Told my PCP about my excessive sweating and how I am never cold. I can sweat while standing in front of an air conditioner and I even sweat during the winter. Turns out I have low thyroid function and my PCP put me on Levothyroxine. Question, I do take Kratom in place of opioids for my bone issues. Will Kratom cause low thyroid function?
Hi Curtis, thanks for sharing the info, I've watched your videos and they're quite helpful. I was wondering if you had any feedback on my situation? I'm 48 year old guy, and been suffering what feels like low T for the last 3 or 4 years and been trying to get to the figure it out with blood tests / diet / supplements etc. Haven't really got the to the bottom of it. Out of 4 blood tests over the last 3 years the 2 middle blood tests I got TSH and free T3/T4 measured, 3 or 4 of the tests I also got free T, Testosterone and SHBG. The results from the 2 tests were for TSH = 1.79 miuL / 2 miuL, T4 Free = 17.1 / 16.9 pmoL T3 Free = 6.1 / 4.19. The T3 seems to have dropped the most between those 2 tests, but still listed as in healthy range. Free T was taken over 3 tests and were: 0.17 nmoL / 0.25 nmoL / 0.21 nmoL Total Testosterone was taken over the 4 full tests and were: 9.27 nmoL / 7.9 nmoL / 11nmoL / 10.1 nmoL It was going up to the 3rd test then dropping back down now. SHBG was taken over the 3 last tests and the results were: 22.7 nmoL / 23.1nmol / 28.3 nmol Bit of a jump up on the 3rd test. I did have issues wth metabolic disease and high urea and uric acid,, I also had high estroge, which is coming down but still borderline high; while the uric acid and liver and eGFR is better since I lost weight the urea seems to still be rising, so I wasn't sure if it was something to do with that as well, or a combination of things. Thanks for any suggestions 👍
The metabolic issue is going to be the biggest things I would recommend going after. That includes eating nutrient dense foods high in micronutrients and minerals which will have a big effect on thyroid and testosterone. The second thing is to be patient. This is where most people stumble

@AskCurtis Thanks for the reply, yes I'm on my weight loss plan and trying to get the rest off so that'll help towards the metabolic issues.
