I do really like that you decided to dive into this topic; I genuinely can't afford to risk my health, and honestly you encouraged me to not take those chances! Even through the temptation of buying cheap products just to grow my collection, you kept me strong with your knowledge ✨️ thank you for your content Paola ❤
I decided to start doing my own nails July of last year. I bought some cheap colors off Amazon but thank God I started watching videos like yours before actually starting. I returned everything back to Amazon and start buying quality items. I’m also very careful when I work on my own nails because I really don’t want allergies. It has been doing good for 6 months. Hoping it continues.
I have an air purifier that gets itself all worked up when there is “stuff” in the air, like during fire season, when I file hard gel off, or when I vacuum. It gets worked up when I use nail polish, acetone, and sometimes rubbing alcohol.
I started using an Amazon gel named Vishine and it worked for awhile but a few months ago, I noticed that my cuticles starts to get itchy so I stopped using this product. What brand of gel nail polish could I use that would not cause this reaction or cannot use gel nail polish ever again? I like how fast gel nail polish dries. Any recommendations for brand names that I could use that may not give me allergic reactions.
There are consequences to developing an allergy beyond not being able to use nail products ever again. Your dentist will have to figure out what you can tolerate if you need a filling and some surgical treatments will also be limited.
Absolutely. This was a time consuming video for me, but I just can't tolerate the amount of DIY content of just "figuring out gel nails" by yourself and hoping and praying for no allergies anymore. Pro products are for trained used, and there are other (as in the video) safe, quicker, "cheaper", safer ways to do your own nails if you do not want to train in gel nails (or acrylics, etc.).

I'm working on a video about protection to yourself when DIYing your own gel nails. In the pipeline.
Also watching your videos have helped along the way
Thank you for this video. I recently started doing my own nails and was tempted to buy cheaper products
