Amazing vid. Moved from the Pokemon tcg so the adapting is kind of hard but this helped a lot though I have a question. Are Boss Deck cards allowed in competitive decks? I have a boss deck variant of an already existing Angeal Penance card (3-099R), stats going from 7000 to 8000 CP and the cost going down from 4 to 3. Was just wondering bc it doesn’t specify in both rules for the game and the boss deck’s rules
Thanks for the comment! It can be overwhelming moving to a new style of TCG for sure but I'm glad you found the content helpful :) Unfortunately you can't use the Boss deck variations of cards in constructed (some would be way too powerful haha)
I appreciate this video thanks man. It's nice to see how other people make decks :). The 12 T1 backups seems like a high number I usually aim for 9-10 but it gets to 12+ sometimes cause I do not include the 3 cp searchers as my T1 backups. So I learned something about myself
A well done video! Glad to see more videos like this for new/existing players who want to learn more. Will definitely reference this video every time I build a new deck
As always a great vid my friend. I always look forward to your analyses and methods. Keep up the good work. I am looking forward to the rules video for opus 8!!
I'm not going to play this game competitively, I just want to play this game for fun. But it is good to know how the Meta works in this game and what cards I can use, or what deck to make. I'll probably be aiming my decks to more Anti-Meta solutions.
Older vid, but damn I laughed at your first point. It's not find a game mechanic or two and build around that. No, no, it's find something "unfair" and build around it. XD Well all TCGs and CCGs are unbalanced/broken products. They are a business model first, game second. Not sure if monsters were a thing back then, but I've seen monster focus decks that aim to stop any deck that doesn't contain sufficient monsters.
Find your unfair thing! What can FF XIII do which sets it apart? I think Amodar searching Snow is pretty cool. Or if you like a certain character like Lightning, maybe there's a deck for that character specifically; the new Lightning from Opus X is pretty good.

Awesome video, very informative and handy
Not all Yunas are water just fyi. I’ve seen mono wind decks with heavy summons with light yuna run really good.
Edward Smith You're right but in this case we can't really run Light Yuna because we have a Yuri focus that's why I didn't include her

so...if i want to make a "FFXIII-ish" deck, how to build it? :O

@@Shikadi and for an X-ish deck?
for some category (V....for example) is impossible to build a real deck.... sadly...
