I respect her conversion , since it's her individual right. But she'd been wrongly persuaded that only if she does all rituals, god accepts her prayers (in Hinduism). Nothing like that, Lord Krishna says, that he needs only complete surrender, nothing else. Whatever relegion you follow, you need to surrender completely. After all God is One. Every relegion follow certain rituals as per their custom. But nowhere in Hinduism it's been said, you'd get god's blessings only if you follow certain rituals.

From what I have noticed, the more religiously orthodox you are, the more easy it is to convert a person into another religion. I recently got an ultra-orthodox Brahman girl converted to Christianty. The girl said that she was following all the Brahman traditions religiously because her parents told her to do so and she did so without any questioning.

Forced conversions are wrong in Christianity, however there are certain groups or churches that engage in such activities. The catholic church strongly condemns forced conversions. There is no use converting to Christianity for money or food because being a Christian requires you to follow Christ.

Start with repenting of your past sins and asking Jesus to enter your heart and forgive you of your past deeds. Jesus said "Repent and beleive in me".
Secondly, ask Jesus to give you wisdom and fill you with the spirit of God to guide you.
Thirdly, read the new testament which details the life of Jesus and allow God's word to touch you. You can then read the old testament as well to know the complete Bible.
Christianity is a personal relationship with God. So, talk to God and allow him to speak to you.
Finally, find a good church which practices sound Christian doctrine. Don't get too confused with denominations and all. Denominations are invented by man and not God. As long as the church follows the Bible, the church is good. Once you find the church, get baptized in water which signifies the new life you will have in Christ and how he has washed away your sins.

From then on, the person is cleansed from his sins and is holy in God’s eyes.
