I really appreciate that you did the hard work and took the time to a) Put this video together, b) Provided the recommended / suggested sites., and c) Didn't sugar-coat how one could accomplish any of these 'Passive Income Streams.'
Stock footage: It's not just a matter of uploading and that's it. You have to enter accurate metadata, captions and keywords, for each and every clip so buyers can find it.
The rental thing is tough if you don’t have an actual “filmmaking community” nearby, just FYI. I’ve had some G&E listed on Sharegrid for a while now with no hits. There’s a pretty robust community a couple hours west but where I’m at is pretty much a dead zone.
I get bored then dress up only to take it off. Haha! Bought clothes just for this purpose, then I started buying stocks, guess buying things makes me feel good. Making passive income from my investments in stocks makes me feel as good as wearing new clothes. hahahaha
So how does that code generate you an income whenever they use it for purchasing at the stores you're promoting,is it linked to your bank, how?if a film competition offers a winning entrant an opportunity for thei movie to be produced would that add to passive income?
Due diligence is the best 'First Step'. Turn over every stone in your area, location, or municipality before assuming anything. Peruse 'Terms and Condition' forms associated with any site, person, or organization you're planning on getting involved with BEFORE you pull the trigger. Remember, 'Everything is Legal, until you piss the wrong person off.'
I love your videos. There is some great information for amateur filmmakers, but I just wonder why it take so long to get the information I am looking for. It seems like the first five minutes in the video you just repeat the same thing over and over. Give us the information, move on. Sometimes if I am on location, I don’t have 13 minutes to watch a video, in fact I usually only have 5 minutes and I’m watching you over describing what the video is about.
"you can put up what you just shot for a client" Are there legal issues with this? e.g. Does the client 'own' the material since they paid for the shoot? or is it just a matter of not using the exact clips you sold them?
If the client is paying for the end product and not the footage you shot. As long as the actors and persons in the footage have signed a release you can sell the footage.
No, everything you need to know, you can learn for free on TH-cam or other websites. The hands on part of learning you can do yourself, with people you know, or helping out other peoples' film projects. You can also learn a lot simply by watching movies/TV/music videos and paying attention to what and how they are doing things on screen.
I've heard that the most valuable thing people get from film school is connections. It also depends on your learning style. College has you working on sets a lot of the time, while you need to arrange it yourself if you learn by yourself. You have courses to go to like any college. But if you are independent and are making connections without college it's not worth it obviously.
start yt chanel? lol. the algorith not let you grow mate, if you uploding videos nobody gonna find your video unless you promot your self everywhere else. lots of rain video on yt get million views. i uploaded one, and 5 views after week. thimes has changed you can not start youtube chanel now. content everywhere, and u watch only the ebst, peter and all big youtubers why would you watch small and not that professional.

I’m wondering, which video production service is the most profitable when taking into account production and post-production time? 🤔
Almost all of these basically require you have at least a mid sized following
Agreed
5:26 *I totally agree!*
Sir put a video for pre production production and post production ( the whole filmmaking process

This is cute…
If it is no stress, shed more light on your investment portfolio, I’m looking at making passive income too
That’s fine. Invested $60k and I’ve made over $300k. My investment portfolio is handled by an amazing financial advisor, Mary Margaret Carter.
Nice! How can I connect with your financial advisor?
Just run a search on her name, and you would see all you need.
I'm really learning more from you guus. I've watched all your 71 vedios and I still need more
Why would I color grade the stock footage? Is it better to leave it in Log for the buyer to grade themself?
I put a very gentle color-grade on there. Just to make it a little bit more appealing yet leaving room for whoever is downloading to grade themselves.
the goat Seth curl
I have a red Komodo with about $17k worth of accessories. I’m definitely going to rent out my camera. Didn’t know you could rent it out.
How do you get in contact to those smaller brands?
They'd ideally have websites with contact info..
Awesome, thank you!
Thank you so much!! Finally I have a idea how I can make money idle so I can work on my Filming skills
So tropic colour was created by you guys ? I have bought a bunch of their packs , they are great for Sony slogs and hlgs.

No easy rides everything takes time and work, however if you put the work in it shall pay you.
How do I ensure I got the rights for stock video or photos? Just ensure I don't include faces? Models and model release cost money

So I know this is more of a freelancer filmmaking channel but do you have any advice for filmmakers like me that want to be a Hollywood Directer?
You can monetize your films with matchpoint debut, they can get your film to the wide world of streaming. They're partnered with exeest
Thank you for these tips. I've been thinking of how I can sell my stock footages, I'll try the website out. Great job 👍

I worked like to know this answer as well

Does anyone recommend going to college for film? If so, what major?
No, and work as a grip to learn the trade.
