On our positive mental health show, we’ve featured many types of addictions, but this show focuses an addiction that is understated but can certainly lead to many problems in general and that can cause a lot of anxiety and stress. And that is being ‘addicted to shopping’!
Addiction according to the NHS Choices website is defined as:
“…not having control over doing, taking or using something to the point where it could be harmful to you. Shopping becomes an addiction when you buy things you don't need or want to achieve a buzz. This is quickly followed by feelings of guilt, shame or despair.”
Chrissy’s guests include Serena Loderick, who shares why she got addicted to shopping and Psychologist, Dr Audrey Tang who gives the low down to this obsession, and how it can mentally affect us.
The Chrissy B Show airs on SKY 203 every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10pm in our cosy living room studio in the heart of London.

I completely understand. I've also had my struggles with shopping and I've come up with several unique solutions to compulsive shopping on my LinkedIn page. Check it out: www.linkedin.com/pulse/alternatives-shopaholic-sharlot-eisentraut/ ...what do you think?

Very judgemental presenter and guest speaker. Maybe you don’t have a shopping addiction but if you’re going to speak about mental health issues have some sensitivity. Definitely don’t call mental health decisions bad. Not professional and as a journalist the research was rubbish.

      Thought the same ...
"Do you like shopping ?" "Naaaah. And you ?" "Naaaaaah". Okay, now let's talk about the sick people ...
Hey no wonder you have so little subscribers.

Lot of excuses sounds like to me. Sounds like my GF. Makes excuses for her food "addiction" and spending "addiction." When I discuss financial advice she explodes like an addict.
