    As a Washington fan it was frustrating not seeing things work out here, but I still rooted for him to find success. I was happy that a team gave him a chance. Even if the NFL didn't work out for him, he had his whole life ahead of him and could've done great things in other ways. People gotta remember that under every helmet out there is a human.

      That's one of the main issues regarding the players nowadays. The fans and people all across America don't treat them like they're humans. Look at how the people did Kaep bro. Look at how they outright slandered and attacked black players when they dared take a knee to bring awareness to the fact our country has a glaring issue with equality. They burned their brand name shoes, clothes, tires, even boycotted the NFL entirely and burned all of their own jerseys etc. all to make a point that these players would "stand in line" like they own them.
      A lot of these guys put their health and mental state on the line to entertain us for a large majority of the year and unfortunately a vast majority of the people benefiting from them don't give them the respect they deserve, and it's kinda sad.

    This happens WAYYYY too often down here on 75/95 in Florida... not just over in Miami... not just football players... lots of people have died because of leaving their vehicles while on the shoulder of the highway. Heartbreaking.

    • @Tenskwatawa4U
      @Tenskwatawa4U 2 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      Americans in particular seem to have extraordinary difficulty accepting unexpected deaths. We're born and we will die, and we know not the day and hour of our death. Memento mori (Latin for "remember that you will die"), and live each day as if it might be your last. This doesn't mean you should try to pack every experience possible into each day - that would be insane. Just try and make it count. Be kind and compassionate. Don't get mucked down in trivialities. Try not to do something you'd regret in your last dying moment. That moment will come; don't try and escape the inescapable.

    My heart goes out to everyone involved. Anyone who has experienced loss knows the pain doesn’t just go away and with my personal experience, a lot of the time it truly doesn’t seem real and can take awhile to skin in.
    When someone passes away that you love it can truly feel like a bad dream and something that’s not real. It’s like you’re just waiting and wanting to wake up and almost numb to what’s truly happened at first. I truly hate to hear of anyones passing but especially hate to hear about those that were so young and lost the opportunity to truly experience life to the fullest. T’s and P’s for everyone!!! Tell the ones you are close with that you love them as much as possible and try to remember any day can be your last so do your best to make the most out of every moment and spread the love because life is short and it’s best to be remembered as an amazing loving person than an asshole. Much love! ❤️💯

    Yo at first when I saw the news. I honestly thought it was a sick type of joke. Until more reports came in then it really started to set in. Man this is a huge blow for the Steelers and his family. 24 years old is way to young to die. May he rest in peace such a talent he would have been. May he rest in peace. Celebrating his life is the best way to honor someone.

      @R J He was gonna compete for the starting job but let's just completely act like he's not a human that works around others most of the year. God forbid they feel some type of way when a coworker dies regardless if they're a starter or not. Have some empathy bro and grow up, it'll do you wonders.

I was hoping to see him compete for the starting job, until we signed Trubinsky I thought he was the heir apparent to Ben.

    It costs ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to be compassionate. No matter the situation.....you never know what someone else is going through. You lose nothing by empathizing with your fellow human. And actually you will find a new love for the world and all its inhabitants. This is a real kind of power.

    Why are people so obsessed with the way people react to things? If you don't like the way the guy responded then just call him a scumbag and call it a day. Why are we talking about it so much? This guy's reaction to the story has become bigger than the story itself.
