You said the VOID lid will fit both BlendTec and VitaMix. I'm confused. The website shows the one for BlendTec (just the lid) for $199 and another item called VitaMix Complete Retrofit Kit for about $100 more. I don't need a new carafe but just want the lid. I have a VitaMix 5300 and the opening is round, Not square. Which item do I need to get? Thank you for this valuable info!
I have one and it is great. One tip- when making smoothies using powdered proteins, herbs, etc., put those additions into the MIDDLE of the shake before blending. This is because the vacuum pump in the lid would otherwise naturally suction them through the lid. By alternating layers of ingredients and keeping the powders off the top level, you will enjoy VOID vacuum blending. Thanks, John for sharing this tip in future videos.
@@caginbob Hi, Banger805. I got my VOID about a year ago and used it for a few months really liking it. As I said, if you add all your fruits and veggies, nuts and seeds FIRSTLY, and the add protein POWDERS and HERBS on TOP, the powerful vacuum will suck those right up into the lid of course. Then a musty smell would occur so I would just run the lid under the sink tap while ON and let it clean out the lid. That eventually messed up the electronics in the VOID lid. Conner at the factory was very nice about it and I need to send it to them to fix. New technique: put in water and powders AT THE BOTTOM 1st, then add produce on top and should not suction powders into the lid. This is likely going to happen on any other vacuum blender. As I said, liquid and powders 1st should let you always enjoy vacuum blending. As John Kohler says, it IS a gamechanger for freshness and taste vs. ordinary blending.I hope his TriBest DynaPro mfr of his favorite vacuum blender DEVELOPS A SOUND ENCLOSURE. Both VitaMix and Blendtec and a few others have.
I've purchased the VOID Vacuum blending retrofit kit for my Vitamix and will be trying it out for the first time today. (Yes, I charged the lid). Do I understand correctly the following steps after filling the blender: 1. Press the GO button and allow it to run til it hits 17 or 18 2. Turn off the vacuum (per someone in the comments who said to do this or it ruins the internal vacuum hardware) 3. Blend 4. Pull up the red tab to release the vacuum, remove lid and pour I'm wondering if I need to do any pre-programming, and if so, how? Also, what does the button to the left of the GO button do (looks like a fast forward symbol)? Thank you so much!
I bet if they did, it wouldn’t be backwards compatible. 😒. I love my vitamix but they don’t think about the customers who have older versions. For instance their single serve solution for older models is ugly and I think slapped together. But that’s just my opinion/thoughts.
Fantabulous! Ordered it with your discount code just now, thank you John. Alas, I have been waiting YEARS for Blendtec to make this, I even wrote them letters, oh well their loss. Woohoo VOID!!! Thank you VOID for making a vacuum lid for those of us that have a different blender brand.
The Blendtec vacuum kit is on their UK site as an option for either Blendtec or Vitamix blenders. It says that it's not available in North America due to high demand and global parts shortages. Ridiculous.
@@Spinelli__ The blendtec Vaccuum Blending kit was released in the USA for a week and maybe sold 200 units and then discontinued. It is no longer available. I have confirmed that blendtec USA is no longer making this product. So unless Blendtec UK is manufacturing it on their own (which I doubt) this product is basically discontinued at this time.
Thank you , for this video! I didn't want to dish my vitamix, but wanted to go vacuum, this is a perfect solution!! Also really appreciate the time and expertise you put into your videos!!
Hey John, I started using vacuum blending after watching your videos. I have been using one daily for over a year now. I really appreciate your videos and the information. I got to tell you, you want to turn the vacuum pump off while blending. It is going to suck moisture into the pumps on that system. It is a warranty hassle waiting to happen. Also as mentioned in other comments, if you put protein powder, cinnamon, maca powder, beet powder, ect.. and have that on when the blender starts, it is going to suck the powder into the lid, add some moisture and you are going to damage a very expensive vacuum pump. With the influence you have I would ask them to include in the program settings a way to set the pump up to not run during blending, should be something they could add to the firmware. Also that release valve is not in a very ergonomic place for releasing the vacuum while removing the lid. Eventually you are going to get water on the top of the lid and or in the vacuum ports when washing, there is no way to avoid it, that can only lead to problems, the pump really needs to be separate from the lid for cleaning purposes. I see the convenience of not having multiple components, but this is going to be a problem long term. To me it almost looks like planned obsolescence. Keep making the videos and bringing us new information and products! Thank you!

You are so welcome! I saw recently it came with a QR code (which I dont know how to use myself) I will recommend they continue to include a printed instruction manual.

Thanks John. You are my go-to for vacuum blending. My second Biochief carafe failed on me. I am so happy to see that there is a superior alternative product.
@rawfoods since you have connections, maybe tell the manufacturer to do another revision of the lid with some handle on top to just be able to pull it off easily when blending is done (40:20 min.)
What has your experience been? Do you feel that vacuum blended smoothies are superior to regular smoothies? Have you had any issues with the Void Blender?
@ I use it seldomly in vacuum mode. When I do it is for emulsifying things like oil and vinegar. I blend my smoothies on regular mode. The froth doesn’t bother me. I use it at work and at home I have a Vitamix.
Firstly John Love these kinds of Vids. I have a few questions 1. Will this be available I'm the uk? 2. How does the suction compare to the blendtec vacuum pump? 3. How comes you've never done a review on the Breville Super Q Vacuum blender? Thanks
1) you would need to contact void-system.com to see if they will ship to the UK 2) The Blendtec vacuum pump was discontinued and is not available for sale. I have not done a direct comparison at this point. 3) I believe the breville Super Q vacuum blender was discontinued and is not being promoted by Breville.
There are several vacuum blenders that include sound enclosures, including the Kuvings that I currently sell, and the Kuvings commercial coming out NEXT year (est price $2000). Also some other Chinese Imports that may not have good customer support/warranty service should they break. The Void-systems lid can be used the with Commercial Blendtec blender that has a sound enclosure to make it more quiet.
Thank you for informational videos! With an OLD Vitamix (VitaPrep VM0101, definitely not under warranty), would it be better to get the Void Lid & Container for the existing Vitamix base, or to get the whole Void Complete systems with their base? As the Vitamix base is very old and not under warranty. Couldn't find any specs on the the Void Complete Systems base.
Excellent video congrats. Two questions: (1) Does any air leak from the part below? I am worried that in such a case nasty stuff like lubricants will make their way in my juice. (2) Is there a blendtec jug with glass instead of plastic? We already have enough microplastic and a blender makes a lot as you can see from the scratches on your jar.
I am planning on getting a Vaccumm sealer for food. and I own a vitamix gifted +15 year ago and still working like new. That being said is there a just a lid that I can put on my vitamix container and use the vacuum sealer I'm going to get. Which just a lid by itself would be way cheaper.
YES! you can totally do that, and that would be a "safer" way to ensure long-term durability and easier cleaning of the vacuum pumps in the void lid. It does hold a seal well.
I bought one....ordered to canada and it has failed after 120 cycles last week.... returned it and will get it repaired now and i will try again. to me i do not see how the lid can possibly not suck in liquid into the pump due to it sucking throughout the blend cycle... and that generally liquids splash to the top and touch the vacuum holes. there should be some valve or protection from this. in a way the company is still working out some issues it would seem still.... although they mention that they will do a free upgrade on mine this time. i'm actually quite demoralized with vacuum blending after getting so screwed about by tribest with so many issues with their machines motor failures and blades loosing their seal many multiple times, and now issues with this one too. John why don't you just design your own that is just a hand pump with no parts to fail. done. :) regardless, thanks for your videos. you have certainly inspired myself and many others to get super into juicing....
Many vacuum blenders you can use a manual pump, such as the tribest dynapro and even the biochef carafe. I have used it with my favorite "pink pump" to pull the initial vacuum. I found it important to NOT overfill your blender carafe when blending with the void-systems lid. As it will suck liquid thru, which the lid has been designed for, and should not be damaged. That being said, avoiding sucking foods thru the lid would be best.
@@discountjuicers honestly my favorite device right now is the omega nc800 red colour. by chance they mislabeled it on amazon as a 5th generation machine and sold it as discontinued for 200US$ and I am enjoying it so much for batch juicing every day with fermentation lids for the whole day.... all the best john. and thanks in a way the dynapro gets a much more powerful and smooth blend than blendtec... and has the best warranty (unless you live and travel internationally outside the warranty area like i do a lot)
YES, things can get sucked into the pump is you fill up the carafe too much or if it splashes too much. The VOID was designed to pump liquid thru the pumps without problem. I have done this many times, and I clean it by running water thru the pumps when washing at the sink.
In terms of vacuum strength- I have not tested. I would suspect they pull the same vacuum. In terms of vacuum time to pressure - the Void Systems lid is about 2x faster based on this test In terms of blending, I have no idea. I have not compared them yet.
I bought the lid and used your coupon code, Thank YOU! I am confused about how to blend and keep liquids from sucking up the 3 holes. I tried blending a melon. The melon was not that flavorfull so I wanted to blend it and run it thru a bag. ( I thought it would concentrate the flavor). I had the blendtec wild side half full. I pulsed it untill it was some what blended and put it on to a steady blend and it was sloshing up and getting on the lid. How are you to blend and not have thing get sucked up in the pump??? Thanks John for your informative and valuable videos. They have helped me in making the purchases of my 2 Omegas, the Void lid and my upcoming purchase of the NamaJ2.
Thank you so much John! You are truly amazing!! I've purchased the VOID Vacuum blending retrofit kit for my Vitamix and will be trying it out for the first time today. (Yes, I charged the lid). Also, what does the button to the left of the GO button do (looks like a fast forward symbol)? Thank you once again!!
Press go and see how high the number can get. Near the sea level I was getting more like 18, but when im home its like 17 usually. You can turn off the pump during blending, which will make cleaning easier and prevent liquid from going into the pumps. Otherwise that is it! You can pre-program the A B C options for preset vacuum levels, check the instruction manual.
Dont like foam or air in your smoothie? Turn it on and off a few times, from medium speed down to low speed, everytime you turn it off, air bubbles come to the surface. Repeat tell you get to the lowest speed and no more air bubbles come out. Takes some fine tuning, but you'll get there. You'll also get the vibrant colours without all the foam and air, just like a vacuum blender. I'm still not convinced blending under vacuum makes any difference, but getting air out of your smoothie sure does! Save a few bucks and do it yourself using the method suggested and the machine you have. Hey John, I would be curious to see you do a side by side comparison using this method of air removal I mentioned vs a vacuum blender.
Hey Scott, that is an excellent tip for sure, and will surely minimize bubbles/foam when blending in a traditional blender then just turning on the blender and letting it run. That being said, a vacuum blender sucks out the excess oxygen from the blender (both headspace and some from the liquid) before blending so that the LEAST amount of air is blended into your mixtures. It is a game changer, and until you have tried it and experienced vacuum blending, you wont really "get it". Every customer I have gotten to buy a vacuum blender has loved it, except one, that complained her smoothies taste too strong now.
What is the Void Systems blender base specifications? I cannot find this information on their website and want to know how the motor speed, torque, etc., compares to the Vitamix.
David, the void systems base is made in China. While it is quite powerful and my testing proves it. I am concerned about the long-term durability of the machine (due to the shorter warranty). I Would recommend buying a used vitamix motor and then getting the void vitamix kit instead of purchasing the void systems blender.
Hi John thanks for your videos much love these wondering if your any closer to reviewing the Kuving cb1000 commercial vacuum blender that you seen at the expo earlier in the year. Also wondering if the they do international delivery as I am in Australia....
Hi John, question ... Is it safe or advisable to make hot soups in a vacuum ... just asking because as you know the VitaMix is capable of such, but I'm curious if it would create high pressure and damage the vacuum lid??
How big is the carafe? I can't find the information anywhere. Also, the coupon DJ25 gives you $20.00 off, not $25.00. That said, a discount is a discount and I'm happy to support.
The carafe has a max capacity of 64 ounces. I recommend when vacuum blending it is only filled to 48 ounces. A computer glitch caused the DJ25 code to only give $20 off. This has been corrected. If you were only given $20 off, please contact void-systems and they are issuing the $5 refund to all those affected.
Hi John. I appreciate your videos, very informational and detailed. Now, I'd like to ask if there's still an option to make an ice cream in the vitamix with the void system? Looks like there's no way to work with the temper anymore so is it still possible?
John, thank you for your in-depth informative videos. I am not sure if you have shared this info, but I have a Vitamix blender. I just talked to customer service. If you use any after market products with theirs (i.e. the Void Systems vacuum lid) it voids the Vitamix warranty. People should know they try to do that.
I do generally like to share that using non-vitamix products on your vitamix MAY void your warranty. However there is the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act which states that on Cars when using aftermarket parts, that alone will not void the warranty. I am not sure how this affects this situation, so the best thing to do is to contact a warranty lawyer. www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/resources/businesspersons-guide-federal-warranty-law
@@discountjuicers Well all I can tell you is that I called Vitamix myself. II currently own a 5000 and they told me modification of their products will void the warranty. I am not going to hire a lawyer and take anyone to court. I have already bought a new commercia- grade blender (not VItamix) that has uses Titan non-bpa plastic and is already a vacuum blender.
Thank you for having this, I bought one with your discount code...because I trust you! What I can't find in the instructions, even though it mentions "below," it doesn't give instructions as to which number to use. How do we know what number to use for each thing, like smoothies, etc. It doesn't say in the little paper manual at all.
I personally recommend the highest number each time you blend. The higher the number the more that is expelled from the carafe, which means less dissolved oxygen and bloating as well as more nutrition. Depending on where you live in the world the pump may max out at 17 to 20, and wont go any higher. Once you determine the highest number the unit can comfortably get too, then I recommend blending each time at that number.
OMGosh….bought two instantly.....watched again...went and bought TWO more for Vitamix...Giving them as gifts to family and friend... E X C I T E D......Thank you! * After blending & putting in glass bottle(one perfect size for liquid in blender)...how long may I tell them it would be of great value in frig? One day...two? I want them to read it here...I can't get them to watch the videos …. Thanks much !
Once you vacuum blend, the blended mixtures will store longer than a non-vacuum blended mixture. Of course, to extend the life of the vacuum blended mixture, it is also best to vacuum save them in a mason jar with a lid and pump kit I recommend www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B65MDRTS I have no problem vacuum blending and vacuum storing foods in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Depends how you define "better". Vacuum Juicing IS better than the Nama J2 in terms of nutrition, and yield for sure, but requires much more labor. (hand squeezing) where as the Nama J2 is easier, load up the juicer and walk away. I personally own both, and use them both depending on the recipe and how much work I feel like doing. The Nama J2 can also produce juice MUCH faster than vacuum blending.
I have not tested the omniblend with this attachment. If your omniblend blender will work with a standard vitamix container (borrow a friends) then it should work.
It is a good unit, but it is being discontinued by Nuwave, that I confirmed when I met when them at a trade show in March 2022. I did have issues with parts falling into the blades while it was blending, which was not good.
@@discountjuicers Thanks John, I have one on order. They said they have no plans to discontinue it at this time so they must have changed their mind. I like how it's all built into one unit. I'll let you know how it performs!
When I saw this I was VERY interested in purchasing for my Vita-Mix however when I emailed the company and asked about the materials used for the container they told me it's polycarbonate and is NOT BPA-Free. :(
John, Another great video that helps us choose the best system for each individual. I just had a thought on what might be a good comparison to minimise processing time and total cost of equipment. At first the vacuum juicing seemed too much of a bother and time for the extra nutritional value. However, with a vacuum blender, one could both make smoothies and juices and avoid having to get a juicer at all. Another valid comparison would be the total processing time (including cleaning of equipment), to make a juice on the vacuum blender system vs a standard juicer. It may be that although the juicing on a blender system seems too time consuming, it may actually take less time given the usually long time it can take to properly clean a juicer.
Hi Leo, I toy with the same thoughts myself. There are pros and cons to using a stand-alone juicer or a vacuum blender. Some other considerations: some juice recipes can't be made when vacuum juicing (root heavy recipes). I think for single glass juices, the vacuum juicing technique could be a "wash" in the time it takes, but when bulk juicing, a juicer such as the Nama J2 would clearly be much more quick. In my video Best Juicers of 2022 I compare vacuum juicing to the best juicers out there th-cam.com/video/7ILENcNpVOw/w-d-xo.html and I show the times. The times may vary depending on what you are processing. Ie: fruits like I did here, will take less time than say celery that will need to be precut.
since I made this video, I have used the lid and vitamix carafe many times. The battery did discharge after about a month of use, and the lid is still working great. I recently took the lid and carafe on vacation to Puerto Rico to use it on my friends vitamix, where it worked without issue. I can pump down to 17 to 18 generally.
How does this kit compare to a consumer vacuum blender such as the Kuvings SV500? A Vitamix with this kit is more expensive in total than the SV500 here.
I have not compared this system to a SV500. However I have compared VOID to Dynapro at th-cam.com/video/P5kuLz8Oun4/w-d-xo.html and dynapro vs sv500 th-cam.com/video/NtFBzjq5lTw/w-d-xo.html
Hi John! Love your content and enthusiasm. Quick question, in the bio-chef video you talked about the carafe being BPA free, is this Void kit one BPA free? TY!
Wildside jar was not designed for vacuum. Will the vacuum pull bearing grease into the jar? Will the constantly running vacuum pump pull liquid into the pump while blending? Do you sell replacement lids for the Blitz Wolf?
From what I am aware, it really depends on when your wildside jar was made. I do know at some point, blendtec upgraded the seals so they can handle higher vacuum pressure. Yes, the pump will pull liquid thru if you fill the container too much. It is designed to NOT be harmed should it accidently pump liquid, but over-filling of the carafe should be avoided. You can also stop the pump from continuing to run once it reaches pressure if you desire, by pressing a button on the lid. I do not sell replacement parts. Please contact the manufacturer.
The Blendtec container seals around the blades seem to fail frequently (my 2 have and there's research into a class action suit around the issue). Given this, have you found that the vacuum system sucks seal oil/lubricant up through seal where it would normally leak out water?
Pulling a vacuum on any blender carafe can cause the seals in the carafe to fail prematurely, since most blender carafe seals are not designed to have a vacuum pulled on it. I would like to think that dedicated vacuum blenders are designed with this as a consideration. That being said, I visited blendtec, and learned more about the seals they use in their carafes, and I can say their seals are better than other seals out there to be more durable during vacuum blending than traditional seals on Vitamix or other brands. I also recommend NEVER to dishwash your blender carafe, that is the FASTEST way to blow out your seals, getting water in from the UNDERSIDE where the blender carafe seal is not designed to be waterproof.
@@discountjuicers Thanks. I'm working on repairing 2. Currently trying coconut oil. 1 seal is wobbly and leaky and oil doesn't help. Other blendtec container seal isn't wobbly but is leaky. Hot coconut oil into container then cooled and only blending cool things is working so far. I'm also hoping that the oil surrounding the seals may re-oleify them and further fix the issue.
Running the blender with the pump on ensures blended produce will get into the pump chambers. Manufacturer should greatly improve the fit of the lid, such that vacuum is not lost.
Each base has its own set of pros and cons. I believe the blender carafe is more important than the base, personally. The durability of the Blendtec & Vitamix Motors, I would say are far better than the VOID systems blender motor.
Greetings John, does this mean that this attachment along with the Blendtec blender replaces the Dynapro Vacuum Blender as your favorite vacuum blender now
The Commercial Auto Vacuum Blender CB1000 from Kuvings has been released in the EU. John Kohler talked about it in a video last spring. It has a price tag equivalent of almost 2,500 USD! 😵 Wishing for a good/high quality kit for my Vitamix to turn it into a vacuum blender. Not convinced that the kit from Void Systems is one such.
The Kuvings CB1000 should be released in the USA in FEB. The Retail will be $2000 but there will be a good discount when it is released, so subscribe to my videos and wait for my review in FEB.
You can only use the void TOP to seal small mason jars that fit INSIDE the blender carafe when it is OFF the blender. The VOID Lid is not compatible to seal stand-alone lids at this point.
This lid is only designed for the blendtec carafes and the void carafes that will fit classic vitamix models and the void vacuum blender. It will not fit the dynapro.
similar question a as james petterson below. 'cept mine works fine. how does the dynapro stack up to these AFTERMARKETS? i recall somewhere hearing you or tom dickson mention 20 inches of mercury or something as some sort of benchmark? did i screw that up? how does that translate here for vacuum.
Every Vacuum Blending solution has its own set of pros and cons. I have not compared the vitamix or void-blender carafe to the dynapro yet in terms of blending yet. That being said, this lid works on the blendtec blend that has a more dull blade, so the dynapro would blend better in terms of blending. The Void-Systems lid will pull a faster vacuum than the tribest vacuum pump, my estimate is 1/2 the time. So the question is does the dynapro blend better than the void systems carafe? I am not sure. I have not tested yet. My guess is the dynapro blends a little better, its made in S. Korea and the Void-Systems Jar is made in China, but the Void-Systems lid is made in the USA. This system for me pulls about 18 inches of mercury. Korean/Chinese Vacuum Blenders use kPa so you will need to convert inches of mercury to KPA. all good vac blenders pull 18+ approx
The biochef pump includes a plug-in AC adapter that is normally used. You can also put in Alkaline AA batteries to run the pump, that you will need to REPLACE when they are drained. The Void-Systems Lid has high-cost Lithium batteries (as found in your cell phone) so the lid can run on average 30 days until needing to be recharged wirelessly based on user feedback.
@@discountjuicers you said for travel that the Bio-chef would be a hassle with the adapter, I just wanted to point out that it will run on batteries. Yes there is no argument that Void systems is far superior.
@@algolfan1 I understand your point, by my point is that my parents have a blendtec blender at their house. All I need to do is bring the Void-Systems lid with me to their house, and I can vacuum blend. With the biochef kit, I need to bring the biochef carafe, biochef pump, and ac adapter (or have batteries in the pump). So that takes up considerably more space in my luggage when visiting my parents AND taking a blender carafe thru carry-on TSA is not allowed. So I still stand with my statement, as the void-systems lid easily goes thru TSA carry-on. I have done it many times!
I have not personally tested on the Omniblender, but I do own one. I do know the Omniblender can use Vitamix Carafes. If so then the Void-Systems Vitamix Kit should work on your Omniblender.
John, will the Biochef pump and lid fit the Vitamix Ascent series carafe? I'd like to get the Vitamix Ascent but there doesn't seem to be any vacuum options because of the chip in the carafe.
There are no solutions to vacuum blend in an Ascent blender unless you make your own. The biochef pump will not work with it. The biochef pump is designed only to work with the biochef carafe.
@@discountjuicers I have a Vitamix A3500accent smart blender gourmet attachment processor kit for a few months now, which is costly investment, before this I had bought a Explorian with accessories sitting on the shelf, and neither of the two vacuum pumps fit, which means I will now need to purchase another blender sadly, and I am shocked in finding out about vacuum pump attachments that Vitamix for some reason discontinued, and will not restock, clearly many or all their customers would purchase this item its the reason we bought their blenders for our health, what's the difference??. why can't they do something? also with all attachment I invested, I would still need to purchase another attachment to do dry ingredients which will be another close to $200. Perhaps I will need to move on to other companies and products to better serve our health. Its almost like you can't put a price on our health and wellness, its human nature to take care of ourselves. so much deception. I wish everyone the best of health we must continue in faith knowing theirs a higher greater power then us our creator, God bless us all who perseveres and trust in Him.. WHAT'S HAPPENENING!!. You would think they would want their loyal customers happy and continue to progress, its not a cheep investment. Many of the customers have been with Vitamix for many many years and have more then a few of their products. I do hope they well eventually listen to their customers catch up and be current.
I read in the comments that you can use the Void lid inside the Blendtec sound enclosure units. I'm considering buying the Blendtec Professional 800 and adding the Void lid. Can anyone confirm that this will work?
If your dynapro is not holding vacuum then it is likely you have a vacuum leak. Please watch my trouble shooting video at th-cam.com/video/VbK3-waIYNI/w-d-xo.html If that does not solve the issue, and you purchased the dynapro brand new, Tribest should be able to assist further and repair/replace parts if a defective part is causing the issue. Hey John, I'm busy working and trying to skim through the video on my 30 min lunch break. In your opinion, what would be the best option to go with for the best blending results if someone has none of these items and money is not an issue? Should I go with the Blendtec, Vitamix or Void option here? Thanks.
If you already own a vitamix and also have a blendtec, then I would get the vitamix solution, as that will work on your vitamix and then the lid would work on your blendtec. The void systems blender lid is compatible with the blendtec but NOT with the vitamix. The Void Carafe (on vitamix kit or void blender) based on my test blends to a more fine consistency than the blendtec blade (that is more dull) based on my testing.
Thank you! I went with the Void blender full kit. Seems to be the best solution if you need a motor base and for the best performance and money saving.
@@truthinentertainment1028 What has your experience been? Do you feel that vacuum blended smoothies are superior to regular smoothies? Have you had any issues with the Void Blender kit?
Height of Vitamix Carafe with Lid installed about 10" tall, it has a total capacity of 64 ounces, but I do not recommend filling past 48 ounces when vacuum blending.
Each Vacuum blender has its own set of pros and cons. I have not tested this system against the dynapro yet. I like the dynapro due to the 15 yr warranty, where as this blender and lid kit has only a 3 yr warranty. I do like the lid that simplifies vacuum blending, as tribest requires 8 AA Alkaline batteries that can be used about 100 cycles before they must be changed. The void systems has a high-energy lithium battery that can be wirelessly recharged. To me it is a no-brainer if you already have a blendtec or vitamix to get this lid to vacuum blend. As you can still use your current blender with or without vacuum.
@@MrJoyboii If I did the marshmellow test, it would take as long as the biochef pump in this test, so it is 2x as fast. My guess is that it pulls an equivalent amount of vacuum pressure, but I Would need to test to be sure.
For Void website... "- Catch assembly needs to be cleaned with soap and then alcohol after every use." Interesting gadget, I see it as a problem waiting to happen.
I understand that John prefers vacuum blending, but is he indirectly saying that normal blending is terrible, and has he stopped any support to sell normal (non-vacuum) blenders?
YES. I personally believe traditional blenders are inferior, and I will no longer be offering any non-vacuum blenders. I encourage people that are health-minded to make the move to vacuum blenders. There are many solutions available or you can even DIY your own vacuum blender.
@@discountjuicers Thank you John! I am due to get a new blender (my old high speed blender is almost a decade old and is now just too loud for me). I am ordering a kuvings vacuum blender, thanks to all your videos)...
I just want to be able to vacuum blend while still using my Vitamix carafe / blade. Other blenders, included other expensive ones, just don't blend the same as the Vitamix. Can't someone just create a pump & lid (or pump-lid combo like the Void system) for the Vitamix carafes? Geez.........
Hey John, I have received the void systems complete kit, which I'm enjoying, but I was wondering: Will the Blendtec wildside+ jar fit on top of the void motor base? I'm curious because it looks to me to be a little bit larger capacity carafe compared to what void is offering and I think it would be good to switch between the 2 depending on if I'm making a bigger recipe. Just curious if it's possible, thanks.
I have not tested them. That being said I love my Magimix Food Processor. It is the best. The Magimix blenders do not appear to be vacuum blenders, at this point, I only recommend vacuum blenders due to the drastic difference in nutrition as well as bloating that can be caused by traditional blenders.
John: Just so I can plan for the future - you recommend vacuum blending for anything soft or with high water content (e.g. berries, citrus, melons, tomatoes, etc.), auger (slow juicing) for hard or leafy vegetables (e.g. carrots, celery, kale, oat grass, etc.) and centrifugal (high speed juicing) for nothing unless that is the only machine you have. Do I have this correctly?
Fred, each method of "juicing" or processing has its own set of pros and cons. In general, vacuum blending for high water content ingredients OR high water ingredients WITH leafy greens or STEM veggies or lesser amounts of root veggies, as roots contain the least amount of water content as related to fiber. Slow juicing is good for roots and greens as well as fruits. I generally dont recommend centrifugal unless you have nothing else.

What are the benefits of vacuum blending?
Hi, i would like to ask you, if this kit will fit on a Vitamix Pro 750. Thanks a lot
@@mimoza191 Yes. That is a classic model and it will fit.
@@MoDavI-sl7iy Many: Less Separation, Less Airation, Less Bloating/Gas due to more dissolved oxygen in your blends, better color retention, more effective blends, more oxygen sensitive vitamins and phytonutrients
I have noticed that also. Thanks for reminding me when I make a video about it, I will mention :)
How long have you had the void for? Do you think it has a higher failure rate than the biochef vacuum?
Hi, do you think this kit will fit on a Vitamix pro 750? Thanks
I've purchased the VOID Vacuum blending retrofit kit for my Vitamix and will be trying it out for the first time today. (Yes, I charged the lid). Do I understand correctly the following steps after filling the blender:
1. Press the GO button and allow it to run til it hits 17 or 18
2. Turn off the vacuum (per someone in the comments who said to do this or it ruins the internal vacuum hardware)
3. Blend
4. Pull up the red tab to release the vacuum, remove lid and pour
I'm wondering if I need to do any pre-programming, and if so, how? Also, what does the button to the left of the GO button do (looks like a fast forward symbol)?
Thank you so much!
VITAMIX PLEASE MAKE YOUR OWN VACUUM BLENDING LIDS! IT’S 2022 ComeON!
I bet if they did, it wouldn’t be backwards compatible. 😒. I love my vitamix but they don’t think about the customers who have older versions. For instance their single serve solution for older models is ugly and I think slapped together. But that’s just my opinion/thoughts.
Meanwhile it's almost 2025 and still no vacuum option:(
I swear this dude hasn't aged since his first vid.
He definitely practices what he preaches. And shares so much helpful information
Thank You John! I made my first vacuum smoothie this morning and I am in LOVE!
Fantabulous!

I first learned vacuum blend from John
Once vacuum blend I had never turn back
Thank you , for this video!
Thank you!
Does your comment apply also to the Dynapro?
@@RemnantDiscipleLazzaro-Rev1217 Not really the Dynapro has a separare pump, I would not blend with the pump running in any case.

2) The Blendtec vacuum pump was discontinued and is not available for sale. I have not done a direct comparison at this point.
3) I believe the breville Super Q vacuum blender was discontinued and is not being promoted by Breville.
John, thank you so much. This is very informative.
how is the void complete solution in terms of reliability? is it as good as vitamix? Their website does not give out details about the motor etc etc
Thank you John for the review.
Is there any comparable vacuum blender but much less noisy?
There are several vacuum blenders that include sound enclosures, including the Kuvings that I currently sell, and the Kuvings commercial coming out NEXT year (est price $2000). Also some other Chinese Imports that may not have good customer support/warranty service should they break. The Void-systems lid can be used the with Commercial Blendtec blender that has a sound enclosure to make it more quiet.

If I add the ingredients and pull the vacuum to the required value, will it still work good if I turn it off to avoid sucking liquid into the lid?
YES! you can totally do that, and that would be a "safer" way to ensure long-term durability and easier cleaning of the vacuum pumps in the void lid.
John why don't you just design your own that is just a hand pump with no parts to fail. done. :)
regardless, thanks for your videos. you have certainly inspired myself and many others to get super into juicing....
@@discountjuicers honestly my favorite device right now is the omega nc800 red colour. by chance they mislabeled it on amazon as a 5th generation machine and sold it as discontinued for 200US$ and I am enjoying it so much for batch juicing every day with fermentation lids for the whole day....
all the best john. and thanks
in a way the dynapro gets a much more powerful and smooth blend than blendtec... and has the best warranty (unless you live and travel internationally outside the warranty area like i do a lot)
I dunno about letting that thing keep pumping while blending. Won't the splash-back get sucked into the pump?
YES, things can get sucked into the pump is you fill up the carafe too much or if it splashes too much. The VOID was designed to pump liquid thru the pumps without problem. I have done this many times, and I clean it by running water thru the pumps when washing at the sink.
Awesome, how does the void system compare to the tribest dynapro in terms of performance?
In terms of vacuum strength- I have not tested. I would suspect they pull the same vacuum.
In terms of vacuum time to pressure - the Void Systems lid is about 2x faster based on this test
In terms of blending, I have no idea.

Is original vacuum blender better than non vacuum with void lid on?
Thank you!
I will probably not review until 1st quarter 2023 at this point.
Will the kit work with BioloMix 2200W Blender Mixer . Cheers
Once you determine the highest number the unit can comfortably get too, then I recommend blending each time at that number.
can you test the void blender more?

Once you vacuum blend, the blended mixtures will store longer than a non-vacuum blended mixture. Of course, to extend the life of the vacuum blended mixture, it is also best to vacuum save them in a mason jar with a lid and pump kit I recommend www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B65MDRTS I have no problem vacuum blending and vacuum storing foods in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Vacuum blender is better than cold press by Nama J2?
Depends how you define "better". Vacuum Juicing IS better than the Nama J2 in terms of nutrition, and yield for sure, but requires much more labor. (hand squeezing) where as the Nama J2 is easier, load up the juicer and walk away. I personally own both, and use them both depending on the recipe and how much work I feel like doing. The Nama J2 can also produce juice MUCH faster than vacuum blending.
Amazing. Is that also works with Omniblend? Thank you John.
I have not tested the omniblend with this attachment. If your omniblend blender will work with a standard vitamix container (borrow a friends) then it should work.
Appreciate the integrity sharing about vacuum juicing.
How do I know if my vitamin is the one that has the chip?
Hey John, you should do a test on the Nuwave Moxie Vacuum blender. Curious to see what you think of it.

@@discountjuicers I just want to make sure, is the Dynapro 2250 Vacuum Blender your favourite?
Hello Mr. John,
I want to buy a blender, which blender do you recommend? On Blendtech or on VOID?
Hi John, can we have an update video on your experience with the VOID vacuum system?
since I made this video, I have used the lid and vitamix carafe many times. The battery did discharge after about a month of use, and the lid is still working great. I recently took the lid and carafe on vacation to Puerto Rico to use it on my friends vitamix, where it worked without issue. I can pump down to 17 to 18 generally.
John will this kit, carafe and vacuum lid, fit on the Vitamix Super 5000?
Oh and how do you compare this system to the Dyna Pro vacuum blender?
YES. it will fit the Super 5000.
@@marystephens765 Watch th-cam.com/video/P5kuLz8Oun4/w-d-xo.html for a full comparison.
John, where can I find this for an older vitamix model with a round lid?
TY!
YES.. The VOID systems kit is BPA free.
Manufacturer should greatly improve the fit of the lid, such that vacuum is not lost.
which blender has the best base? the void set is much more cost effective but is one base better than another?
Each base has its own set of pros and cons. I believe the blender carafe is more important than the base, personally. The durability of the Blendtec & Vitamix Motors, I would say are far better than the VOID systems blender motor.
Will the void system vacuum Lid fit Blendtec professional 800 with sound enclosure?
Yes!
Hello, does the kit work with the Blendtec 800? (noise cancellation)?
This question was addressed in a comment above and said yes.
can i use this with a ninja blender?
Greetings John, does this mean that this attachment along with the Blendtec blender replaces the Dynapro Vacuum Blender as your favorite vacuum blender now
Depends in what instance and the specific task. The void lid sucks a much faster vacuum than the dynapro, but the dynapro has a much better warranty.
Is this compatible with Vitamix e310 ?
Yes, the E310 does not use the SELF-DETECT system so it should work
Do you have lids for ninja
The Commercial Auto Vacuum Blender CB1000 from Kuvings has been released in the EU. John Kohler talked about it in a video last spring. It has a price tag equivalent of almost 2,500 USD! 😵
Wishing for a good/high quality kit for my Vitamix to turn it into a vacuum blender. Not convinced that the kit from Void Systems is one such.
The Kuvings CB1000 should be released in the USA in FEB. The Retail will be $2000 but there will be a good discount when it is released, so subscribe to my videos and wait for my review in FEB.
Hey John, does the void top work for the vacuum sealing of mason jars that you showed us in another video?
You can only use the void TOP to seal small mason jars that fit INSIDE the blender carafe when it is OFF the blender. The VOID Lid is not compatible to seal stand-alone lids at this point.
Will this lid fit on the Dynapro?
The Bio-chef pump also runs on batteries.
I have a Vitamix ascent 3500. Is this lid kit compatible John?
No. No Ascent models and No models with the SELF-DETECT technology. I do talk about that in the video at 14:16
Is that good also for Omniblender? Thank you.
YES. I have the blendtec with sound enclosure, and the void lid will fit easily and you can still close the lid of the sound enclosure.
could it be the reason one sucked up the oxygen more quickly be because one pitcher is larger? Great comparison review though.
YES that is ONE reason, the other reason is because the VOID system has dual pumps, so it does 2x as much pumping in the same time.
How does this compare to the Dynapro vacuum Blender? My Dynapro Blender doesn’t hold a vacuum well.
WHEN MINE DID THAT I changed the lid rings ans cleaned al the mating surfaces really well...works like new.
If your dynapro is not holding vacuum then it is likely you have a vacuum leak. Please watch my trouble shooting video at th-cam.com/video/VbK3-waIYNI/w-d-xo.html
If that does not solve the issue, and you purchased the dynapro brand new, Tribest should be able to assist further and repair/replace parts if a defective part is causing the issue. You can contact them at 888 254 7336
I have a question about the lid size
Anyone have the size and which other blenders it can be used?
This lid can ONLY be used on Blendtec Blenders as well as the Vitamix Carafe by Void systems or Void Systems blender.
How much does it cost.
Each kit has a different price. Check out void systems at bit.ly/voidvacuum for pricing, and don't forget to use coupon code DJ25 to save $25 off the listed prices!
How tall is the vitamix cafe & lid? Is it taller than the wide vitamix cafe?
Height of Vitamix Carafe with Lid installed about 10" tall, it has a total capacity of 64 ounces, but I do not recommend filling past 48 ounces when vacuum blending.
Do you prefer this over the Dyan pro vac
@@discountjuicers ok thank you I may see the test over the Dyana pro and also how long this new lid style will work.
Thank you for your time time The dynapro how long does it take to take vacuum pump to shut of after us it?
@@MrJoyboii If I did the marshmellow test, it would take as long as the biochef pump in this test, so it is 2x as fast. My guess is that it pulls an equivalent amount of vacuum pressure, but I Would need to test to be sure.
is the system for the vitamix BPA free?
YES. the void systems kit is BPA FREE made from Eastman Tritan same as the material that blendtec and vitamix makes their carafes about.
Awesome! 👍
No, the vitamix or blendtec Jars will not fit on top of the void motor base. They use different couplings and spacing.
@@discountjuicers Thanks. I think it's that the button won't depress on the motor base from what I can tell.
The audio needs to fixed in the latest videos
Good night from #Venezuela. What about #Magimix blenders? (They are #MadeinFrance.)
