The first girl group I stanned. Seeing them with their colourful jeans back in 2009 while I was so young made me want to be like them. Such a trip down memory lane. Now they’re doing their own thing, pursuing drama, solos, musicals and fashion. I’m very proud to say that I’m a SONE. SNSD really changed the game back then. Young girls going into an industry dominated by males and getting hate because they were women were just so empowering. Actually it's hard to pick a song from SNSD because almost all of their songs are iconic and they're active promoting both in japan and korea. Which all of their title track are always become a hit. Even their B-side are great. I mean, as expected from SM quality, no matter how you disappointed of them for some reason, you can't deny they have good production, one of the best in this industry.

My favorite Girls' Generation era is "The Boys". Dude, the performances, the outfits, the stages, the styles! It was *chef's kiss*! Missing Girls' Generation for years now. I've been a fan since 2008 and no other groups can replace them.
It was 2007 when I got trap in the kpop world & these girls brought me there. And I am forever grateful for giving me something to be happy with.
The first girl group I stanned. Seeing them with their colourful jeans back in 2009 while I was so young made me want to be like them. Such a trip down memory lane. Now they’re doing their own thing, pursuing drama, solos, musicals and fashion. I’m very proud to say that I’m a SONE.
SNSD really changed the game back then. Young girls going into an industry dominated by males and getting hate because they were women were just so empowering.
Hopefully, there’s something for us in August :) (their anniversary)

The producers of that song, duo known as E-Tribe, used the success from that song to form Happy Face Entertainment, which eventually brought us Dreamcatcher. Gee was released in 2009, so 2years after they debuted and SHINEE debuted in 2008 so they weren’t that known. SM put Minho in the GEE MV so that they can promote SHINEE
Wish you get to know more of them and their journey...stans say this all the time but they truly were a cultural reset, a cultural phenomenom they are called the text book for kpop. They won against boygroups when people didn't think girl groups could be as successful.The first and only female act to win the Album Daesang(Disk Daesang,album of the year). They held the record of more wins on music shows for a long time even though back then there werent as many music shows as nowadays. Gee was the most popular 2000s song on melon even though it was released in 2009. First Korean celebrity to have official postage stamps distributed by the Korea Post. They have all kind of achivements and are endless!

I really like you-two! I only show up on your Channel for SNSD reactions, but what I REALLY LIKE about you is that clearly you are artists yourselves, and that you communicate your passion not just for singing, or dancing, but for the overall performance, and your understanding of the nuances that make a real performance, as opposed to just a reproduction of an MV or studio track.
While you naturally mention vocals and visuals, you also talk about sound, staging, rehearsal, lighting, and the technical details involved, and the effort of performing and the energy and reward received from a live audience's reaction. AND you talk about the 'pop' or music industry in general, and in historical context as well. In short, technically I don't know much about music and singing, but I think I can recognize those who do, and those who translate their passion into actual performance, and who can provide a truly informed perspective on what for me, is just a pleasure to witness and enjoy, with far less thought and concious comprehension.
I guess the bottom line is, that as much as I appreciate SNSD, you have a deeper appreciations of them than I . And a deeper appreciations of those who AREN'T SNSD too---because, your knowledge and passion both for the craft AND the art...and the context of performance.

Actually it's hard to pick a song from SNSD because almost all of their songs are iconic and they're active promoting both in japan and korea. Which all of their title track are always become a hit. Even their B-side are great.

Reason why we love girls' generation is for their genuined friendship and bond. They worked hard to get to where they got for girl groups because they set the standards. Jessica's departure is controversial as no one knows exactly what happened. And what breaks my heart is how the girls were forbidden in speaking to her by SM which broke many of their hearts. I think you guys did a reaction to "Into the New World" Tokyo Dome of them crying for Jessica. But the song is a song about being hopeful and following your dreams which is a nice debut song and meaningful to the girls. The girls still support each other in their solo projects and all get together for birthdays (usually Tiffany's birthday since hers is close to their debut date)
