Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Shawn Michaels took place during the WWF's tour of Kuwait in 1996. Many of the matches were televised internationally but few made it to TV in the United States. During the final night of the tour Stone Cold decided to rib Shawn Michaels and referee Earl Hebner by wearing Bret Hart's pink wrist tape and pink arm bands, and he also hid a fork in his wrestling gear for Hebner to find during a search. Stone Cold liked to make people break character and he frequently tried to make his opponents laugh during untelvised matches; this is an example of one of those occasions.
This video looks at the Pink Steve Austin taking on HBK overseas and Austin having fun after episodes of Raw going off the air.
#WWF #Wrestling #WWE
Austin was an incredible athlete before the neck injury. But it's great to see how he used to seriously rib to this degree, if you don't enjoy your job, what are you even doing haha
He had great technical matches before Owen ruined him. It’s a shame.
@@MM-qi5mkit was an accident get over it
Usually we avoid the video to hide from copyright strikes, today Wrestling Bios did it to save us from all the camera cuts. 🙏
I will always crack up at Vince trying to get Undertaker to do the spinarooni in the middle of the ring. That's just hilarious to me.
Austin hiding a fork was funny
that popped me lmao
I'd like to hear Austin and HBKs comments on this lol
"Bret, you wear the pink and the black. In Stone Cold's book, pink stands for YOU KNOW WHAT!"
Stone Cold - September 1996 🤣
Austin would also draw an eyeball on his palm. So when he would give his hand for a knuckle lock, his opponent would see the eyeball and stone cold would say "look into the eye".
This is my favorite version of his entrance music.
I think it was the best fit for his intensity and the tempo perfectly matched up with his gait and the pace he walks at.
Another example of WWE entrance music where you have no idea what 95% of the lyrics mean but still love the song.
I agree this Disturbed version was the best ❤
I was able to meet Stone Cold and get a pic with him after a house show. Had a friend who's mom worked security. I have never smiled as hard as I was in that picture.
Wrestlers definitely still pull ribs like this, after Brodie Lee passed away there was a flood of stories from people about the pranks he’d pull and their (usually failed) attempts to get him back. I even got to see some of that in person. Back in 2015 I saw him work a house show match against Dean Ambrose, and the whole time Brodie/Harper kept doing Hulk Hogan poses and kissing his biceps like Scott Steiner just because it kept making Ambrose laugh. He’d take Ambrose down with a discus lariat or whatever then do the Big Poppa Pump flex or Hogan double-bicep, and Dean would be lying on the mat trying not to crack up.
Austin was showing his respect to Bret Hart on that day
Maybe, but at that time austin didn't even feud with bret, he was still the ring master so I doubt it was to pay respect to bret if It was after the Survivor series of 1996 then I would see the reason of him paying respect to bret but I think not
@@Usernotfound_bxtch0_0 It was a joke
He’s an animal
@@Usernotfound_bxtch0_0 he's already stone cold, but he was still the million dollar champion.
@Ding Dong he was at the beginning stages. I think by that time, he already was solo and didn't have Ted as his manager
Them making each other break character is like when they break on SNL, it always makes me bust a gut.
HBK was in such great shape during this time!
I love how you can hear him smiling in the last minute (14:00) of the video.
This is why I love professional wrestling.
Man, this channel has grown so much from when I started watching. It was basically just videos about a single wrestler, full documentary style. It took about 40 or so weeks to start seeing some humor in the RTW videos even. One of the very few channels that I caught where the quality increased when I found it instead of decreasing. Always leave a like and a comment for the algorithm since I am broke
I pop at all of wrestling bios' consistent jokes lol. Davey boy Smith chinlock is one of my favorites. Also his little funny ways of saying when people take a nut shot. "Shawn's little showstoppers"
@@TheBrister thanks raven
I'd still hold that documentary stuff up as quietly some of the best content on Wrestling TH-cam.
I like humor much as the next person I love a lot of the running jokes on RTW but idk everyone on TH-cam does it and I kinda miss the straight informative style sometimes because it's so different from what else is out there.
Brilliant on Austin. Can't wait to share this with a co-worker who claims Bret and Shawn didn't help build Austin. Those 3 men laid the ground work for The Attitude Era 🤣🤣🤣. Austin of course was the guy who ran with "the ball" once Bret and Shawn were gone. All legends.
Your coworker is a clown shoe
Bret MADE Stone cold❤
I remember Austin talking about this during an interview, only WrestlingBios could make a video on it 😂 loving the work bro
Thank you for providing context, since all SCSA said about it was "it was a rib" 😂
That would be a really cool video to cover the after show shinnanigans that most of us didn't get to see.
Theres a trove of unreleased material just now being showcased from way back when...and its backstage locker room treasure...
Its funny that sting was REALLY GOOFY just a little bit like his joker gimmick...
So that is why he was so great with that gimmick, it was a side of him that he knew well, and he just upped the amps....
One of the better modern day ribs (even if it was still from 12 years ago now) was when Daniel Bryan had William Regal's 'Real Man's Man' theme played briefly during Regal's entrance for their match on Superstars.
Yep when you mentioned about Austin having fun i remember when cameras weren't rolling during Rebellion in 2001 after he defeated The Rock both of them were trying stay in character during a sing off. I do think in the end Rock gave him a Rock Bottom to end it though.
the pink and black attack killed me. 😆
Funny you mention next time you play one if the games to throw pink on Austin, i was already thinking about doing that less than half way through the vid. maybe next time i start up no mercy.
I normally save these for workout videos but have been falling a bit behind lately, will probably will keep reliving the war for later so I can keep watching them in order. Been struggling a little bit with my health lately and am still undergoing investigations into what's going on. The initial signs are that it's nothing life-threatening and it's most likely a backlash from the chemotherapy I had 4 years ago for my cancer. I have mentioned this a few times in my comments and I'd just like to say to you and the other content creators I follow for helping to keep my mind off things when I was feeling under pressure and also thanks to my fellow subscribers to the kind words and support when I have spoken about things. Being open about my cancer really helped me mentally deal with things, that's real life and online, from the people who know me and the people who don't. Thank you, everyone.
@wrestlingbios, have you ever thought about doing a "after the show video" video?? Would be good done 3 parts maybe, what you think?
Great work, really enjoy your uploads
Damn i wish we had more Austin matches from before he broke his neck but after he was starting to pull away from the Ring Master gimmick.
Awesome video, thank You Wrestling Bios.
😄👍
Don't sleep on his WCW run. Especially gis fued with Steamboat.
@@Joel-wv9wx yeah, there were some points when he got to be good in WCW wasn't there?
@@DeathsNitemareShepardOfHope you could definitely tell he was a talker in WCW...
It's a damn shame the workhorse matches we were robbed of because of that fluke injury. Austin was already putting on clinics like vs Bret at Survivor Series '96, imagine what he could do in his prime with a healthy neck vs the crop between 99 and 2001...
@@Mrryn His prime was years earlier while in WcW....
People forget, Austin had an entire ppv match wearing a Tuxedo, which in turn was the laying foundation for the bra and panties/evening gown match....
If anyone want a clickbait video, have the video of “Undertaker gets baited to do the spin-o-roony” in a corner whichever you desire with a picture of The Undertaker adjusting his purple glove looking like he's ready do the 'roony in the background.
I am a simple man, Wrestling Bios uploads a video, I click
I also am very simple.
Excellent video on Stone cold Steve Austin aka the ringmaster vs shawn hbk Michaels .awesome match
I have to admit that I voted for the toxic turtles just to make WB go through that 😆
Wwe?
@@Wberdly555 what about WWE?
Love the Revenge tune at the end!
When I think of wrestling from the 90s I think of that tune!
austin decided to pay tribute to martin kirby before his career even started
This is by far my friends the greatest most comprehensive wrestling channel on TH-cam in my opinion.
bios always coming clutch with the hits!
This was fun! I love seeing Stone Cold's more playful side! Also, as a day 1 RtW fan, we were missing a few explosive move calls here! 😂
Wrestling Bios is the man woooo always delivering the best wrestling content on TH-cam
The pink and black attack says I just whooped your ass.
This was hysterical!!!! Nice video dude
Austin behind the ring is loads of fun.
Just wanna say, I love the Botchamania/OSW/Bios universe where you all have these shared jokes and references. Was watching an OSW with Maffew and was caught offguard by a “STEVE MUFUGGIN BLACKMAN” bit
It's the Multiverse of Mad Wrestling Bollix
Three channels dedicated to the insane world of wrestling and having a blast with the inherently silly side of wrestling while appreciating the awesome side of it.
Austin respected the jam wearing that pink tape lol. Thank God it was only for the Kuwait 🇰🇼 tour that one time.
Trying to make Undertaker break character would be the greatest achievement ever!
I bet Macho Man could've done it.
First time I heard of the after the show set, gotta look for that. 😁
At a house show I attended roughly around this time, I noticed a figure standing in one of the hallways that led into the arena. It looks like they were taking in the match that was going on too. Upon a second look, I saw it was Steve Austin.
Me being an over excited teenager, I tried to get his attention by shouting Stone Cold and waving at him. He ended up waving back and giving me a thumbs up.
I was expecting him to flip me the bird (maybe he did when I wasn't looking). At the time I couldn't imagine Steve Austin "breaking kayfabe" but knowing a little more now how he acted when the camera were off, it was a cool moment for me.
Shawn's physique during this time was at it's peak
Wha?!
He was way more jacked up when he was a rocker....
look again dude...
@@SegaDream131 I always thought he looked bigger as a Rocker, but he had a lot of baby fat lol.
I thought his peak was more late 97/ early 98. He was definitely getting more jacked in 98, and then of course had the back injury. I always wondered if he didn’t get injured how he would have looked in the attitude era.
@@alexloyola4695 yep! he was heavier in the rocker days, but gradually leaned out when he went solo.
He looked his strongest & most athletic in his later mid 90's late 90's HBK Run so I agree with Dr Loomis 's Diagnosis.
Stone Cold had the Jam that day.
Wrestling Bios with the quality content and stuff I havent seen before!
6:20-This is one of the greatest segments ever; how Undertaker didnt even crack a smile is amazing!
its so nice to see the kuwait tour specially since its my country that meant a lot for us that people still talk about it till this day yes its not so good at matches but for us it was so good 😊
Did anyone ever talk about the pink and black attire Austin wore to the match?
@@rayvenkman2087 no but they still talk about the event and share old videos of it with pride because it was a big deal to see them live in our country
I'm going to join the patron at the end of the month. Also the after Raw video is one of the best videos ever put out by wwe. I've never laughed so hard during it. Austin was absolutely on one during the post show. Even one beer bash that went 40 minutes. Cheers mate! Keep up the banging content.
14:30 minutes in and i finally got what you meant by Stone Cold the Heartbreak Austin lol
At 10:04, I expected Austin to complain that Shawn pulled his hair.
Just to mess with them once again
i loved the Spinner Rooney craic with Taker! looks like a lot of give in the top rope there too.
Brilliant video as ever. I've ordered the after the show blu ray lol.
Let me tell ya brother all the little biomaniacs feel the love and dig the bios brother. The biomaniacs love the enthusiasm and feel the passion brother
WWE should just let this man be their archive footage keeper. Not hiring him is a huge blunder.
They don't need to, hes actually their competition, and hes also a huge free advertising...
wow, those are really nice stems you used for the intro music...such clean cuts...
This one of your best intros bro lol
WWE should release another compilation of off-air moments because they're genuinely entertaining and helped fuel my love for wanting to see these dark segments.
Been waiting for one
Another great video we appreciate wrestling bios
Another awesome upload from the wrestling channel with the most jam on the planet!
Damn Austin wrestled 2 matches in darkness in this era in the span of a month the next one being beware of dog against savio
Always great remixes of music!
Your in depth rabbit-hole chasing it's quite a few reasons why I like you and your channel
Guess it was a ballet class for Stone Cold that night.
Seeing Shawn almost corpse makes me wonder if he ever participated in any ribs himself. All of the stories/anecdotes make it seem like he was a prick 24/7, but I’d like to think there were moments of levity sprinkled here and there during that era.
he shat in Rock's bag
@@nebulous798 damn. No wonder why Rock couldn’t stand him back then lol
As always great video keep up the great work bro your the fuckin best in the bizz
I need to find this best of raw after the show dvd now. Never knew it existed
Austin with a fork? I'm guessing he was just going to pay tribute to Abdullah the Butcher if the ref doesn't take it.😁
Brilliant mate. Another masterpiece.
I can't/wouldn't take austin seriously had he continue to worn those omg I'm glad that was a one time thing 😂
One day, Toxic turtles, your time will come.
To this day, their WWF/WWE undefeated streak has yet to be broken.
I was wondering what the takerooni was in reference to when I watched Taker's hall of fame speech yesterday, thanks for clearing that up for me
There are videos of that whole segment, just search up 'Takerooni' or 'Undertaker Spinerooni'. Watch it. You will not be disappointed with the amount of trolling that is happening to poor Taker.
WHAT ARE YOU? A GHEYLORD PERSON MAYBE????
We had “Like” Cola in Puerto Rico when I was a kid. It was as popular as Royal Crown, but got to a point when I never saw it again.
Looks cool & that is the best Stone Cold Theme Song
Came back to this video after hearing about the shenanigans CM Punk has been doing with the Holiday shows. Nice to hear there's still fun to be had when the cameras aren't rolling.
I glad you found it. I wanted to see it
I knew Steve Austin was an undercover Hart Foundation member. I feel Bret might have asked and lent Austin that tape to troll HBK. BH helped to build Austin and allow Austin’s already existing talent to shine more brightly.
Oh okay, I get it now, Austin is great, I never knew ANY of this!
Stone Cold in pink, who would have thought it.
This whole thing would make me think Austin was dropping Easter eggs on his future feud with Bret. Lol
That was cool when hed hang around after the show drink, stun triple H & watch hunter’s ability to sell in a hilarious way without laughing himself
1988-1989 I remember stunning Steve at the Dallas sportatorium the first one at the autograph table and he would be there till every kid got a signed program
During the entrance and pretty much the entire match you can clearly see Austin trying not to laugh lmao
Stone cold wore pink i never knew that thats funny lmfao Stone cold rocks great video d.T.A.
great work on the channel sir
I gotta get that after the show DVD now
Ok so now you need to cover the aftershow stuff. We'll be waiting. Lol
I Wish They Do More Shows In Kuwait My Country 🇰🇼
The red turnbuckle pads reminds me of the 90s WWF Raw video games.
Austin really is obssessed with Bret Hart
You know they were and are good friends and back then, bret was helping Steve adjust to wwf/wwe and as you know he helped Steve get over.
@@willjohnboy it's a joke, dude
Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to notice you saying “package” like mean gene
The pink and black, beer swilling, attack lol
I'd love a video about this whole tour if possible. I think there might have been a vhs
I can't find that After the Show Blu-Ray in North America for a reasonable price. Seems they stopped producing it. Not finding it on any high sea websites either. Great video, I'd heard of this one I think when Stone Cold was asked about it on his podcast.
I went to a house show in Springfield Illinois the main event was CM Punk versus Curtis Hawkins. After the show was over all of a sudden Steve Austin's music plays CM Punk and Kofi Kingston came out and did the whole Steve Austin gimmick with water bottles. I love going to House shows I've been to smack downs and Roz but how shows are a total different experience.
Very brave, I would've thought a bloke like Steve Austin wouldn't be seen dead in pink tights lol.
He looks like a Hart member with Pink and Black
Awesome I've never seen this before. I'm so wishing to see all these WWE dark matches because they are probably so many Match of the Year-worthy classics.
I for one want to see a match between Batista and Rey Mysterio in which Batista calls his best match and even has a spot where Rey Mysterio kicked out of the Batista Bomb.
This was before Austin 3:16. Steve was showing star power even back then... if I was Vince I would've upped the rib ante and told Austin he was winning the belt as he walked thru that curtain. God tier research skills on display as usual, WB.
Sidebar: Sami and the Usos missed a golden opportunity to hit the Rikishi dance off after a match. Imagine them and Paul trying to get Roman and Solo to dance with them... ish would've broke the internet.
The rattlesnake pink & Black Attack
