Thanks for comparison. Side note though, a smaller heat sink isn’t going to make the cpu produce more or less heat. The cpu will product the same amount of heat and a smaller heat sink will exchange that heat with the ambient air at a lower rate than a larger heat sink.
I've bought the DC Z9 since it has the highest thermal conductivity specs among all available over the counter. Lucky I got the best performing one in the real world.
DC Z9 is being offered cheaper than the TG Kryonaut. Should I go for the cheap DC Z9 or the Expensive TG Kryonaut? And will I be ripped off if I purchased the DC Z9? I'm planning to use it on my gaming laptop. Which would you refer?
z9 in Brazil is so cheap. amazing to see a product high quality with honestly price. kryonout 1.0g - 15$, GC Gelid Extreme by PCyes - 3.5g 14$, CM Master Gel Maker 4.0g - 15,78$ and Z9 Deepcool 7.0g - 9,54$
Thanks for introducing me to an absolute winner hy810, i google there there is another one call hy880 which performs slightly better according to some reviewers, it also priced very similar.
i had Master Gel Maker and used it on my builds and my GPUs (2 x 1080 Aorus) and Thereadripper 1950X OCd to 4GHz) , and on many friends builds, and again on my threadripper, as had to RMA my H115i. Now I upgraded to 2 X 2080Ti (Zotac Amp Extreme) and had to change for those, now I have nothing to replace the stock one, and both Master Gel and TG is out of stock.. Now waiting for the stock.
Another battery of tests with Thermal Adhesives would be great and very useful for components which cannot have screws pressing down the heatsink, like SSD or vram
Wow, HY810 is a revelation, theoretically not as good though... >4.6 W/mK vs 8.5 W/mK for the MX4 There is also HY880 which is better than the 810, and depending on supplier, not much more expensive. For one project that I consider thermal critical, small contact patch of a naked core and a laptop cooler, I went for Prolimatech PK-2, as that was about 10W/mK. But I think I may stock up on a tube of HY880 for the routine stuff, as 1.5g of PK-2 is not going to go very far.
Wow thanks so much for doing this comparison. So informative and useful. I was looking into using Thermal Grizzly Conductanaut Liquid Metal in a brand new laptop. Would you use LM in a laptop?
Thanks Rick! Your review is exactly what I was looking for - now that's one less problem / headache for me. I guess the only issue with reviewing these things is that you don't know how they will fare over time. One paste that works well for a few days, might have seriously deteriorated after a few months. Ah well, I can cross that bridge when I come to it ;0) cheers JB
@@MapleSyrupGamingandTech yeah it was decent... unfortunately all of them were out of stock i got deepcool g40 finally because the only one in stock...so it was Champlain lol
Sorry this is a very old video channel has changed a lot unfortunately I don't do PC content anymore but if you need any info I build regularly. Have a great one.
wow, you erased all my doubts about Z9... my brother gave it to me so i dont have to spend on some expensive stuff...but im applying it on a laptop and theres a lack of review about it...keep up...subbed
Those idle temps under load would show the difference better.

Grizzly Kryonaut vs cooler mastergel pro Which is better?

What would you recommend for a PS4 gaming console and an Xbox one s
any paste is generally fine
consoles are more simple
Hi..
is GC Heat Sink Compound z9 is good for cpu ?

You should try GD900

In Indonesia is less than 7 dollar xD
Kindly please review Deepcool G40.
A very well done comparison
Good vid. Never think of paste, just slop it on.
check out the gd900 and kingpin kpx

Apparently the 880 is MUCH better
wish ic diamond 24 carat was in this list, been wanting to see the performance differences between kyonaut and ic diamond 24 carat.
No gd900? Its very cheap and 1c cooler than mx4
Great way Really good Thanks , now if in th e3 high end which is better to apply, how much lasts, and how behaves in high end temps
im getting 96 c temps in my gaming laptop, would as5 or arctic mx-4 bring it down any?
supposedly yes
yes 96c is fuckin bad
your laptop needs new paste

you should add Gelid GC Extreme to the test
yep been using it for a few years now. awesome stuff.
What about Wigbow ice mountain 1? Is it crap? Lol
Another battery of tests with Thermal Adhesives would be great and very useful for components which cannot have screws pressing down the heatsink, like SSD or vram
Due too higher intolerances during soldering compared to a DIE, its more effective for Chips and RAM to have heat pads rather than paste!
The deepcool z9 is sold here for about 6.79 USD.
Thanks man. This video actually helped A LOT...
GD900 Rocks too
next time put some specs of the pc in the description
I would like to see HY810 (4grams $1 USD) VS GD900 (30grams under $4 USD).

thanks. i think i'll buy mastergel maker, its 50% cheaper than kryonaut over here.
Thanks for the video, really help to get a general overview about thermal paste.
@Philalethes GD900 all the way!:)

Too risky. Only go for it if you have cash to splurge.

Nikko Arnado it's not worth it ... You will have to clean and reapply it every 6 months to be safe
GD900 vs HY880
I have deepcool z9 and mastergel maker.
La Z9 es mejor que otras mucho mas costosas
es z9 es la de deepcool esta bro? www.pcfactory.cl/producto/26124-pasta-termal-z9-3g
