Gotta love someone who can turn a song about his jumpsuits into a hit. If u read the lyrics there r many references to sewing. Great band for real.

Josh has said Sacred the Thread is about his jumpsuits. So “sequins tripping on the light” is correct. 😊

All music recorded professionally in the past 30 years has some degree of auto tune

No way someone reacted to the same new live songs I’ve been listening to non stop 😭 I love these 2 songs so much. I know once the studios versions drop they will both be amongst my favorite GVF songs. I’d love for you to react to the whole album once it comes out.

Sacred the Thread is literally about Josh’s jumpsuits each of which are designed by Josh himself. He’s seen in some videos of him sitting with a yellow lined pad drawing He’s quite the artist I’m 80 and share my love of GVF together with my 14yo grandson The band’s fandom is ageless We’re seeing them in like 40 days at Mohegan Sun for our 2nd show Trying to win tix to Royal Albert Hall on July 14 Wish us luck 😅

Indigo Streak is absolutely fantastic These young men of GVF are the real deal. Self taught Raised listening to the blues via their parents’ vinyls Jake’s guitar skills have earned high praise from Joe Satriani Josh listened to and loved Aretha Franklin High voice too often? Nope!

"Sacred the thread" sounds familiar as the melody is resembling that of "mad world".

Sacred the thread. This song does something else where if it wasn't about clothes it may just change the word. Sacred the thread means a lot to me.

I know I'm not using the correct musical terms but I think with Indigo and Sacred the Thread (especially) the vocals are purposely flat notes...making it sound like Josh's voice has something wrong with it or he is really really missing the notes. I think the songs were written that way but if you didn't know, the songs may sound bad. And I've heard Jake say before they don't really practice much on their own because playing shows almost every night is practice enough and they learn how to fine tune the songs in their lives shows. I don't imagine many bands do that. GVT hits the road with the songs laid out the way they want them to sound from the start and just makes them better and better! And obviously the more confident everybody gets with their parts and especially Josh with his voice. In the few concerts they have done since these first few songs have come out you can really tell they are concentrating on fine-tuning Meeting the Master more than the others. The live festival videos that are out already sound better. Like you said, those 4 can arrange a song to make it sound like 6 or more musicians are out there...I LOVE that about them!! So far I like Indigo the best...Farewell is going to blow your socks off, lol. Hopefully they have something up their sleeves and the song doesn't mean what the words lead you to believe!! Anyway, I love your reviews and appreciation for each musicians individual talents as well as a whole. 👍🏻

Lol, most of us do, truthfully, but the weird thing is, after you know the words, you can hear them plain as day. Josh puts a very unique spin on his pronunciations while he’s singing…some love it, some not so much. I like it though, it makes it more interesting.

    • @king_supreme1102

@@gayle8153 that’s also true. The lyrics of this song were hard for me to understand at first. But after I read the lyrics you can hear it pretty clearly.

You think Josh has great vocals, then you need to listen to Dimash. The song SOS "live at the Slavic Bazaar. Dimash is probably the greatest vocalist on the planet...fact. You have to listen...you will be transformed.
