Thank you so much! This is an excellent stretch to paddle. Be sure to check the USGS water gauge in Ridgway before you head out- this section can get pretty shallow (especially in the hotter/dryer months) and having to get out to drag your boat every 50 yards is a special kind of awful. Other than that it’s easily one of my top 5 paddles in PA. Enjoy your trip and thanks again for watching and commenting!
It’s easily one of my favorite kayak camping rivers in PA. It’s such an interesting river and the landscape seems to change with every bend of the river. Thanks so much for watching and subscribing! I have a big trip planned after I close on this house...mid April, so stay tuned!
In my (fairly limited) experience: as far as island camping in PA goes, probably the Allegheny River. There’s a group of islands called ‘The Allegheny Wilderness Islands’ that are all fairly large.
It is a Treo Chair. I have two of them and they both got holes in them where the seat supports enter the seat. I was able to sew one of them but haven’t gotten around to repairing the other one. Aside from that I’ve had no issues with them. Thanks for watching!
Dude this is incredible. About to take this trip in July. Awesome drone footage 🤙🏼

I did the clarion from Ridgeway to Cook state park. I can't wait to go back and do it again.

Did you happen to check out the island right after Portland Mills? I was thinking of camping on it this summer, but only seen it on Google maps.
I don’t remember having passed it if I did. There’s a good many places to camp especially if you’re in a hammock
@@riversandridgelines342 Ok. Thanks. Yes we're both in hammocks.
Good video man thanks , looked like a lot of fun.
In your opinion, what river has the best islands to camp on?
