This was so helpful. I have been struggling because everything goes great until the day I have to cook it. I literally have little to no eyes. I'm excited about your next video. I definitely need to add more water. My cousin used to make injera for my aunt's shop but has been struggling to help me over Facetime. I keep killing my batter somehow. Thank you so much!
I have a video on here. Basically put the injera and water in a tight sealed jar and let it ferment for about 2 weeks similar to sour dough bread starter. I hope that helps ◡̈
This exact one I got from my aunt and I think she purchased it from a local store. However, something similar you can find on Amazon. I linked it on the front page of our account. ይህ ከአክስቴ ያገኘሁት ነው እና እሷ ከአገር ውስጥ ሱቅ የገዛችው ይመስለኛል። በአማዞን ላይ ተመሳሳይ ነገር ማግኘት ይችላሉ። linkun yenga page lay adrigawalew 😊
am just back from Ethiopia and Eritrea after 6 months holiday and here I am orady craving for enjera so hard to make it at home after all these months eating out at family’s house even buy it here we go again the struggle start to make it I feel so lazy 😂
@@iniblahyou forgot to say the flour is made from teff. Teff is a tiny little seed (AKA seed grain). I used to boil teff seeds (not the flour) and make a breakfast porridge. It had a bit of a chocolate taste to it. It is high iron.
Sis, I have been looking for this video since watching your shorts. Thank you, for the step by step guide.
You're welcome Sis! I hope you find it helpful. This is just step 1 so I'll post the other steps as well. 💖

How do you prepare the first batch of ersho if you don't have someone to get some from?

Ethiopian here, who makes injera bread every week.
One suggestion : hand mixing is way easier to avoid clumps
Thank you. I've used my hands in the past. I also use my mixer. It really depends on which mood I'm in.
Thank you for sharing!! loved every bit & thank you for mentioning the struggle lol (I feel better to know, I am not the only one that struggles)
Aww, you're definitely not alone in the struggle! People back home may not know but we know lol So glad you enjoyed it! 🌟♡

It is better to use your hand instead of whiskey.
I've used my hand in the past but it takes longer for the little clumps to come out.
