Wow, with these tips I managed to get rid of the annoying jitter issue on PSVR2 when turning the character, it's so butter smooth now, even with High settings. Characters moving sideways are still laggy, but I can mostly live with that. I still get crashes on using quickhack too many times in a row and such, but that's likely unrelated. Tack så mycket!
hey also got psvr2 but cant get it to work, looks like a large theatre screen instead. How did you get it to work? I have steamvr and the playstation app running
I tried installing the VR, but I cannot manage to launch the game into VR If I launch Steam from Virtual Desktop while having "Use Desktop Game Theatre while SteamVR is active" unchecked, then after launching the game (either from SteamVR or Steam desktop) and pressing Play on CDPR's launcher, the game will launch in the squarish resolution, but will not stream to the VR
Sounds weird. I have not used Virtual Desktop while playing CP2077 for a while. If you have an Oculus headset, it should not be necessary to use SteamVR if I remember correctly
it's probably because of the recent cyberpunk update breaking lukeross's mod. You need REAL mod version 9.33. I ran into the same issue, so went to luke's Patreon, and in the cyberpunk section, there's the hotfix update.
Thank you for the tutorial! Before, it was unplayable in vr. But on my Meta quest 3, I see things pixelated/unclear/unsharp. Is there a setting for that or is it my meta quest 3?
if you are on Windows 10/11 and the game does not start in VR - check if you have Windows 7 compatibility mode enabled for the game .exe file, if so - disable it.
Doesn't want to launch Cyberpunk in Oculus quest 2 with this mod. I run it on a computer, it does not go into a helmet. Vortex mod worked fine before, I uninstalled it I also tried to rename sl.interposer_back.dll, now the game does not start at all. Please help

Thanks to another commenter, changed from 1/3 to 1/2 on one of the settings in the mod menu in-game (can't remember the name of the setting) and got up to 70fps. Still trying to figure out how to get up to 90fps
Figured it out (thanks Virtual Desktop redditors!). Turns out Virtual Desktop was limiting FPS to 72. Because of playing over Virtual Desktop, VD treats PC VR as streaming. If you navigate to the Streaming tab of the VD menu (while in the headset), you can adjust what the max FPS is and it bumps up to 90 immediately!
Well I tried all your instructions, but did not see any change... I still have shimmering around everything, it is OK when driving, but around people is bad. Game breaking. When I look at my monitor of the PC I see evrything double, guess that has to do with the (AER2.0 ?) sending 2 alternating pictures sent to my Valve Index ? The Index is 1600x1440/eye but any angled line badly needs anti aliazing. Rx308Ti, i9-12900K,16GB (G5), only SSD drives. I wonder if I need to buy a rtx4090, but the 3080Ti is only a year or so old... I do get a high frame rate around the 90 during game with lots of dips, but benchmark said 60 fps avg. In this mod developed by Luke, during gunfights/while pressing L2, do you still have to aim with your head, or is it possible to aim with the controller's gyroscope while still being able to move your head to move the camera without moving your weapon/arm at the same time? If not, does this mode exist elsewhere? Can it be integrated into Luke's VR mod?
When I try the mod I get just a giant 2d screen. I made sure I extracted the folder in my cyberpunk.exe folder and I ran the RealConfig file. When i click start VR nothing happens. Ive tried choosing Oculus(what i have), openvr, and steamvr and nothing happen. Any ideas?
Dude. thank you. Installed the Ross mod today and at first was pretty disappointed. Then found your vid and installed the other two mods and followed your tips. Incredible! like night and day. Still some tweaking to do but wow, what a difference! one odd thing tho: now I can't enable DLSS. It's greyed out in settings. I'm guessing its a setting in one of those mods, but i can't work out what. Any ideas? I'm on a 3090 and 5800x3d, quest 2. UPDATE: scratch that, I got it working! Had to manually select my GPU in Nvidia control panel, in case anyone has same problem. Thanks again man, can't believe how good this looks...

Been going through hell the last week .. Many hours spent.. The many mods break CyberPunk w/ LukeRoss's VR mode now. Heavily Customized Optimization mod .ini file being one of them.. We might need to refresh this video.. Update: found that if I launch it within Vortex Mod manager , it works.. Strange.
Why the game does not launch in VR mode: I placed it into Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64, but seems when I turn it on, it does not launch into vr nor does it work when launching from steamvr. In the video it seems when you launch the game and put the headset on, the game home menu shows up in the headset. for me its just black and game launches on my desktop normally. Edit: simply used an older version of the VR mod. This worked for me.
At least for myself, I had to start SteamVR but not launch the game from regular Steam. I just clicked to launch directly from the CP2077 exe after having started SteamVR only.
Hey dude, did you realise Ross updated the mod and how the map works (3d perspective) not so long ago? I believe there's an option to go back to default somewhere
i use ross mod version 9.5 and I can't launch cyberpunk2077. after I click the start button on steam, the button changes color for a while then just... nothing happpeneddd. or maybe I should not use Virtual Desktop to play? but i think that's is not the key problem because i can not run 2077 even when I don't use quest2. just start on pc
Oh! FYI in the video you mention the latest version is 4.1.1. That's actually the Elden Ring Mod. As of 6-20-22 the current version of Cyberpunk 2077 R.E.A.L. is 3.3.1.
I have a high-end pc got it to work for a little but just keeps crashing can't even get into the game. I modded other VR in other games just fine but Luke Rosses stuff just doesn't seem to work well it crash constantly did everything in this video spent hours YT videos ask for help did what people told me to do but just doesn't work I don't recommend i will save you 10USD
Does the game look at good as as shown on TH-cam as it does in the headset? I'm having issues with the game looking very crisp on my monitor by rather blurry in the headset. Increasing resolution helps only a small amount. The game is running at a locked 90hz with around 60ms latency so seems fine there.
@@haldisvr Did a fully clean install removed all mods and app data. I then reinstalled including Luke's mod so I'm at the default 2432x2432 that his mod sets. The oddest part is even if I up it to say 3808x2608 using the overlay (Target pixels per degree) the quality is about the same. I only see the most minor of improvement and take a massive fps hit. I had played before using VorpX and it was fine even at much lower resolutions. Looks how I'd expect just being a bit zoomed in and seeing some pixel magnification. With Luke's I am mainly wondering if this blurriness is normal. the UI like menus and HUD including minimap are super crisp and easy to read. however, almost a haze across all the in-world graphics.
@@backpain100if you have low rez panels in your hmd then you will get low rez I use a varjo areo @just over 4k an eye and its indistinguishable between the visuals on my 4k tv

How is the ghosting effect with these on. I was never able to get it to run at a stable 90 fps even on lower resolutions. Is the ghosting gone when you have a higher frame rate? Thanks for the video! By the way I think the dip in the benchmark is due to vram being filled up, so they have to empty the cache to load the new scene.
I experience much less ghosting when I am able to achieve a high framerate. I sometimes struggle with framerates while driving in places with much traffic or many npcs
@@haldisvr As long as it's just sometimes. I also think you get more bothered by visual bugs when you test than when you actually play. Once you are sucked into the world and story you forget to look at it. I really hope you keep this series going. I recognize that VR mods are a very specific target group, but the tips you share are invaluable to the weirdos who want to play all games in VR :D
@@tiggerdyret No doubt. I think as long as you're keeping 60 to 80 fps you will forget about framerate once you stop watching framerate counters. Just need to hit that sweet spot with performance. Thanks man! Glad you like the content 😉
I have a problem with a window that pops up during gameplay. It is the window where I have the GPU/CPU status and Warnnings/Error. I have no idea where to turn this off. I am using HP Reverb G2.

So. Many. Mods. Lol. Will this still allow me to play wirelessly on the Quest? If so, virtual desktop or Airlink work for you? Also do all these optimization mods still work together if you don't include the "Heavy" mod? (I'd really prefer thr moody environment of a night sky with the rain). Finally how does DLSS and Spacewarp best play into the mix (for example, better to target a locked 45-60fps and then DLSS/Spacewarp to 90-120fps thus allowing you to turn up the quality settings?)
@@haldisvr Hey! Wanted to thank you for all your help. I've been patiently waiting for the GPU Gods, VR spirits and Time crystals to align to play Cyberpunk for the first time while in VR. All your knowledge about modding made it a incredible experience! I was locked at 72fps (not 90fps) with roughly about 80ms on a high wattage mobile 3080. I did notice what looked like ghost/double frames when I walked fast and some but not all lines had aliasing issues despite following all of your directions in the video and even the extra optimization steps related to Nvidia cards. Also the overall image felt about 75% the resolution I'm used to in the Quest. I made sure to set it at 2430x2430 along with all of the other settings you recommended. Despite all this the HUD was also too large and pushed to the very edge of my FOV. These two things lead me to believe some kind of scaling is not correct. Anything you recommend I tweak further for these 3 issues?
Ps. Are you aware of a way to turn of my body in VR? I have a massive playspace available to me and would prefer natural walking half of the time but seeing my headless body across the room might create issues at some point.
@@haldisvr Alright. Will have to see of that causes issues when I start using my hands later on after changing my position. Wish there was at least a way for the body to snap back to the head's new position. The goal is to use a massive open playspace and just go for a Real walk in Night City. Anyway any insight/recommendations for the 3 other issues I listed above?
I had this installed and it was working. Stopped playing it for a while and tried to get back on and it won’t work. I tried to redownload the mods but I have no “cyberpunk2077.exe” I’m very confused
I think when they major update cyberpunk it breaks the vr mod. You would have to get a newer/updated luke ross mod. Mine stopped working ages ago I’m gonna wait until the dlc comes out and then get LR update.

In my opinion your resolution setting is way to low to have fun with this game. But the rest helped me a lot

@@IrkenRob I'm seeing the blurriness too. I think it's actually normal. VR cannot look as good as the monitor, it still has quite a way to go.

Realconfig doesn't wanna open on mine. For some reason it says search for app on web to open this file
i have followed this over and over. the game crashes on launch no matter what i try. radeon 6700 XT. with the 9.7 version of luke ross.
mine just launches on pc and not in vr what do i do i have cyberpunk on epic games
it shouldn't matter what store you bought it on, i bought it on GOG and it works

I am not sure about that. I would ask Luke Ross. Sounds to me like it is ghosting. Luke is working on the ghosting in AER
The Config Overhaul mod brakes the aim zoom, it makes it 2d.
i only get 2d zoom with snipers for some reason
Have you been able to get the VorpX standalone version to work on CP2077 v1.52? Seems like it was broken after v1.5 was updated.

I'd join as patreon if Luke Ross was already up to speed with VR for the 1.6 release. Can anyone say if his vr mod will work with the current release? I found an older vr mod released for the cyberpunk 1.32, but of course it wouldn't work with 1.5.
Do you believe this would be playable with 1650 graphics card with potato settings?
Depends on how potato your rig is. I was able to play it with some pretty sh***y specs. Both on a laptop and on a stationary PC

help please, i have NVIDIA GTX 1650 S, nothing to do with cyberpunk yes? im run with 1920 x 1080 resolution, that sucks in my oculus ques 2.
Recomment trying 1630x1630. If that is laggy, start lowering resolution again.

You find the game folder. Think it is in program files - epic games - cyberpunk2077. Then follow allong from there

@@Xexou You can use the quest and hook it up to the PC. I was using Virtual Desktop. But that is not needed.
So. Many. Mods. Lol. Will this still allow me to play wirelessly on the Quest? If so, virtual desktop or Airlink work for you?
Also do all these optimization mods still work together if you don't include the "Heavy" mod? (I'd really prefer thr moody environment of a night sky with the rain).
Finally how does DLSS and Spacewarp best play into the mix (for example, better to target a locked 45-60fps and then DLSS/Spacewarp to 90-120fps thus allowing you to turn up the quality settings?)
I prefer Link. It is smoother than VD. Everything should work together. I play with DLSS, but would not recommend space warp
@@haldisvr Hey! Wanted to thank you for all your help. I've been patiently waiting for the GPU Gods, VR spirits and Time crystals to align to play Cyberpunk for the first time while in VR. All your knowledge about modding made it a incredible experience! I was locked at 72fps (not 90fps) with roughly about 80ms on a high wattage mobile 3080.
I did notice what looked like ghost/double frames when I walked fast
and some but not all lines had aliasing issues despite following all of your directions in the video and even the extra optimization steps related to Nvidia cards.
Also the overall image felt about 75% the resolution I'm used to in the Quest. I made sure to set it at 2430x2430 along with all of the other settings you recommended. Despite all this the HUD was also too large and pushed to the very edge of my FOV. These two things lead me to believe some kind of scaling is not correct.
Anything you recommend I tweak further for these 3 issues?
Ps. Are you aware of a way to turn of my body in VR? I have a massive playspace available to me and would prefer natural walking half of the time but seeing my headless body across the room might create issues at some point.

@@haldisvr Alright. Will have to see of that causes issues when I start using my hands later on after changing my position. Wish there was at least a way for the body to snap back to the head's new position. The goal is to use a massive open playspace and just go for a Real walk in Night City.

I had this installed and it was working. Stopped playing it for a while and tried to get back on and it won’t work. I tried to redownload the mods but I have no “cyberpunk2077.exe” I’m very confused
I think when they major update cyberpunk it breaks the vr mod. You would have to get a newer/updated luke ross mod. Mine stopped working ages ago I’m gonna wait until the dlc comes out and then get LR update.
