I lived in Charleston, SC in those days and was 12 years old. No Reds affiliated station, of course. At night under certain conditions I could just barely pick up the Cincy radio station, mostly static but just enough to track the game.
Me to ,lived in Orlando fl. Loved when the reds would go out west. Wlw.700 came in clear.

Brennaman's work here is comparable to Al Michaels' work in 1972 NLCS game 5, though there is a bit less drama here since the Reds were just trying to sweep the Phillies. But two fantastic calls to be sure.
The funny thing about this is that Michaels was calling the game for ABC with Tom Seaver!
