tire cover is the JP Logo without the Jurassic Park words, just the T rex in the red circle with the trees and to finish off the JP theme i have a Little JP jeep Matchbox car that hangs from my rear view Mirror! also i have RGB light strips that illuminate the inside of the jeep at night. only thing left to do is install a subwoofer in it and put the JP and Number Vinyl on the Hood and maybe get new headlights that have addressable RGB rings in them?. my grandpa would be proud of just how good it looks now, i know it!. i cant drive anywhere without some kid or some adult stopping me and saying how cool my Jeep is, its crazy.
Great video, and it's a good thing that the Jeeps in question are in the hands of private collectors for good measure and not allowed to be forgotten, good move and can't wait for the next video.
I saw Jurassic Park in the theater on my 12th birthday it was an amazing experience. It's still one of my favorite movies of all time. Another great video, my friend!
Yes! I've seen the Jeep #23 on display at Universal Orlando in February! Never knew it was an actual one used!! Tires are starting to dry rot on it however. lol
The engine shown looks like the 4 cylinder. I'd have to go back and look, but the large fan shroud, plus short valve cover, definitely jumped out at me. Not a big deal, and I'm ok with being wrong! Keep them coming, duder 😊✌️
Yeah, I was talking about the straight 6 on that part, but I showed a straight 4 instead, I didn't notice that until I already had the video up, but thanks for noticing, lol 😉
@@CarStarz42 it jumped out because I have fixed a bunch of wrecked ones, and the main indication for 4 banger was huge fan shroud. As long as it's a stick shift, I'm ok with either one! 😁
The Sarah edition came standard with the larger engine at that time, which was a in-line 4.0. The electrical also came heavy duty with a larger amp alternator and heavy duty breaks.
LOL I built the 29 in your video, Chris bought it from me and I shipped from GA to California. Also your engine pictures are from a 4 banger not a 4.0 I6. Love your videos would be willing to send build pics.

You got a few things wrong but overall nice video. The 4.0L was not a mid tier engine it was the big option. It replaced the weaker 4.2L that had a carburetor and had less power. Also you were showing a 2.5L not one of the inline sixes. Also the replicas you were showing, most did not have the Jabsco lights on the light bar but a knock offs and in the movie they only had 4 of them not 5. Otherwise good job and nice video. :)
Yes, that's the one. Sorry for poor spelling. I just woke up when I commented. That Camero was featured rather prominently in that movie. I hated that they trashed it.
How about something on the Springtime Yellow 1966 Mustang six cylinder three speed convertible use in the 1974/1975 TV series Kolchak The Night Stalker?
Should also be noted that this Jeep is drivable in Forza Horizon 5 as part of the Universal Studios Legends Car Pack. However it is pretty underwhelming in said game
Yeah for whatever reason the video game versions of vehicles I’ve owned (jeep Wrangler, 1986 F250, 4th Gen Camaro, and 2nd Generation AMC Javelin/AMX) seem way slower and underwhelming in Forza Horizon. Really every video game.
I had a '92 Jeep Wangler Sahara edition with the same interior, top, and paint before the studio added the extra paint & accessories. I got 325 K out of it with the original engine, transfer case, and transmission. Only got rid of it because it did not have airbags. It had a latch in the glove compartment that had a Ford emblem on it that was part of the original equipment. I still have the original radio and front speakers. Even the license plate. How pathetic!
