Psalm 63
Psalm 63:9-11
David was able to stand with confidence and face this difficult situation with God’s wisdom and grace because of the priorities he had in place that deepened his faith in God.
What can I do to shift my focus, deepen my faith, and have confidence in God?
1. We must prioritize the spiritual discipline of seeking God. (Psalm 63:1-2)
a. Hear God's Word
b. Read God's Word
2. We must prioritize the spiritual discipline of praising God. (Psalm 63:3-5)
a. David is well-known for developing the spiritual discipline of outwardly praising God.
b. David is well-known for developing the spiritual discipline of praising God through prayer.
3. We must prioritize the spiritual discipline of meditating on the things of God. (Psalm 63:6-8)
a. Keep a journal of your devotion time.
b. Contemplate the nature of God, His attributes, and His goodness.
c. Keep a record of answered prayers.
d. Talk about what God is doing in your life.
e. Philippians 4:8
