My mom passed of breast cancer when I was a kid. After she had her stroke, things started to confuse her a lot more frequently. One day for school lunch, she accidentally made me a ham and cheese sandwich with Mayo on cinnamon raisin bread. We had a good laugh about it, and she told me that in 5th grade I was old enough to make my own damn sandwiches from then on. Too true mom, too true. Thanks for reminding me of that memory! I think it’s time to make a loaf.

Your bread always looks so amazing, and holds its shape when you take it out of the banneton. I’ve been trying for months and mine always flattens out!!
That loaf looked so good I finally got around to making cinnamon, raisin, walnut bread that my husband has been requesting. I make all of our bread anyways so it was pretty simple to take my usual sandwich loaf and turn it into a sweeter breakfast bread.

i'm starting my journey of bread baking :) i have to be careful about what tips i follow due to being gluten intolerant (which is why i wanted to make my bread in the first place) but if it ends up being trial and error at least i get yummy snacks out of it :)
Ive been dehydrating my own fruits (some i grew and some ive bought local) for about a year now and i simply use them in every. One of my favorite ways is to powder a fruit like blueberries or raspberries and add it into my bread dough then top with a lovely rosemary or sage, or for a sweet treat a cinnamon and sugar crumble.
I NEED THIS! I haven’t made the leap to sourdough yet. Still working on just plain old yeast bread. Bread making looks way easier than what it actually is or I’m probably over thinking it.

You should try adding saffron to the dough. Gives it a lovely colour and aroma.
My husband still loves fruit bread, and from time to time I like to combine Japanese milk bread with raisins and cinnamon to make a more decedent one.
I grew up with a bread machine but I love making my own bread without a machine. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Do a fridge proof, throw it in the fridge for 12 to 18 hours to proof and it holds it shape better

That loaf looked so good I finally got around to making cinnamon, raisin, walnut bread that my husband has been requesting. I make all of our bread anyways so it was pretty simple to take my usual sandwich loaf and turn it into a sweeter breakfast bread.
