Nice! One note, you briefly mentioned counterbalancing but didn’t show how it’s done. Any iinstructions? Especially for a NextStar 6 SE :)

even though it's built for it, always feel weird seeing weight being added to the front lenses. more weight on glass doesn't sit right with me

man just a small bump and you shatter that corrector plate, risky mod lol. Wish they made them for meades too though.. idk why they don't exist for a meade.

Do the Hyperstars come pre collimated before they are shipped?

I have 9.25" Celestron and a HyperStar from Starizona along with a ZWO 294. Can you advise which fittings to use to attach the CCD? Having difficulty making the connection.

Nice video, but how does one unthread the first ring when the secondary is spinning because yall can't include a 10$ gasket? (And charge it to the hyperstar).

pull it towards you and give it a guick sharp spin as its stuck

Does the corrector plate flex from these cameras?

    • @lespoy445
      @lespoy445 ปีที่แล้ว

I heard that the procedure, if care is not taken with this installation or when moving the scope, that pulling or tripping on the cords to the camera, not having the counter balancer on it, she'll does a nose dive and break the corrector glass. It's a tragedy best to avoid. Can you think of anymore final destination scenarios where this could go wrong? I'd be interested for your input. I will have a CPC 925 deluxe HD and pro wedge mount, soon and I was very interested in this Hyperstar conversion idea for faster focal imaging, but thinking maybe there is another option worth affording. The guy at the store gave me a warning about this.

    So a make shift RASA

Not really. More like having one scope do double duty for considerably less $$$.
One OTA, one Mount. Use the scope visually, or for high magnification photography, switch to the hyperstar for wide field photography.
With RASA, you would either go through the hassle of switching OTA on the mount, or the expense of another mount along with the cost of the RASA.
If money was no obstacle, I would own multiple rigs, but hyperstar is a great option, at less than half the cost of just a RASA OTA (8 inch), and way way less then half if the 11 or 14 inch RASA are considered. 36cm (14 inch) RASA well over $10K...hyperstar, under $2K
      - Cheers

@@StarizonaTV Question. When I finally have enough $$$$ to buy one for my CPC1100 setup I'm curious if I the adapters for different mounts are interchangeable so I can buy additional adapters at a later date (i.e. so I can start off telephotography with say my Nikon D750 but down the road buy a dedicated imager or switch to a mirror-less mount that becomes an option. I'm also a former Canon shooter and kept my old 5D that I may send off for H-alpha adjustment - D750 is may daily so can't do that).
If the answer is yes where do I purchase more adapters as I can't quite find the on you site. [UPDATE leaving the question in case someone else has it but I think I figure it out. Was looking for "Brand" adapter and I now see you guys have it split up by "Custom" and "Camera" with drop downs after you select those items in the Adpater's section. 2nd Question still applies]
Also on the CPC1100 what is the effective FOV on a Full Frame camera like the D750?
Also are there any "wireless" mount options. And finally how much weight can you expect to put on the end of the Hyperstar (as in what will the CPC1100 Edge HD take before it busts the plexiglass?)?
