I think random posters put the performance out right away but they’re not official so there a copyright violation. Then the sound editors for the official event catch up and put it out. I’ve seen lots of performances disappear and reappear later
How is it that I can’t understand a word of what these ladies are saying, but they still manage to bring tears to my eyes every time they perform? Just incredible. I saw them live when they opened for and played with The Arcs in Seattle at The Moore theater. It’s rare anymore to see a group whose live performances truly outweigh what they’ve done in studio. I will forever be a fan.
Don't sing to me anymore cigada and just a sonsonete that the song here in the soul like a dagger gets into me.. knowing that when she sings(long vocal note) proclaiming you go your death. Under the shade of a tree and to the beat of my guitar I sing happily this huapango, because life is over(as the time goes) And I want to die singing as the cicada dies.. and I want to die singing as the cicada dies... the cicada Of course the rhyme doesn't match because of the translation Basically the lyrics have a poetic meaning behind the fact that cicadas make the loudest singing when they are mating and then they die.
That's the power of music in any language. You can also hear opera arias in other languages or songs in French and not understand a word, but still be moved by the power and beauty of music, just as you can be moved by a symphonic piece that doesn't have any words. Music does that. And these women are amazing, which helps!!
Thank you for making this magnificent performance viewable to all. I cannot get enough of watching these ladies perform this song, as well as Linda's reaction.
I loved Linda going all the way back to the 70s as a child, and now in my older age, I ADORE Flor de Toloache- the vocal chops on all of these women are a thing to behold, indeed! Just perfection!
I saw them perform a song in English in a ChapStick commercial about 10 years ago (before they even released their first album). I really liked them even then and I just had to know who they were. They've come a long way since then.

Just by watching at the faces of Lars Ulrich and Dave Copperfield, you realize how beautiful and harmonic these talented women are! Chills!
The harmonies in the soaring soprano voices is pure magic! A proper tribute to Linda Ronstadt!
This was the perfect song for honoring Linda Ronstadt.
I must have watched this a thousand times,my god these women can sing and play. Absolute perfection.
Great honors to Linda's heritage , barely mention of her Mexican roots. Just Beautiful
I love this female group of Marachi’s! They are So Freakin’ Amazing. Thanks for posting this!
Amazing Amazing Amazing.
Wonder why they removed this performance from all websites previously. Glad to see it back up. A wonderful tribute to an amazing artist
Yeah, I was wondering about that too. Happy that's back up tho

Beautiful Linda’s version of this traditional Mexican song is also amazing.
Omg, I nearly lost it when I saw Linda 😘

Mexican mariachi music has a way of bringing out that kind of reaction from people regardless of their nationality .

Most skills can be learned over time. A true Artist must be born to it. These women are Artists.
