The holy spirit dwells inside of you and searches all the deep things of God. God is the greatest power of all. He will never forsake us. We shall fear no evil. God is alive, not just following a book of rules. In Buddhism, it is following a way of life. Be a good person, life is suffering, desire causes suffering, to end suffering, end desires. Bad things n good things happen because of Karma in this life or previous life. From my experience growing up Buddhist, when there is a spiritual threat or haunting, there is no authority, just requesting spirits to leave or feeding the hungry ghost. There's no greater power.

I was raised Catholic and I can thank enough the day I encountered Buddhism and Eastern philosophy. Like everything in America, this type of organization are nothing but a gospel of wealth.
Buddhism is not about salvation, it is about accepting the inevitability of life and death and being okay with it. The Buddha himself rejected the idea that he was God or even a saint. Those who are in desperate need to save themselves from the inevitability of death need look elsewhere to another faith that promises the impossible. Those who desire life after death still fear death.

Yet the biblical doctrine (god?) says that _not being convinced_ is the worst sin of all, something that'll have you punished horridly forever, even. You'll pray for me? Why? What's the use of asking god, a perfect being that can't ever be wrong, for stuff? If this god decided to stay hidden for me, this must be for perfect reasons, so why would he reconsider, just cause someone prayed for it? Buddhism is not about salvation, it is about accepting the inevitability of life and death and being okay with it. The Buddha himself rejected the idea that he was God or even a saint. I'd say you can't, cause believing something as true; to be convinced of the truth of something ISN'T a choice. We instead just find what we're presented with (like the bible) convincing, or we don't.
In that same way I can't just decide to find something convincing when I don't. It's not something I can help.
Yet the biblical doctrine (god?) says that _not being convinced_ is the worst sin of all, something that'll have you punished horridly forever, even.
You'll pray for me? Why? What's the use of asking god, a perfect being that can't ever be wrong, for stuff? If this god decided to stay hidden for me, this must be for perfect reasons, so why would he reconsider, just cause someone prayed for it?
(but don't bother, cause: if god decided to make his existence apparent to me, and he indeed turns out to be the biblical god, I of course wouldn't be an atheist anymore, but I wouldn't start worshiping this deity either (unless out of fear, of course), and I wouldn't be able to enjoy myself in heaven anyway, knowing what my host is having done to 99,99% of humanity, right next door. I'll happily go to hell, knowing that I'm more moral that the god who invented the place.
